She doesnt really think about the out come of her plans, she suggests anything even if it isnt possible just to try to help.

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?
I got all the details the first time. I realized it would be a big detail in the story so i read it over a couple times.

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident?
I thought it was funny but very protecting in this chapter i really realized how much he cared for Bella.

1. Bella is surprised and touched that Charlie put snow chains on her truck because she isn't used to people taking care of her. Later on we know that Renee called Bella hysterical to have her come home yet Renee wasn't in Phoenix. Given all of this what were your impressions of Renee? She's and emotional woman. She acts before she thinks

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later? I got it all, when I read it's like a movie in my head.

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident? He acted like any other father would.

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions? I thought he was amazing. (still do)

5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you? I was actually frustrated with Bella here for getting so mad. If she would have kept her cool he probably would not have stopped talking to her for months

I was just glad my mom was not like that. I did think it was weird that Renee wanted her to go home to an empty house. If you are going to be overprotective, is it not better to be with a parent then all alone?

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?
I don't think I got all of it till I read the book the second time, even with Bella thinks about it later.

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident?
A typical Dad, I can think of no parent that I know that would not act the exact same way.

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions?
He seemed nice, he seemed to care about Edward and his patient, which is good.

5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?
Intrigue, although everything he says seems to do that for me. I wanted to understand why he said what he did and why he was being so cryptic.

1. i thought renne to be a very interesting person. given what we knew about bella and her reasons to come to forks i was very intrigued (sorry i cant spell!) with her character!

2. i missed a lot of details, because i just coulnt read fast enough!! this was and is one of my favorite scences in the book so i was too excited to see the outcome then pay attention to details!

3. just like anyother dad should responde. concerned, helpful, ect. i love charlie! he's such an awesome dad!

4. the fact that he was edwards "dad," ( ) was really interesting to me. but as i read on, i found he was very much his own person. very caring and compassionate.... kinda like esme.... see how things work out???! ;)

5. i was really really mad at him for treating bella like that! i didnt blame them for ignoring each other for a while.

Chapter 3 is my most favorite chapter in Twilight...possibly the whole saga. It sets Edward up as the ultimate protector and shows how much he cared for Bella from the very beginning...after deciding he would not kill her, of course.

1. Bella is surprised and touched that Charlie put snow chains on her truck because she isn't used to people taking care of her. Later on we know that Renee called Bella hysterical to have her come home yet Renee wasn't in Phoenix. Given all of this what were your impressions of Renee?
Renee has a tendancy to overreact. She is a bit of a drama queen.
2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?
I got every detail right the first time. I have always been able to visualize the scenes I am reading very vividly.

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident?
He reacted as any protective father would in that situation. Bella very easily could have been killed.

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions?
I liked him from the start. I had this picture of James Brolin when he starred in Marcus Welby in my head. YES, I know...I am dating myself!
5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?
They made me angry. I wanted him to be honest with Bella and not patronize her.

1. Bella is surprised and touched that Charlie put snow chains on her truck because she isn't used to people taking care of her. Later on we know that Renee called Bella hysterical to have her come home yet Renee wasn't in Phoenix. Given all of this what were your impressions of Renee?

That she never was a typical mom to Bella. I have no doubt that Renee loves and cares for her very much, but she doesn't seem mature enough sometimes to be a mother.

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?

I read it a couple times cos it seemed very important. I thought the accident scene was great, the beginning of Edward and Bella's relationship..

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident?

A very "dad" response. A thought Charlie was right to be mad and scared, cos Bella technically should have been very very hurt. I think he really showed that Charlie cares for Bella a lot.

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions?

That he is gorgeous
Seriously tho, I thought he was very caring, polite, a good doctor!

5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?

Both I think. I didn't understand why he was being so horrible to her. I felt really sorry for Bella, it must have been horribel to think that he had regretted saving her. I understand why Edward was the way he was to her, but at the time I just wanted to shout at him and tell him to give her a hug! lol

1. Bella is surprised and touched that Charlie put snow chains on her truck because she isn't used to people taking care of her. Later on we know that Renee called Bella hysterical to have her come home yet Renee wasn't in Phoenix. Given all of this what were your impressions of Renee?

It makes no sense. Renee clearly worries about Bella a lot, yet she never takes care of her? It dosn`t add up.

2. The accident is the first great action scene in the book. Did you get all the details right in your head the first time, or did you realize you missed finer points when Bella thinks about the accident later?

Yes, The accident was all I needed to figure out what he was. Pale, eye`s changing color, extremely graceful, strong and fast? (and may or may not drink blood) he was obviously a vampire, I was so frustrated Bella didn`t see that.

3. What did you think about Charlie's response to the accident?

Again, you gotta love Charlie. So protective and kind, he`s like an im-perfect version of Edward!

4. This is the first time we meet Carlisle. What were your first impressions?

I could tell that he and Edward were totally different, he seemed so calm and in control, not tense and keyed up like Edward, I was very confused when he didn`t seemed to be bothered by Bella like Edward did. Still so much to learn...

5. Did Edward's cool and even sarcastic comments regarding the accident intrigue you or frighten you?

Both, but more on the frighting side. He seemed to almost be threatening Bella that if she told anyone, he was going to hurt her or something...Eek!
