The city of Forks, WA hosted their first Stephenie Meyer Day last year and have plans for a party this year as well. They have designated Stephenie Meyer Day on the weekend of Bella's Birthday. You can find out more on the City of Forks website.

If you think you might go, then reserve a hotel room early. This is a popular event.

This seems like fun! I first heard about this on the Forks DVD. Is this an organized event? Or are people basically on their own for events, meals, etc.?

But I am curious....for those that have attended: Would you recommend going to Forks for an event like this, or another time (when it won't be as crowded)

This sounds like it would be A LOT of fun & a great event to attend. I hope if I'm ever able to make it to the Forks area that I can do it on this weekend to attend. I've always wanted to go to the Oregon/Washington area (even before my obsession with Twilight) and this would be a great reason to go, so I really hope to someday. (Meeting other fans would be so amazing!) I just hope that when I can afford it the even will still be going on. And I bet because of the popularity of the event the hotels & everything are more expensive. Here's to hoping one day. I hope we'll get someone who has been to comment on this thread. I'd like to hear about experiences.
