I can't imagine any of them with a different name, it just seems wrong!

Even Renesmee, I love that name, it fits her perfectly! It's not like she's ever going to go through a normal schooling system and have the kids laugh at her, where's the problem?

Yeah, I like Renesmee too. She's so unique she can't have an ordinary name like Jennifer or Sarah. And after saying it awhile you do get used to it and I think it's a pretty name.

I don't mind Renesmee's name, it rolls off the tongue nicely.

Though if she does do anything in the human world, it would be an odd name they'd have to make a back story for.

I never considered by this angle. It's possible, but maybe it won't be necessary. It's a name and people name their kids with different names all the time. But maybe they could change her name for Elizabeth or Vanessa or whatever if it gets too much complicated.

I wonder if she'd be bullied at school because of a name like Renesmee. I confess I have difficulties on pronouncing her name. it's easier to call her Nessie. "shrugs"

I think that most of the family calls her Nessie now, anyway. So if she joins her family and heads to school, she can be Vanessa. It would be odd for her to have Esme as part of her name - which I think people would notice - when Esme is usually the adoptive mother in the Cullen cover stories.

i don't know if sm thought about the origin of her characters' names, but:
isabella is the italian/spanish form of elisabeth which is hebrew and means "my god is seven" as seven equals perfection u could also translate it as "my god is perfection"
and edward means "shining or sharp sword" or if u take the german form "keeper of the treasure"
perfection and keeper of the treasure fits perfectly doesn't it?!

Renesmee should've been Carlie, I think it suits her a lot more than her first name which I think is weird.
But I think Aro should have a different name, because Aro is a Maori word which doesn't help my visulisation of Aro at all! Something darker, more mysterious...
But apart from that, I think everyone should keep their own names

Actually Renesmee wont be able to go to school for one simple reason:

She will reach full adulthood by 7 years of age. That means that if she went to gradeschool...she would have outgrown her entire class by the end of the semester! Everyone would notice for sure.

I'm pretty sure that when people say school they mean high school or college, as she's going to stop aging when she's physically 18-21, the same age as the rest of the Cullen siblings.

Yeah I don't think Nessie would be going to school until she's fully grown.

I like everyone's names; i can't picture them with anything else. the very first time i read the books, when jessica was saying all the cullen's names, i didnt like at all how like they all started w/ vowels almost....Esme, Edward, Emmett, Alice...that really made me mad for some reason, but now i dont care Lol.

Also, Carlie is a way more cuter name than renesmee or nessie.

the only name i would ever change would be esme's. i dont know what id change it to though. it's just no one can ever pronounce it right & it just seems wierd to me. oh wait, i also really dont like the name jacob...Jake is perfectly fine, but i just hate jacob.
