For the guys and the discussion about the venom. There have been comments about the warewolves dying if they get bit (I really don't remember reading it). That could be why it is assumed that the animal would die rather than being turned.
Here is my question....how much blood can a vampire ingest (drink, whatever term)? Could they drink a Elephant dry? They talk about bears, lions, deer. We know that Bella had 1 lion and 1 deer her first feeding.

I could not imagine a vamp draining an elephant dry unless they have not fed in weeks. And even then, I would not think so. I say they could probably put away quite a bit as newborns, but the older they get they would not need as much - better thirst control and I think the absorption is different the older the vampire.
They drink until they feel "sloshy".

Over in the XY they brought up a discussion about how vamp minds work and their speed, etc.
SinorGimp suggested that maybe vamps tap into the part of the brain that is "unused", as the old saying goes- Humans only use 10% of their brains. I just wanted to point out that it is a urban legend that we only use a small portion of our brains.
My favorite site (besides the Lex, of course
) is Snopes.com. They research and post the validity of common urban legends or modern rumors. I was curious if they would have anything about the 10% brain use, and they did:

I always assumed Edward was talking about Alice keeping her thoughts to herself in terms of Alice seeing Bella as a vampire someday...
This may have come up somewhere along the way in the two threads but I got lost in the other discussions and quit reading

i assume he was talking about alice's vision that bella be turned to a vampire.. I'm sure she and the rest of the cullens were thinking.. This would not be necessary if you just turn her!!

I saw that. And then stupid ringswraith (:P) had to step in and answer it. 
My answer would be no, but then again Eddie does say something along the lines of "but I am a man" etc..
