1. Why is Edward now willing to change Bella into a vampire (provided she marries him) after being dead set against it for so long?
Because, i think he thinks that if she marries him that would prove that she really does love so therefore wouldn't regret the change later. *shrugs*

2. Why is it still so important to him that she marry him before he changes her? Is there more to this than a strategy to delay her?
I don't think it has anything to do with delaying her, maybe a little bit, but maybe he just really wants to marry her.

3. Why is Bella so panicked at the thought of marrying Edward? Is there more to her reaction than she is saying? Does she actually understand her own reasons completely?
That's the way she was raised, to cringe at the thought of marriage especially at such a young age.

4. After the epiphanies of NM, how could Edward still imagine being immortal was more important to Bella than her love for him?
Because edward who could never read bella's mind couldn't see how deep her love for him truly was.

5. Edward says that changing Bella is the most selfish thing he will ever do. Why is he nevertheless prepared to do it? Is this morally weak of him?
We're all entitled to one selfish deed aren't we.

1. Why is Edward now willing to change Bella into a vampire (provided she marries him) after being dead set against it for so long?
Because he sees that it is going to happen anyway.

2. Why is it still so important to him that she marry him before he changes her? Is there more to this than a strategy to delay her?
I think he just wants to prove his love to her.

3. Why is Bella so panicked at the thought of marrying Edward? Is there more to her reaction than she is saying? Does she actually understand her own reasons completely?
I don't think she really knows her own reasons other than her mother "drilled" it into her to not get married young. I think that she thinks that it will end up in divorce because of her parents.

4. After the epiphanies of NM, how could Edward still imagine being immortal was more important to Bella than her love for him?
It's that fear that he doesn't have her trust completely because of leaving her.

5. Edward says that changing Bella is the most selfish thing he will ever do. Why is he nevertheless prepared to do it? Is this morally weak of him?
No. It is what she wants and he knows that if he doesn't do it, she has options. He would want to do it because it is the last thing he can do for her before she changes completely. He loves her that much.

1. Why is Edward now willing to change Bella into a vampire (provided she marries him) after being dead set against it for so long?
Well, he does want her to be a vampire, he just doesn't want to take away her soul. And I think he's tired of having this argument with her, so he's just giving in. Plus, he really really wants to marry her, too.

2. Why is it still so important to him that she marry him before he changes her? Is there more to this than a strategy to delay her?
Well, he wants her to have all her human experiences. And one last bash with all her human acquaintances before she can't see them anymore.

3. Why is Bella so panicked at the thought of marrying Edward? Is there more to her reaction than she is saying? Does she actually understand her own reasons completely?
She's probably worried that their relationship could end up badly like her parents. And she's worried about Renee's and everyone else's reactions.

4. After the epiphanies of NM, how could Edward still imagine being immortal was more important to Bella than her love for him?
Well, he can't help but have some doubts. And Bella didn't exactly clarify too often on why she wanted to be a vampire, mostly she just whined that she wanted to be changed. Its an understandable thought.

5. Edward says that changing Bella is the most selfish thing he will ever do. Why is he nevertheless prepared to do it? Is this morally weak of him?
He'll do anything for Bella. He's certainly not morally weak, but when it comes to what Bella wants, he is weak. Being with the person you truly love is never a selfish act, at least to me anyways.

1. Why is Edward now willing to change Bella into a vampire (provided she marries him) after being dead set against it for so long?
He knows he cannot win this battle, either he does it or Carlisle will.
2. Why is it still so important to him that she marry him before he changes her? Is there more to this than a strategy to delay her?
I think he is trying to delay her somewhat, but I think he wants her to have this human expereince before she becomes a vampire. All through out the series, he claims Bella makes him feel more human, so her having this human experience will make him feel the wedding as a human through her.
3. Why is Bella so panicked at the thought of marrying Edward? Is there more to her reaction than she is saying? Does she actually understand her own reasons completely?
I really think it is what everyone thinks like her mom, Charlie, her friends. She grew up taught that marriage is not that great and should be avoided unless she is like thirty. I also, think Jacob has a lit of factor in this too; she doesn't want to have to give him up just yet. Lastly, I think she isn't ready to be a vampire yet either.
4. After the epiphanies of NM, how could Edward still imagine being immortal was more important to Bella than her love for him
I think it is just a self-conscious reaction. She love him deeply, but I think he still wonders of that love is on;y because she is a vampire. If he wasn't, would she still love him. I honestly think this just shows that Edward does have human emotions and a soul after all.

