1) Not really, his father was a clergy man, so he grew up with it for the first 23 years of his human life. So it had to rub off of him at one time or another. Plus Carlisle just seems that he would be that way.

2) I really liked it. It gave some more ingight to Edward. It was one of those thing I think everybody thought of. I was wondering how Carlisle chose Edward. It was also nice to know some of Edward's human aspects. THe green eyes and looking like his mother. I really do wonder what Elabeth really thought during her request to Edward.

3) Bella compared it to being like when Edward had to leave in Twilight, so I thought what is Edward going to do now, that Jasper took a snap at Bella. Then as the days progressed.... I could tell something bad was coming. Edward was so distant, he didn't' even stay in her room but I guess that was for the best.

3) I worried that Edward might leave Bella. I didn't think too much of it at first, hoping that it wouldn't happen, but I guess I'm happy with the way things turned out.

I really like the last 3 pages of this chapter - Edward and Bella in her bedroom.

1. No, he does strike me as a very calm and spiritual person, even in bad situations, he seems to keep everyone together.

2. I liked learning more about Edward's past, and family.

3. Nope. I try to not predict things coming in a book, then it may come as a surprise. But I did have an idea something dramatic would come.

3. I had absolutely no idea that Edward would leave at that point. The whole thing was one of the biggest shocks in the book to me. I admit that the kiss wass a little unnerving, but I didn't think it would have any major consequences, I figured Edward was just upset but would feel better after a bit.

No. It seemed to go with his personality, in my mind anyway.

2. What did you think about the information revealed about Edward's mother?
I definitely thought it was interesting. I wondered if she had really determined Carlisle was a vampire.

UGH. As soon as I read it, I was paranoid that something terrible was about to happen!!

I really was not suprised because he seemed very spiritual in the beginning of the book also.

What did you think about the information revealed about Edward's mother ?

I think it was not so suprising that she would figure out what Carlisle is and that I am willing to bet that any mother would be willing to do whatever it would take to save her son or daughter. Even if it was to become a vampire.

When the kiss happened, did you have any ideas about what was to come ?

I did not and I never thought Edward would leave her but if he had to it would have been for the same reason he told Bella when he was explaining things to her when he came back with her.

Not really. After everything Edward revealed, it makes sense.

2. What did you think about the information revealed about Edward's mother?
It was nice to hear details about how he looked like his mother, it brought more human qualities to Edward. It was interesting, the exchange between Carlisle and Edward's mother, just because it does make you wonder if she really knew...

3. When the kiss happened, did you have any ideas about what was to come?
I did wonder. It was almost like a good-bye kiss...but then I could tell that Edward was planning something because of the way he was acting after the incident.

I loved it. It gave more depth to Edward and Carslile. I love knowing that Edward had green eyes.

NO! no no and no!!!! And if for some strange reason... someone is reading this and has not read the next chapter. Stop reading. Now. All I have to say is that I think it is the STUPIDEST reason to leave. I am not answering Q&A for ch.3 because I am still in the middle of it.... but it just makes me mad all over again. I want to smack Edward with a baseball bat so he will know how it feels!
