Billy appears to be upset and saddened with Bella's actions regarding her time with Edward. Jacob doesn't seem to care really and just likes Bella.

Independent, uncoordinated, controlling, open, very understanding...

Learn the basics about her first, like her interests, then move on to her history and life.

To remind her that he won't be around to save her if something were to happen to her. Cute but concerned.

Billy cares about her because she is Charlie's daughter. Therefore he feels like he owes it to Charlie to watch out for her. Jacob has a big crush on Bella.

They both prefer their own company. They are both quite awkward people who don't really know how to express emotion.

So she would feel more comfortable with answering them because she had answered lots of questions the day before.

He loves her and worries about her welfare but at the same time he doesn't want to freak her out by being to expressive.

Billy probably just wants to protect Bella for Charlie's sake since he doesn't know her as a teenager yet. Jacob has a crush on her...but he doesn't think he stands a chance being two years younger.

I think the fact that they're quiet people who are independent is definitely the biggest similarity.

I think because they are more personal. You don't start of a questioning with hey...who did you date before?

Like he said, it's a full time job for him to be saving her life. He's away and he doesn't want to be nervous for her safety. Reassurance.

Billy is worried about her, and slipping out of Charlie's-best-friend and into Tribal Elder. He sees Bella with one of his mortal enemies, and is torn between breaking the treaty and possibly saving her from a dangerous situation, and saying nothing, keeping the Cullen's secrets and staying on Charlie's good side. Jacob has a crush on Bella, simply put.

The ways that they're perfectly content with being alone; they're both uncertain and awkward when it comes to expressing their emotions; they both think a lot and worry about people they love; they both tend to look after and be protective of the people they love.

Because they're more personal questions, so he'd save them for when she was used to being interrogated. Also, to see that they match with the impressions he's already got of her through the answers to her questions yesterday. They're more in depth topics, and possibly he wanted a basic knowledge of her before he found out deeper things, so he could feel like he was getting to know her properly instead of diving into the deep end and risking missing out on details. Plus, Bella probably would have been a little freaked if he'd burst out with 101 Personal Questions straight away, whereas preparing her with more trivial ones first prevented that.

4. Why do yo think Edward wrote the words "Be Safe".Because he's well aware that Bella is a danger magnet. He wants to remind her to keep herself safe. He also wanted to leave her with something, a message from him, because he knows that it makes her feel anxious to be away from him; and he wanted to leave her with something so that she'd have something from him to keep with her when he wasn't there, even if it was just a small message on a piece of paper.

Billy is concerned for Bella. She is the daughter of his best friend, and he does not like that she is hanging out with a Cullen. Jacob has a crush on her..

They are both the silent type..Feel no need to fill the silence unless they have something to say.
They are independent. They are physically similiar. They have some difficulty expressing emotions.

Of course these are questions that are much more personal than just asking favorite book or color, so it is only natural to wait with that until Bella has warmed up to him. He want her to feel comfortable answering his questions

Because that is all he wants for her. He is so concerned about keeping her safe. And he knows that he wont be there to help her out if something where to happen. And it is something to let her know that he cares and is thinking about her. I also think that he did not mean it just for the one night, he wants her to always keep safe.

Billy was suspicious and worried, also very stubborn about how Bella shouldn't be around the Cullens, he's concerned for her. Jake has a crush on Bella, and he's probably kind of sad that she's with Edward..

They are both quiet and don't connect well with other people, they don't talk much and are awkward around each other.

He was getting more personal, instead of just saying things any friend could ask you, he really wants to know everything about her, and he wants her to be comfortable telling him about everything.

He's very worried about her not being hurt, she seems to get into a lot of bad situations to him, he wants her always to be careful.

I think Billy's not sure how he feels about Bella yet, he's worried about her spending time with Edward but he doesn't yet know if it's because she's reckless or doesn't know what he is. Jacob is still developing his feelings for Bella, but he has a crush on her. He seems willing to settle for friendship at this point, though.

The are both pretty introverted & quiet. Both feel things intensely but have a very had time expressing them out loud.

He wanted to get to know her as an individual before he asked her about the people in her life... or maybe he was just warming up on the first day, seeing how she reacted to his questioning before he asked the hard questions.

At this point in the book, Edward is convinced of two things about Bella. First, that she is clumsy and second that she has a strange concept of what to fear. So, he wants her to be safe from herself, and doesn't want her to take unnecessary risks.
