Just a note for anyone reading the reviews from Tia, her boyfriend is basically watching her reactions as Tia reads and listens at the same time and wrote out her reactions so Tia wouldn't have to stop to write down the notes. So the "her" is referring to Tia, but written from her boyfriend's POV.

(This is just so that everyone understands what's going on in the above post. She and I have been PM'ing back and forth clarifying what's going on, so I thought I would explain.)

Info above is from page 14 of Re: Setting the book to music

--After a few songs, my bf does take over the notes and lets me read.--
If my boyfriend wasn't here, you would only find 3 or 5 notes lol.
He avoids capitalized letters and punctuation marks, stating there just notes lol.
Mostly an overview, I tune out the world when reading and listening.

--Eclipse playlist review part 2 (part 1 is the prior page)--
Song#)Name of song: Me or my bf's notes and reactions to the songs.
26)We Are Broken: 3 The emotions and feelings that brings out, Nice.
27)Hang Me Up To Dry: 3 Mood fit with the explanation and the talk after perfectly.
28)I'm Not Over: 3 Slightly tense situation/talk, good song choice.
28)Troublemaker: 3
30)Is It Any Wonder: 2
31)Conventional Wisdom: 2
32)Sorry I Am: 3 ya she lost in the book now, looks kind of dazed
33)Oil and Water: 3 said that fit
34)Can't Stop the World: 2
35)Falling or Flying: 3 had a smile and frown on
36)That's Not My Name: 3 she looked guilty lol
37)Silver Lining: 3 smiled
38)Notion: 3
39)Silent All These Years: 3
40)Crucify: 3 she paled and cried then said the music helped
41)In A Lonely Place: 3 she whispered something i think
42)Ride: 3 had a big grin on and said song captured the mood perfectly
43)Waiting: 2 giggled and said nice song for here
44)Between You and Me: 3
45)Fury: 3 looked tense and almost cried and while reading she said that songs right
46)Being a Mockingbird: 1 Well 3 really, accent threw me completely. Song fit tho, used the notes to the songs lyrics.
47)Shine (Acoustic): 3 she looked dreamy and had to backtrack the song for her a few times
48)Is There a Ghost: 3 eyes got big and said that song is so appropriate an giggled
49)Hysteria: 3 Song started the mood as fast the book could insinuate. Song was perfect.
50)Drive: 2 or 3 looks like 3
51)Trains: 3 she seemed relaxed and moved with the music
52)I Predict a Riot: 3 giggled often and swayed to the music
53)Stab My Back: 3
54)Hallelujah: 3 moved to music then giggled
55)Wrapped In Your Arms: 3 think she likes your music, she gets all dreamy often lately
56)Go To Sleep: 3
57)Believe: 3
58)Wolves At Night: 3 nodded head and said good mood for that part
59)Just Untill Sundown: 3
60)-Ruled By Secrecy: 3 said oh wow i wanted to be there omg and she shook
-Note I had to take a break lol-
-I think every song so far blends into the book easy. Both in mood and time constraints.-
Some songs I don't understand the meaning of them. Accents confuse me.
As to the numbers after the songs:
For 3 It was like being there when listening and reading. Everything clicked, the tone and mood. I bounced thru the book.
For 2 It's really easy to get lost in the mood when the song and book team up.
For 1 The 1 just shows that I can't bridge the song into my first language easy. Mostly the lines or lyrics. Not that it doesn't fit!
Thanks! ~Tia

Hee hee. Thanks. Kings of Leon, yes, and a decent amount of it, too, but no Sam Bradley... BUT, Bobby Long, yes. ("Being a Mockingbird" is in Eclipse for the leg hitch scene). I've been meaning to check out Sam Bradley and will very likely include him for future editions of these playlists, but none yet.

Maybe you can answer this, the only Sam Bradley I can find on iTunes is a Sam Bradey, who released an LP called the "Sam Bradley LP". Is that him?

*facepalm* I always get those two mixed up. I had looked at the list for Eclipse while listening to Sam Bradley so my brain mixed them up. Oops.

Erm...it may be his but with a typo. On his site its called Sam Bradley EP and if you check his mypace he usually has a playlist with some of his new stuff on it and if there are any new music videos those as well (his profile is public so you don't have to have a myspace to see his). You really should check him out. Although, I love him and Bobby, but I actually prefer Sam's music.

OMG/OME, me too. Favorite scene in the series. The whole "please forgive me"/"I swear I've changed" from Edward in this scene goes back to the original meadow scene in Twilight for me. But now it's got some shades of low-voltage smut attached, which just...

ok stopping myself before I completely go off subject.

Back to your regularly scheduled forum. We apoligize for any inconvenience.

For new moon I have always two songs in my head, and everytime I hear them I think these should be on the soundtrack / playlist.

- Vampire heart by HIM, it describes I think Edwards way of thinking perfectly.

