^ haha!
I've pretty much got it memorized, too. In fact, the other day I was reciting it in the shower. Haha. I'm not even really sure what the poem means (I'm not too good with poetry :? ), but I like it and think that it suits the book and the love triangle situation well.

I think that poen basically covered everything Bella was feeling. Fire being Jacob and Ice being Edward. She would rather have Jacob kill her once and Edward to do it twice because she would feel that Edward loved her more than Jacob did. In some cases this would be true but it is also an illusion of her mind. It really put the image in my mind that Bella cared more about Edward and thought that Edward cared the most about her.

The poem rocks and it fits in perfectly.

Really all of frost peotry is pretty amazing, read the "Ghost House" and tell me you do not feel it. He was a painter with words and Stephanie could not have picked a better forward. If you are looking for a deeper analysis, consider that one must love something before you can hate it. Hatred is the antithesis of love and it is cold. Desire is hot, all desires not just the loving kind. Rage is a desire to do harm and it is firey, hate is the complete absence of love and it is cold. Just some things to think about.

perfect poem. Edward (ice), and Jacob (fire). It just fits really well.

I guess that the world ends with ice. Against all the odds, Edward and Bella got there happily-ever-after.

I could cry, I'm so happy.

It's at the beginning of Eclipse. Anyways, here it is.

FIRE AND ICE
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Ta-da. Well, there you go :)
