Actually there is another book to be written. But Meyers stopped because a draft went public over the internet...
Yeap but that book is just Twilight but from Edward's perspective - Midnight Sun.

ahaha Lightwish I agree with you. I wrote this somewhere else but it would be awesome if SM wrote another book. Maybe like 50 years later or a century later when Reneesmee is with Jacob and there's a showdown between the Volturi and the Cullens.

You and I are definitely on the same wavelength!!!!

I would have to say that my favourite book in the series was Twilight because that's where it all started. You get your first glimpse into the world of Twilight. It was by far the best book in the series, I really enjoyed it.

Twilight is where it all started, Bella and Edward's love started, Bella's friendships with Jacob and the Cullen's, Victoria's hunt. Everything started in Twilight. Without Twilight no one would know what was going on in the rest of the series.

Maybe I'm just saying this because in New Moon Edward left and I was heartbroken, I've only read Eclipse twice, and in Breaking Dawn Bella got pregnant, but all of those things set me off of the other books, I didn't like them as much. But now it's got me thinking "If I were to re-read Eclipse would it be my favourite?" so now I shall go and read Eclipse again, I'm sure that I'll come back and say again "Twilight is still my favourite" because there will be something in Eclipse that set me off the book.

Those are just my thoughts on the series so please don't hunt me down with pitch forks and torches!

Well first of all, let me say that to me Twilight and New Moon feel like one whole book. Then Eclipse is the book after, followed by Breaking Dawn. I absolutely love them all. It's such a beautifully written series. :] Anyways, if I had to choose, it would probobly be Breaking Dawn. There's never a dull moment in it; there's always something going on. And it really is just like three different books in one. After that, I like Twilight and New Moon equally, followed by Eclipse. But it's extremely close.

navarre wrote:As much as I loved "The book that shall not be Named" I can not read it again because it absolutely ruined Twilight for me. I have to know Edward's POV now that SM has placed her manuscript on her website.

I have gone back and forth but I think 'Twilight' will always have a special plac ein my heart because it was so fresh and new and exciting. The love story was so wonderfully created and written and it still holds the 'magic' for me.

By the way, has anyone put these books down for a while and then come back to them? I actually walked away for a month and now because I can not resist their 'siren call', I have picked up Twilight for the 14th, yes, 14th time.

If you have done this, how long did you go without reading them again and was it hard to stay away?

I'm curious.
The last time I read the books was October 2008, it is now February 2009. I tried to re-read the series in January but I couldn't get into them, I was heart broken but stopped, thinking "maybe I need to take a break and read something else for a while" I haven't tried to come back to the books yet because I still don't feel the need to read them. I am exploring new books and series and now that I think about it, there are a few books that I enjoyed close to or the the same as Twilight. I think that every Twilighter out there should drop Twilight for a few months and read something else. You might find that there are other books out there that are just as good, I know that I did.

I know that you are all going to hate me now but it's the truth. If anyone takes my advise and drops Twilight for a few months please contact me and tell me how it was because I would like to know your point of views on it. I expect that you have all deemed me crazy and insane now but I have spoken the truth.

Some books that I have read that I really liked were: The *Mortal Instruments series by ??, *Pretty Little liars series by ??, *Stones & Crabbe by William Bell, *Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli, The Eyes Of The Dragon - Stephen King, Inkheart series by Cornelia Funk, *The Hunger Games by ??, and Sisters in sanity by ??. I am just about to start The girl who could fly and Fell (Don't know who their by sorry!)

I thoroughly enjoyed all of these books.

*My favourites.

Favourite book; New Moon & Eclipse

Why?; Everything about the New Moon book hooks me in. While I'm not keen on the Bella/Jacob lark, I do love the book. Of course, I was sooo upset that Edward left, I knew he would come back so that's okay!! I really felt for Jasper because of what happened at Bella's 18th! I was sooo glad when Alice came back, she's great I have to say, and the fact Alice had thought Bella had killed herself I was all .. awwww!! More so with the fact that she came back even though she thought Bella wouldn't be alive, just to support Charlie, she is so kind and caring. Then all the .. against time, to stop Edward from killing himself, I thinkit's great.