- Killing Loneliness also by HIM, it a depressing sons about loneliness and it always make me think about how bella is feeling.
Actually a lot of HIM songs are prefect for new moon, because a lot of them are about the dark side of love...

--After a few songs, my boyfriend takes over the notes and lets me read.--
He won't start a note with capitalization or end one with punctuation marks,
stating it's just easier for us to figure out who wrote the note.
Mostly an overview, I tune out the world when reading and listening too often.

--Eclipse playlist review part 3 (part 2 is above, 1 is prior page)--
##)page-Name of song: Me or my boyfriend's notes and reactions to the songs.
(This setup helps my boyfriend compare what song is playing to what page I'm on.)
60)244p-Ruled By Secrecy: 3 Eerie, as if you were reliving that part of their history.
61)249p-Knights of Cydonia: 3 Really dramatic. Very tense minute there, song captured that perfectly.
62)255p-Maps: 3 she lost in book and read fast then wiped her eyes to keep reading
63)258p-Black Mountain Side: 3 shook her head and said unreal, shes not so pale now
64)261p-A Lack Of Color: 2 or 3 said the music was nice, seemed calm
65)264p-Better Man: 3 that was sweet
66)269p-Studying Stones: 3 head moved to music
67)272p-Oceans: 3 she smiled and blinked alot
68)275p-You and Me: 3 looked lost a second then she sway to music
69)279p-New Born: 3 looked worried and she jumped at the music or sound
70)285p-I Burn: 3 blinked and worry and intense look, said that sounds nice
71)289p-The Outsider: 3 eyes still wide she sway to music some and said music fits
72)293p-After Dark: 3 moved to music
73)297p-Magdalena: 3 could tell when music changed eyes got big fast
74)301p-Tiny Little Fractures: 3 said real nice
75)303p-Optomistic: 3
76)310p-Not Enough: 3 face went thru several emotions but said song felt right
77)315p-Cannonball: 3 giggled and look relaxed and moved to music
-First option was between songs 78 and 79.-
78)320p-Love Me Like You: 3 jumped and laughed at her self after music started but looked relaxed
--Comparing 78 & 79, re-reading 320-325 with the next song on the list.--
79)320p-Sunset Gates: 3 Moody and thoughtful, about what Bella is going thru. And #78 might mesh better with the songs above and below the selection. By itself I would chose this song, but with the prior and following songs I would use #78 maybe.

80)325p-Volcano: 3 went back to book in a second lol
81)330p-Vindicated: 3 think she was more mad then bella but did move to the music after a bit
82)334p-A Little Less Sixteen Candles...: 3 still mad she read fast then asked me to backtrack song again
83)336p-Think Twice: 3 still tense she read fast and asked for song backtrack again, think it helped
-Second option was between songs 84 and 85.-
84)340p-Overweight: 3 a smile and giggle so are calm again. then said that song fits there nice
--Comparing 84 & 85, re-reading 340-345 with the next song on the list.--
85)340p-Karma Police: 3 I prefer this one over #84, It's relaxing and nicer. A calming after a Jacob incident.

86)346p-Angeles: 2 likes the song for here
87)349p-Hundred Mile High City: 3 looked excited and head bouncin to the music
88)353p-Time of Your Life (Good Riddance): 3 looked all dreamy and said thats so nice then cryed
89)356p-This Year's Love: 3 still dazed she sway to the music, happy i think
90)360p-Little Heaven: 3 said that was nice
91)365p-Have You Seen My Baby: 3 her eyes lit up and she said we have to go there someday
92)369p-Hit The Floor: 3 still excited she was moving to the music saying something to fast to understand
93)372p-Make Damn Sure: 3 said i love that song for this
94)376p-Yes Please: 3 looked tense then giggled and said another jacob moment this songs perfect, then looked pale
95)379p-Skeptics and True Believers: 3 said with this music the book is so much more exciting

---I think every song so far blends into the book easy. Both in mood and time constraints.
The 1 page per minute to song minute, seems consistant throughout the book. Took a few chapters to get use to it.
Re-reading the sections for Playlist #78 & 79, and #84 & 85 showed me just how much a song can influence a mood.
As to the numbers after the songs:
For 3 It was like being there when listening and reading. Everything clicked, the tone and mood. I bounced thru the book.
For 2 It's really easy to get lost in the mood when the song and book team up.
For 1 it's the accent, placement of words in the lyrics or the fast pace of words that confused or overwhelmed me.

changed 93)372p-Taking Back Sunday/Make Damn Sure:, to Make Damn Sure: Now it's the song. Ty for pointing out the correction.
marielle, Hearts-midnight_sun-hearts (sorry, I am equally or more obtuse in computer lingo) and BiTwiCre, (please forgive if I forget anyone!) thanks toward anyone that has provided to the book-to-music analyst. It's good that you are there to provide in-depth scrutiny on character moods-to-music, as I get too involved in the books and lost within.