5. Edward says that changing Bella is the most selfish thing he will ever do. Why is he nevertheless prepared to do it? Is this morally weak of him?
He is prepared to do it because he wants to give Bella whatever she wants and she is agreeing on his terms. I don't think he is being morally weak. He is still trying to keep her virtues and such.

1. Why is Edward now willing to change Bella into a vampire (provided she marries him) after being dead set against it for so long? I think he realized that nothing is going to sway her decision to become immortal... and she's prepared to turn to Carlisle if Edward doesn't do it. I thought that Carlisle should do it; but for the sake of their love story, it's so much more romantic that Bella wants Edward to do it.

2. Why is it still so important to him that she marry him before he changes her? Is there more to this than a strategy to delay her? It makes sense that a vampire retains the customs and thoughts of the year they were Changed, I think. Edward is frozen in 1918, and he's an old-fahioned guy. I think that he wants the experience with her as a human; he knows she'll be different after she's Changed, and that it may take a while for her go back to being "Bella." He probably thinks that she might regret not marrying him while she was human.

3. Why is Bella so panicked at the thought of marrying Edward? Is there more to her reaction than she is saying? Does she actually understand her own reasons completely? I don't think she understands her reactions. Her mother had bad-mouthed and down-played marriage at a young age for so long, that Bella believed it, simply because her mother told her, not that she believed it herself.

4. After the epiphanies of NM, how could Edward still imagine being immortal was more important to Bella than her love for him? I don't know. That's just Edward over-reacting again, I suppose.

5. Edward says that changing Bella is the most selfish thing he will ever do. Why is he nevertheless prepared to do it? Is this morally weak of him? That's just love, I guess. Haven't we all done something selfish for the one we loved?

1. Why is Edward now willing to change Bella into a vampire (provided she marries him) after being dead set against it for so long?

Well he was worrying that he would take her soul away, and that maybe she was just after him for the immortality (Edward *sigh* you stupid git! LMAO) so now that they had the big talk and discussed why each one feels the way they do about changing Bella into a vamp, they can finally come to an agreement. Also Edward knows that she will wait for him to do it, and he knows he might have longer because of her fears of marriage.

2. Why is it still so important to him that she marry him before he changes her? Is there more to this than a strategy to delay her?

He loves her, and he wants to marry her. I think he also wants her to hav ethis human experience and have her mom and dad see her getting happily married. Kind of a last send off since he knows she won't be able to see them after she is turned.

3. Why is Bella so panicked at the thought of marrying Edward? Is there more to her reaction than she is saying? Does she actually understand her own reasons completely?

I think it's a valid reason for her to fear marriage. Look at what happened to her mother. She has been told over and over by Renee that you DO NOT marry young like she did. I think Bella sees this as a way of disappointing her parents. They don't understand her and Edwards relationship and cant truely understand their devotion to one another.

4. After the epiphanies of NM, how could Edward still imagine being immortal was more important to Bella than her love for him?

He is a stupid git lol  He is full of self loathing and does not like himself. He has no idea why bella would love someone like him. He can't understand her at all when it comes to her love for him. That is why he is so unsure of himself with the whole Jacob thing. He is jealous and afraid that jake might steal Bella from him. He is kind of like Bella, she can't grasp the fact that Edward TRUELY TRUELY loves her. it's the same for him. He is a monster, why would she want him.

5. Edward says that changing Bella is the most selfish thing he will ever do. Why is he nevertheless prepared to do it? Is this morally weak of him?