Eclispe was great as well, the detail in everything was amazing and alot of the time I was on the edge of my seat. Yes, I don't like Jacob all too much, so that relationship I basically ignored. The wedding proposals are great of course, I mean, they have to get married that's just .. right! hehe! Then the fight at the end is of course great fun to read!

My favorite book of the series was New Moon.

Twilight was such a great book, so I knew the sequel would be even better, but I couldn't have imagined how much I would love it. Bella dealing with the loss of Edward was the most amazingly written piece of fiction that I'd ever read. Everything that Bella went through when Edward left, I had went through at a point in my life, so I could really sympathize with her and that made the book all the more real. Bella's graphic description of the pain that she felt in her chest when thinking or talking about Edward, the Cullens or anything else in that world was unbelievably accurate. Bella struggling with the pain, getting to know Jacob, the whole werewolf addition and then getting a happy ending cuz Edward came back was all just perfect.

"It was a crippling thing, this sensation that a huge hole had been punched through my chest, excising my most vital organs and leaving ragged, unhealed gashes around the edges that continued to throb and bleed despite the passage of time." --New Moon pg. 118

New moon was hands down my favorite of them all, with breaking dawn a close second. That's why I'm really hoping they do a good job with the New Moon movie

Okay, I can't remember if I already posted on this topic yet, but even if I did I know that my order has changed.

Okay, first is Eclipse. I love Eclipse. I think it's because Edward is finally back and they have renewed their love for each other. Plus it's the book where Edward convinces Bella to marry him. :D

Actually, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn are a draw for me. I just thought back on Breaking Dawn and I really loved every second of it. Especially Jacob's chapter titles. And the ending is so magnificent because Jake imprints on Nessie and he isn't pining for Bella anymore, yet he can still be a part of her life. I loved how it ended up happy.

Then Twilight - it's the first and it's when Bella first discovers Edward and it's still a really great book every time I read it.

New Moon is last, merely because there wasn't enough Edward. Don't get me wrong, I love Jacob, but a Twilight saga book without Edward will immediately hit the bottom for me. Lol.

Can't wait for Midnight Sun though - all Edward. Chyeahh. 8-)

My favorites come in this order.

Twilight is the one the LOVE! I adore it and could bearly live without it. I LOVE the classic feel it has to it.
Breaking Dawn is next I LOVE how the theme of the book is incircled by romance. I adore how they show their love for the other.
Eclipse is #3 because it's dedicating and promising. When he proposes is So ROMANTIC!
Finally New Moon because Edward was hardly there so it wasn't too romantic(and I completly ADORE romance if you can't tell) but the end is so funny yet so romantic because of the way he protects her in Italy and when he proposes.

Its really hard to choose. I guess I would have to say my favorite book out of the whole saga is Breaking Dawn. Followed by Eclipse, Twilight and then New Moon.

Breaking Dawn is my favorite because its more "mature". We get to see Bella, finally, as a vampire, and we get to experience her change into immortality. We get to experience her giving birth to Nessie, and Bella as a mom. PLUS, Jacobs point of view was one of my favorite things to read in the book. It shows us a better understanding of Jacob and we are better able to see why he is the way he is. I have to say after reading Jacobs POV, I do like him a lot. I never really hated Jacob, but I really like him now. He's shot up to one of my favorite characters.

New Moon is my least favorite. Why? Because its so depressing. The first time you read the book, Its almost like you yourself are experiencing the pain of Edward leaving Bella. It's too difficult to read. The book is good, no doubt about that, but its my least read out of the series for that reason alone: its depressing. Of course - the best part of that book is when Bella and Edward are reunited. Love it.
