I agree with you, they should have a special eye colour....I wonder what would suit them..maybe silver or lime green?? They have something physical to identify them though. THey are BIg. plus they have the cropped hair style. But i still think you have a point

Isn't that just depending on whether they're hungry or not, and how hungry they are? I don't remember their eyes being described as light brown.

Their eyes go from a bright topaz to a black color depending on when they last fed.

I wouldn't say dark brown, more like a very dark, dull-ish gold that a human who doesn't know any better would categorize as brown.
