I really like the playlists, even if occasionaly I don't get them...
What I find amazing though, is that Stephanie actually haz a fairly good taste in music. Considering she's a 30-some Mormon housewife, there is quite a bit of semi-popular stuff on there, so she's obviously up to date. MY family is all musically oriented, I pay attention to the new alternative bands I hear, and my tastes are similar to hers, which I appreciate.
Of all the songs on the playlists, I like The Sharpest Lives- My Chemical Romance the best. Yeah, I'm an MCR fan, and I was thrilled to find them on there. And its funny that she has the the edited version of I'm Not Okay. She sticks up for her standards! Woo!

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas which songs went with what sections from the book(s)'. Like what chapters or parts of the book each song goes to. I don't know if there is a certain order they go in, but it seems like there should be, but i cant figure it out. Anyone have any ideas...?
thanks

I really love the fact that SM was so inspired by music that she made playlists for her books. While I was reading Twilight for the first time, I wasn't aware that she had any playlists on her site. I made up my own lol while reading it and found a ton of songs on the radio that fit the first book. I looked up her site when I was reading New Moon and was really pumped when I found her playlists. I downloaded all of them on my ipod immediately. As for SM's playlist---Eclipse is def. my favorite and I like NM too. Twilight is my least, I still listen to the one I made while I was reading it for the first time last fall :-)

I really - REALLY wished I liked the music. I listen to the playlists and I just can not get into them. It frustrates me because I want to love all things Twilight!

I really can't believe Evanescence-Bring Me To Life isn't the main song!! Every word of it rings true! And the tune is sooo haunting, pull it up on iTunes while you read the lyrics.

How can you see into my eyes like open doors
Leading you down into my core
Where I’ve become so numb
Without a soul my spirit sleeping somewhere cold
Until you find it there and lead it back home

(Wake me up)
Wake me up inside
(I can’t wake up)
Wake me up inside
(Save me)
Call my name and save me from the dark
(Wake me up)
Bid my blood to run
(I can’t wake up)
Before I come undone
(Save me)
Save me from the nothing I’ve become

Now that I know what I’m without
You can't just leave me
Breathe into me and make me real
Bring me to life

(Chorus)

Bring me to life
(I’ve been living a lie, there’s nothing inside)
Bring me to life

Frozen inside without your touch without your love darling
Only you are the life among the dead

(All of this time I can't believe I couldn't see
Kept in the dark but you were there in front of me)
I’ve been sleeping a thousand years it seems
Got to open my eyes to everything
(Without a thought without a voice without a soul
Don't let me die here
There must be something more)
Bring me to life

(Chorus)

Bring me to life
(I’ve been living a lie, there’s nothing inside)
Bring me to life

Am I the only one who sees this?????

I love Monsters by Matchbook Romance. It's part of the Midnight Sun playlist. I'm listening to it right now :D *head bobbing*

I think this song fits both Bella and Edward in various places.
Ain't Nobody By Chaka Khan

[Edward]Captured effortlessly
That's the way it was
Happened so naturally
I did not know it was love
The next thing I felt was
You holding me close
What was I gonna do?
I let myself go

[Bella]And now we're flyin' through the stars
I hope this night will last forever

[Edward]I've been waitin' for you
It's been so long
I knew just what I would do
When I heard your song
You filled my heart with a kiss
Ya gave me freedom
You knew I could not resist
I needed someone

[Bella]And now we're flyin' through the stars
I hope this night will last forever
Oh oh oh oh

[CHORUS:]
[Both]Ain't nobody
Loves me better
Makes me happy
Makes me feel this way
Ain't nobody
Loves me better than you

[Bella]I wait for night time to come
To bring you to me
[Edward]I can't believe I'm the one
I was so lonely
I feel like no one could feel
I must be dreamin'
[Bella]I want this dream to be real
I need this feelin'

[Bella]I make my wish upon a star
And hope this night will last forever

[CHORUS]

[Bella]At first you put your arms around me
Then you put your charms around me
[Edward]I can't resist this sweet surrender
On a night so warm and tender
[Both]We stare into each other's eyes
And what we see is no surprise
Got a feeling most with treasure
And a love so deep we cannot measure

[CHORUS]

But that's just my take.

I KNOW! I really didn't expect her to have that kind of taste in music. She is really Muse-obessed, though.

I just have to say that because of Stephanie and her awesome playlists I have now fallen for Muse. They are such an awesome band and I wouldn't have even considered listening to them if not for SM and her playlists.

Staphanie rocks with the playlists. Even if you don't like ALL of the songs on the playlist, it is still amazing that she puts these playlists up for fans to experience the book like she does, with the music and everything. If you don't like a certain song change it out for something you do like.

I liked most of the songs on the lists. The ones I didn;t really like at first really started to grow on me. So I like about 90-95% of the playlists.

Come on now what author creates a playlist to go along with their books? I haven't seen any. She totally out does JKR with her website and all the extras and out takes she puts on her site along with the music.

Stephanie is just amazing!

Do you guys happen to know, or know where to find, a guide to where the songs fit into the books? It's been a lot of effort but I've got Twilight, New Moon and Bella's books of BD down pat (feel free to message me for what I have if you want to know!) but I'm really lost when it comes to Eclipse and Jacob's book in BD. I'd love any help offered!

Is there a way to suggest songs to Stephenie to add to her playlist? I really want A Fine Frenzy - Near to You, and Almost Lover, to be added to her New Moon playlist.
