Just a few quick comments about the discussion here. First off, these are copied from the original threads on the old message boards. Many of you have already commented over there with good answers. Most of those answers were probably made back at a time when you hadn't read New Moon or any of the following books. You have two options.

1. You can go and find your old post and copy your answer over here. I will not be copying all the answers for you, but if you want to keep your original answer here on the new boards, feel free to do so.

2. You can give us a new set of answers.

Either way, the choice is yours! Just remember that in most cases you have to answer from your FIRST impression of the story, not something that you have thought about for years.

I give-up! I was going to wait to start the series again until the movie's release date got closer, but I swear, my bookself is in my living room and everytime I go into my living room my copy of Twilight naggs me saying, "Read me, read me, read me!" I have only read the saga once so far. I finished it two weeks ago. I read the entire series in 5 days. I guess I'll have to read it another time if it is too much time until the film is released. I look forward to discussing chapters with you all! I guess I don't practice delayed gratification that well!

Huh. Not sure if this really belongs here, but 'ere it goes anyway!

I was recently (We're talkin' less than an hour) messeged by someone on a text-based game I play. I suppose he saw it fit to discuss the books with me, once he had seen my ad posted for the TwilightMUSH Game. Here's the log:

(For those who don't know, text-based games like this one use a private paging system. when it says 'you page <so and so>' then it means that I paged him back.)

Packard (Pack) pages: WOW! I live about 30 mins away from LaPush RL
You paged Packard with 'ROTFL.'
You paged Packard with 'Nice.'
You paged Packard with 'Have you read the books? Or no..?'
Packard (Pack) pages: Heh ... not only have I read the Twilight series but I knew the people the original story was based off of.
You paged Packard with 'Uh.'
You paged Packard with 'So you knew Stephanie Meyer, or something?'
Packard (Pack) pages: They have been airing stories on the books for Months ... and no ... SM had nothing to do with what REALLY hapened ... just like the stories that inspired the Blair Witch Project had little that resembled the actual movie ... contrary to assertions otherwise there was a 'GOTHIC like' Romance that inspired this original story but it had nothing to do with Vampires
You paged Packard with 'Alrighty, then... :V'
You paged Packard with 'Why does she not mention anything on her site, or on wiki?'
Packard (Pack) pages: Would you? Thom Clancy doesn't cite his sources so he doesn't have to pay them (and to keep them out of trouble)
Packard (Pack) pages: And if you change a story enough it becomes 'original' ... for example: the original story happened in Greys Harbor not Forks ...
Packard (Pack) pages: It's hard to explain if you don't understand tha basic concept ... simply put: art imitates life and life imitates art.
You paged Packard with 'I get it.'
Packard (Pack) pages: SM didn't do anything that EVERY other writer hasn't done too ... there was a book signing recently that I missed ... it had the majority of the cast and I think SM too ...

And then I stopped responding, because I really don't believe him at all.

I was just wondering if anyone has any idea if he's right, or wrong? I know it's a long shot that anyone will, but I figured I'd try and stimulate some conversation.

*** To the administrators, feel free to move this if it doesn't fit in this board. I wasn't sure.***

Thanks I read this last but I answered the question according to my first reaction as possible, before having read New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. It was fun!!!! :)

I found what Pink - Explosion had to say was very interesting, weather you believe him or not is up to you. I think I might do some digging and see what I can drum up. But Consider this, my husband has always that every myth was once a fable and every fable was once a story and every story has a certain element of truth. So how much of the Quileute’s stories SM refers to do have some truth. Go to her site then go to the link to the Quileute website. She talks about the tribes beliefs. This is very interesting. I will keep you posted with what I find if anything.
