You're welcome. :D But your other comment confuses me. Reading a Twilight book...a couple of scenes...at a time?
Um, that doesn't...compute. ;)
I'm sorry, but that line reminds me of the scene in New Moon when Edward says he doesn't want her and Bella's reaction is:
"You...don't...want me?" I tried out the words, confused by the way they sounded, placed in that order.
Hehe, I was actually stealing a line from Surf's Up (is that the surfing penguin movie?). One of my daughter's favorites, of course. But that works, too! Those words don't make sense to meeeeee!!!!

jettabugfox wrote:Anyway, I had to leave school early today to pick up my daughter (who has a 101 temp), so I will be reading all afternoon. It's too cold to do anything else but snuggle on the couch with her and read while she's watching Wall-E.
OOoooo. Poor daughter. Hope she feels better soon!!

How are you able to listen to all the music while sitting on the couch? Do you have an iPhone/PDA/laptop with Internet access to the playlist.com playlist? Please, oh, please don't tell me you actually went on iTunes and BOUGHT ALL those songs so they'd be on your iPod? :o

After all the hard work I went through to make them available for free?
No, I would NEVER do that... I only bought a few songs from iTunes. I have a very beautiful Mac laptop and a wireless modem. The laptop sits on my lap and the book sits on it. Works better that way so that I can look at the spreadsheet you so graciously sent me.

I just finished the part where Edward leaves. I have read New Moon about 6 times, and I am getting better at holding my emotions in check (well, to the point where I'm not blubbering through chapter 3 through 23  ). When Fly Away started, I just about DIED again. Then I read it through again with Chasing Cars. And Goodbye My Lover? Apocalypse Please? Blackout? WAS IT A DREAM?!?! Gawd, it was all so terrible and wonderful at the same time. Seriously, if you all haven't started reading with the playlist.com list going, you should. Rosespecialist is a genius. ;)

Ah. That makes much more sense. :D Don't scare me like that!

Jetta!!! I'm so sorry about your daughter, but so glad you're getting an opportunity to go through the playlist!

Need a tissue? ;)

I'll PM you funny story about how I got the idea for "Was it a Dream?"'s placement.

(Have you seen "Open Season"? "It's terrible and wonderful at the same time! It's like freedom in a cup!"
There - did that cheer you up? )

Thanks for the plug!

Ugh. Still love the idea of this thread. I've been using the playlist for Twilight occasionally, and it's really awesome to listen to the music while reading. Especially when the songs fit so well. :P

I was listening to my OWN playlist of songs that I really love, and the Rasmus' "No Fear" came on. Omgosh. I got THE biggest scene in my head. The melody and lyrics are perfect for Breaking Dawn, in my opinion. I keep listening to it over and over, because as much as I've already heard it, it never DAWNED on me until now. When I hear it, I imagine Bella giving birth and I see her screaming as she has to transform. And the most RANDOM image comes to me at the end: I totally see Jacob storming into the room, Rosalie turning around with Nessie, and Jacob stopping DEAD in his tracks. The song reminds me of Bella's transformation, so I don't know why I see Jake and Nessie. I guess it's because Renesmee is part of her undead life now. :P

Lol. I'm probably crazy. Take a listen here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRKmgsbTsQY) and tell me if I am. xD

Since when did I become an expert on crazy?

My speakers on the computer I'm using at the moment are messed up, so I can't hear it very well... But I like the lyrics (having looked them up) for that general area in BD. I'll add it to my notes! Thanks.

On a side note, that entire scene that you're describing during Book II (Jacob) takes place over a 13 page span, so based on my pacing of 1 min per page, I obviously can't use one song for that entire section. Plus I think per my notes, I have about 20 songs already assigned to that section of story in Book II and when it's repeated in Book III, so I'm already going to have to pick and choose as it is. In other words, I'll add it to the stack!

But I like what I was able to hear despite these stupid razzlefrazzlefhdjhduhulfhi speakers...

What!? You mean you CAN'T just play the song over. and over. and over again? xD I totally expected that. I didn't know exactly where it would fit, just that somewhere in those scenes would be awesome. And glad you liked it!

Y'know - if you happen to like a song so much that you want to play it over and over again, then please feel free to do so if you don't happen to like the other songs that would precede and go after it!

Confession: I like "The Widow" by The Mars Volta so much that I was tempted to have it play 3X in a row during the scene in Twilight where Bella arrives at the Ballet studio and James plays with his food. I ended up using elsewhere in the end.

Haha. I love guilty pleasures like that.

I'm indulging in another one. xD I'm back to listening to my playlist and remembered how much "Holiday" by Boys Likes Girls makes me think of when Jacob left at the end of Eclipse. Okay, a LOT of songs make me think of Jacob's departure, but the words really fit this time. Well, the chorus, anyhow. xD http://www.lyricsmania.com/lyrics/boys_ ... 24604.html if you want to take a look at the lyrics, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44ZEcEwLfgM for the song itself.

I'm sure you've got a lot of 'Jacob leaving' songs (Though I'm not sure. I haven't updated myself on the statuses. I've been so busy over at the Taylor Lautner thread talking about turtles and naming muscles... ) but I thought I'd throw that one out there, too. :P

I'll have to check this out when my speakers are working again. Again, thanks for the suggestion.

Reminder to all: The Twilight playlist is on page 2 of this thread and the New Moon playlist is on page 5!!

(I cannot freaking believe were on page 8 already!! Woohoo! :D )

Thank you for the page references.

I know! I remember when the thread had just a few wee replies. :( They grow up so fast.

Everytime I read NM, the part where Bella's running through the crowd trying desperately to reach Edward, i hear Talk You Down by The Script. The lyrics i think are the most appropriate from that song are:

No you couldn't' be that far
So I'm driving in my car where I hope you are
Maybe I can talk you down

AND

Gonna use my heart and not my head
and try to open up your eyes

AND especially, i think this applies to the whole of NM:

"coz if you go, i go...."
btw, u should give the song a listen coz its a gr8 song anyways... :)
Dear Jacob, I WIN. Sincerely, Edward.
