Seth is super awesome because is sort of the guy version of bella, bringing both worlds a little bit closer together, like a mediatior.

How old is Seth? He seemed about 7-10 to me.

According to Wikipedia, he's fifteen in Eclipse.

. . .

Are.
You.
Kidding.
Me?
O.O

Okay, here we go again! Jamie in The Host was so adorable and I just immediately fell in love with him, because he was so cute and charming and sweet and optimistic...
And then I found out he was either 12 or 14! I KNOW 12-year-olds, and they are most certainly not like that. Being part of an anti-alien group stuffed into a cave in the middle of a desert and always on the run for their lives should make him *angrier* and more *sullen* and *angsty*, if anything. It's unbelievable.

Now, Seth is 15 in Eclipse? Is this a joke?
Maybe SMeyer's wishful thinking is getting in the way of her reality— okay, it *really* is, because— (sorry, this is making me kind of angry now!)

15-year-old boys are not sweet and clueless like that. They don't live in a blissful world. Being a werewolf should make him angrier and more sullen and angsty if anything (sound familiar?).
The majority of 14-year-old boys (I remember very clearly) had: (pick all that apply)
A) already had sex
B) were so completely broody, used the f-word in every other sentence
C) carried condoms in their pockets (just in case)
D) did drugs, smoked
E) drove illegally
F) got drunk
G) watched porn
H) All of the Above

NONE of them. NONE were these sweet little raggamuffins, always optimistic, never sullen, putting up with the teasing comments thrown at them.

Remember it is a book and hey 15 can still be kind of innocent. I mean he lives in Forks i am pretty sure Seth was a shelttred child. Not all guys are what you listed. Those are some Stereotypes. But i agree with you a lot of guys are like that.

I say just enjoy Seth no matter what age he is.

Seth is one of the only characters I can stand in the Twilight series. He is cheery, indeed like Jacob in the beginnning of New Moon and Twilight.
Guess what? I have a free mind 8D
