Bella actually gives the pronunciation for Renesmee in Breaking Dawn. I don't have the exact page, but she says that it's pronounced like "may." So, it's Ruh-nez-may.

His name is English. You pronounce the 'isle' bit of his name the same way you would for the word 'isle', eg, "I went to visit the isle of Skye."
And technically, if he still uses his British accent, it should be 'Carl-isle' with the emphasis on the second half of the word.

I'm irish so I never realised the name siobhan would cause a problem for anybody!Its such a common name here that i couldnt imagine people not knowing how it was pronounced but looking at it now i can imagine how strange it looks!!

Audio Book Update

Nope, you can't count on the audio book to pronounce everything correctly. As far as I am concered, there seems to be a problem with the reader saying the word Volvo.

oh well....

ALSO, I watched an interview on youtube where SM said Renesme's name. So, if I can find it again, I will post it so everyone can have the official pronounciation from the author.

funny thing is, when I "searched" Reneseme, the word RESUME popped up a lot. I laughed, remembering the earlier posts!!!

And this whole time I thought I was pronouncing everything the right way. I'm kind of OCD when it comes to grammar. I always pronounced Esme like Es-Muh. I have no idea why. And it's kind of how I pronounce Renesmee. Re-nez-muh. (short e for the first part of the word.)

Hey guys, I want Midnight Sun published SO badly that I started a petition -- one to Stephenie telling her that we will abstain from reading the leaked chapters and we LOVE her and will support her with whatever time she needs to be able to get back to that project.

I thought this was the one name we'd be able to pronounce since Bella told us, right here on page 327 of BD.
