Hi Hannah I don't think it is like VD at all. I think a lot of vampire stories are similar as far as having a love story in them. Most of them have a story where the vampire finds a soulmate. But I have to disagree with the people who feel it is a knockoff of VD. I can see if some people say because of the love triangle but that is probably the only thing in common beside the obvious that is about vampire and humans but that is where it ends.

I also think that they are nothing alike really, I mean I can see the basic ideas being the same- but its not really is it? Nothing that SM writes is in anyway really similar to LJS and I love both authors books, specially Night World, VD , not so much. (Sorry LJS but Twilight comes above everything.)

I heard that Nightworld is better than Vd. I felt that the creatures in VD was more fantasy,whimsical,sci-fi. In a way I felt the vampire storyline is kinda lost. Don't get me wrong I will still read it. But SM vampires are completely different from any other vampires that have been written at least from the stories and movies that I have read or seen. Isn't that why so many people had a fit because SM took that risk and didn't something that wasn't so cliche with vampires.

So to bring this thread back to topic. My question would be SM besides the Host trilogy and Twilight Saga do you have something else entire different that you are working on? One more question is the Twilight Guide coming out in December?

As a huge gigantic "Worship the ground they walk on" Muse fan, I would love to ask her what exactly inspired Twilight. I know a few things like the songs on her playlist and the fact that Edward plays the piano because Matt Bellamy plays the piano. But really I'm surprised that no vampires were named Chris, Matt, or Dom. I think Muse went into Twilight alot more than just the songs on her playlist. For example, Muscle Museum is not on her playlist but the line "You will wait until it's over to reveal what you never showed her" just screams Edward in Eclipse. I would also love to ask her that at the end of the day (And if somebody said this, I apologize) but at the end of the day, do you have any regrets? About anything. Not necessarily about the series or the writing but just everything in general. Is there ANYTHING at all she dislikes?

Oh and I would like to tell her thank you for saving my life because that's my dying wish. If I die without telling her how she kept me alive with her writing, I would feel cheated in life. I really would.

I would want to ask her about her writing process. How does she weave such intricate patterns of detail and continuity?

That's a good question, I mean, which songs were she listening to during the writing of what chapters exactly? That would be a good one.
