I still cannot underestand how some people can hate Jacob :? I mean, I ADORE Edward, he's the prince but Jacob is such a character, I can't hate him, I love him too.

As I said, I loved Jacob's book. I cried every time he looked at Edward's eyes, and Bella couldn't explain that to us as Jacob did, 'cause he tried so hard to hide the pain for her eyes
I didn't find the pack thing that much interesting :? but I agree with you guys, without this book we never would have a chance to really know Seth and awesome-Leah.
I loved being a Quileute for a while.

I know exactly what you mean loveuccs. I'm Team Switzerland. I love Edward for Bella but I can't help but love Jacob too! I'm so happy he found happiness and love! His book had the best chapter names, and I love how sarcastic he is!
I love the line Jacob says when he is first alone with Edward after he sees Bella pregnant. He says how he felt like a kid, because he'd have to live and suffer a lot longer to understand the pain in Edward's eyes. I just loved that. It was so interesting to see Jacob try to understand what Edward was going through when he felt like killing him.

I'm just rereading (again) Jacob's book. I love that he has such a strong, sarcastic voice! He adds a totally different perspective on things than Bella (obvs). I really feel like I get to know Jacob better every time I read from his perspective. And, it provides SUCH a contrast to Bella. Bella is always thinking about everyone else and Jacob is really quite self-absorbed. Even when he realizes why Leah joins his pack he still, deep down, would rather be alone.

I, too, love the part where he sees Edward's pain and can acknowledge that there's no way he could ever understand, or feel, that much pain. I think that's the beginning of him understanding (sort of) E's love for B.

And like you said, Brittany, he really has the BEST chapter titles. Much different than Bella's one-word wonders.

^^Yeah especially compared to Bella's chapters! I never really thought of that. Jacob's voice is so present in his titles, while Bella's are all kinda dramatic (killer, monster, etc)

i very much enjoyed jacob's book in breaking dawn. i think it was extremely interesting to see how the pack mind worked, and how seth, leah, sam, etc. thought and how close they were. i loved the chapter titles, they were hilarious. :D

Oh, that's a great point about the pack mind! I did like hearing about it. It seemed like the most intense & intimate conversation. I can see how it would be frustrating for the pack, and absolutely fascinating for Edward.

I think jacob's book was the smartest move SM made in all of BD. Bella and Edward both tend towards melodrama, and they would make such a dramatic situation almost impossible for a person such as myself to read. I think Jacob added a touch of down-to-earth-ness that really kept the story grounded and not turning into a weepy harlequin-esque romance.

For the first three books of the series,I wasn't a jacob fan.At all.He really bugged me.So when I realized he had his OWN BOOK in BD and that the book was like HALF of BD,I was not happy. But when I got over it and got into it...I enjoyed it.I really got to know the real Jacob, and found myself being REALLY happy when he stepped up and claimed his role as the true Alpha.I was like "Go Jacob!".Looking back at it now I think it was genius how Steph wrote his book. That part of the story couldn't have been told any other way.And it made me actually like Jacob,so it MUST have been good ;)

I'm still Team Edward, but now with a soft spot for Jake ^_^

I liked his part in BD, still dislike Jacob soooo much though. He's too immature :D

^^ I agree that including Jacob's POV was a smart move on the part of SM. Jadey fully admits hatred of Jake... but also admits to liking his book. I wonder what made you like the book? The events? Hearing them from a different POV? Not trying to be antagonistic... genuinely curious!!
