Whoa, really?

So it's like Vol-Fur-ee?

Well, I'm most definitely NOT the only that's been saying that wrong.

Well, the T is still a t, not an F. I was just saying that the er sound is like in fir. Sorry that wasn't obvious or clear.

I also pronouned Aro like "arrow." To answer the Brit who thought Arrow is normally pronounced like Aro anyway, here in America we don't. We pronounce "Arrow" like we do "Air", not "Ar" like a pirate. :) I've been saying Arrow in my head so much as well, this will take time to get used to Arrrro. Hah. Now I keep picturing Aro as a pirate. A bloodsucking, red-eyed pirate. What a scary sight. Far cry from good ol' Jack Sparrow, that's for sure :!:

Getting a little off topic now, just wanted to comment that yet another person was clueless about some of the names in SM's books. Though I'm proud to say I DID know how to pronounce Carlise, Esme, and Rosalie's names. I'm proud of that fact, at least. Heh. :geek:
So do you say Sparrow as in Captain Jack like sp-air-ow?
Sorry, Im english and i dunno how the american accent works.

I just got the audio books. I wonder how the reader, Ilyana Kadushin, knows how to pronounce all of these words and if she was able to speak with SM to get the official pronounciation. I love to read books and then listen to the audio. It teaches me how to pronounce things.
