1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me." What do you think she means by that?
I think it means that she never would expect Edward to be in hell. He's going straight to Heaven ;)

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates "the odds" what do you think he is thinking about then?
I think Edward was thinking that if Alice said Bella killed herself, the chance of Charlie being at her funeral was pretty darn good. What I'd like to know is why Jacob answered the phone at someone elses house. I would think it was weird if one of my friends answered my phone.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullens would actually have a chance against them on their own?
I think, yes.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?
I think Bella felt that Edward would always so "no" to her becoming a vampire, but the Cullen family could convince him otherwise because Edward trusts his family. Even if he refused Bella, his family would support her.

This is absolutely my favorite chapter in this one novel.

1. She is saying to Edward that obviously she isn't in hell because if she was, Edward wouldn't belong with her there. Why? She loves Edward and defines him as perfect in every single way. I don't disagree much... :D

2. I believe he does say this because he states afterwards "The odds are always stacked against us. Mistake after mistake. I'll never criticize Romeo again." A.K.A. they always get odds end, which makes a well written novel.

3. It's possible, but I would've thought that some Cullens would die... Oh! So unbearible!

4. Edward obviously was going to be tough about this, but maybe with a little push from his family he would think otherwise... and Bella knew that was one possibility.

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me." What do you think she means by that?

Becuase there would be no heaven without Edward. Hell would be eternity without Edward.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates "the odds" what do you think he is thinking about then?

What are the odds that there is a funeral that is not Bella's that charlie would be going to. Also, maybe he is thinking Jacob was being vauge on purpose.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullens would actually have a chance against them on their own?

Sadly, no.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?

Edward knows why she wants to go, but I don't think he thought his family would side against him. Bella on the other hand has a pretty good idea that most of his family doesn't think like Edward, so she knows he will be out-voted. She just hopes this will persuede him to do it already!

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me." What do you think she means by that?
I think that Bella believes that Edward is only going to heaven and if she died thats where they would be together.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates "the odds" what do you think he is thinking about then?
I think that hes wieghing up everytihng that has and could happen. They have alot stacked against them from the very beginning.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullens would actually have a chance against them on their own?
Not a hope in the world. He is being a bit cocky I think and not really taking in what can happen.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?
I think she fully understood that it wasnt just her anymore that was being affected by her and Edwards relationship. She came to nderstand that it now involved many more people.I think that he was truly irritated that she would want to do this but still letting her go to humour her was better thenletting her do somethin rash later like he knows she would do.

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me." What do you think she means by that?
she means that it wouldn't be heaven to her if edward wasn't there. she loves him, she believes he would go to heaven if it exists.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates "the odds" what do you think he is thinking about then?
i think he's thinking about how odd the timing was for everything to happen all at once. he was told bella was killing herself so hearing that charlie's at a funeral makes it solid in his mind that bella is dead.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullens would actually have a chance against them on their own?
hell no. sorry but not before bella turned into a vampire. there's too many of them with too many powers that could kill them all very fast.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?
obviously edward was probably very upset and frustrated with her but it was what she thought she had to do. she didn't want to put the cullens at risk by staying human when alice had promised them something different and she knows that it is what is best.

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me." What do you think she means by that?
That he was just too good and pure and beautiful to be in hell.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates "the odds" what do you think he is thinking about then?
That only bella would have such luck that there was a funeral going on that same day he decides to call.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullens would actually have a chance against them on their own?
Nope, not a chance.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?
She probably knew how the vote would go. Mmm, wat

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me." What do you think she means by that?

Bella is extremely headstrong. She believes the anywhere Edward is that's heaven. Otherwise, it's just her own little personal hell.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates "the odds" what do you think he is thinking about then?

??? i don't get it.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullens would actually have a chance against them on their own?

On their own, they might be able to hold them off to get some help. Emmett I think would be able to manage at least three of the Volturi. I'm sorry but I must admit that the Cullens wouldn't stand a chance.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?

I think that Bella has it stuck in her head that she is the cause of the Cullens problems. She wants to end their "misery" and be able to help them. I think Edward is debating whether to chain her in her bed at home or just take Bella to his house and stop everyone from voting on Bella's immortality.

MMmmmm, this is one of my favorite chapters in the saga!!!!!

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me." What do you think she means by that? Hm, the first time I read it, I had no clue. After several reads, now I understand it. Bella has stated that the only kind of Heaven there is for her is the place where Edward is.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates "the odds" what do you think he is thinking about then? Probably that no matter what Edward tries to do to protect Bella, there will always be some sort of danger in store for her.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullens would actually have a chance against them on their own? I didn't really know about that at the time I read it. Obviously, SM thinks that they wouldn't stand a chance, hence no battle scene at the end of the series.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house? The Volturi would come for her and the Cullens. She loves them as her own family, and doesn't want them to get hurt. She couldn't let the whole family risk their safety just for her lone self. As to what Edward was thinking, who knows? I think he knew why she was going, he just wanted to hear her say it to confirm it.

1. I think what Bella means, if she died and really went to hell, Edward couldn't be there with her. Because Edward had died before, and has no soul. Unlike Bella.

2. Edward must have probably thought it was Bella's funeral, probably died because of depression.

3.Why not? They have many connections, and Edward's mind reading helps it all.

4.She doesn't want the Cullens to be haunted by the Volturi and decides to join them.

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me." What do you think she means by that?
That she loves Edward so much that anywhere that she could be with him, would be heaven, just like he thought when Bella ran into him in Volterrra.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates "the odds" what do you think he is thinking about then?
I think he was just thinking about things always seem to be bad one way or another. Like he thought that leaving Bella was the only way to make her safe, but he realizes that its not, he also realizes that its not safe to be with her. I think just like he says, that he is starting to see that no matter what decisions he and she make, seperate and apart, the consequences/ramifications will be heavy.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullens would actually have a chance against them on their own?
Sometimes I think the Cullens are a little more intellectually sharp and they might win a battle of wits. But the Volturi are suppsed to be very intelligent as well. I think that because of sheer numbers, fighting the Volturi or running from them would not be a good idea.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?
I think Edward is upset, he is still grappling for any way that Bella doesn't have to become a vampire. He is still very concerned about her soul, or taking her life away. On the other hand I think Bella is grappling for any way to be able to come a vampire. I think she chooses the vote to get some objective views on the situation. She doesn't feel that Edward's urging her not to become a vampire are level headed because of his concern and uncanny feeling that he needs to take care of her. I think she is just looking for someone to agree with her that might be able to put things in a different perspective than Edward.