I think he is starting to just barely understand how devoted Bella is to him. He can see that she truely wants to be changed to spend the rest of eternity with him. He also knows that it will make her happy.

1. Why is Edward now willing to change Bella into a vampire (provided she marries him) after being dead set against it for so long?
We know that there is going to be so much change coming. He knows that the Volturi will eventually come and see if Bella is a vampire, of if the Cullens have changed her into a vampire. Maybe he just understands now that its the only way it can go. There is no other option.

2. Why is it still so important to him that she marry him before he changes her? Is there more to this than a strategy to delay her?
I think its just something he really wants. He didnt get to marry anyone in his human life. He wants her to live through some human experiances. And getting married is a big one.

3. Why is Bella so panicked at the thought of marrying Edward? Is there more to her reaction than she is saying? Does she actually understand her own reasons completely?
She just thinks that she is too young to be getting married. Getting married at a young age was never on her list of things to do.

4. After the epiphanies of NM, how could Edward still imagine being immortal was more important to Bella than her love for him?
For Edward loving someone is totally knew. He doesn't quite know how to handle it you know? Plus there are some issues with Jacob that come up. Bella loves spending time with Jacob, and Edward I think see's that as something more/

5. Edward says that changing Bella is the most selfish thing he will ever do. Why is he nevertheless prepared to do it? Is this morally weak of him?
Because its something that she wants. She wants to be with him forever. To never have to watch the person you love stay the same, while you change everyday. I dont think its really morally weak of him.

1. Why is Edward now willing to change Bella into a vampire (provided she marries him) after being dead set against it for so long?
It's the only option left that makes sense for both of them. The last thing they can live with.

2. Why is it still so important to him that she marry him before he changes her? Is there more to this than a strategy to delay her?
He wants her to be bound to him in the most human way possible before he takes her humanity, and I think it makes perfect sense. It's the only way he can get a decent shred of what he's always wanted for her.

3. Why is Bella so panicked at the thought of marrying Edward? Is there more to her reaction than she is saying? Does she actually understand her own reasons completely?
I think there's more underlying in her reasoning... things she may not even realize yet. But at the time, her original reasoning seemed to make enough sense.

4. After the epiphanies of NM, how could Edward still imagine being immortal was more important to Bella than her love for him?
I know, it's crazy! I never thought that Edward could ever be so... human. That feeling of being so unsure is so very human.... it's unreasonable, of course, but it's only human. It amazed me. I laughed along with Bella.

5. Edward says that changing Bella is the most selfish thing he will ever do. Why is he nevertheless prepared to do it? Is this morally weak of him?
No, I don't think so. He always wanted to give Bella what she wanted... I think he always knew he was going to change her, no matter how much he insisted that he wasn't.

1. Why is Edward now willing to change Bella into a vampire (provided she marries him) after being dead set against it for so long?
I have no idea.

2. Why is it still so important to him that she marry him before he changes her? Is there more to this than a strategy to delay her?
No, it's the value system he was raised in and died during the middle of. He said they rarely ever change, and when they do, it's permanent.

3. Why is Bella so panicked at the thought of marrying Edward? Is there more to her reaction than she is saying? Does she actually understand her own reasons completely?
Like she said, she's not the small town hick type.

4. After the epiphanies of NM, how could Edward still imagine being immortal was more important to Bella than her love for him?
I still doubt my best friend's feelings for me, I always wonder if I'm bothering him or whatever.

5. Edward says that changing Bella is the most selfish thing he will ever do. Why is he nevertheless prepared to do it? Is this morally weak of him?
I don't know why he's preparing to do it, but I love him for it. It's the best choice he'll ever make.

1.) Why is Edward now willing to change Bella into a vampire (provided she marries him) after being dead set against it for so long?

He isn't gung ho about it, but he will relctantly do it for Bella. He knows that Bella will not take no for an answer and he knows that Bella really wants him to be the one to turn her. So he is using this to his advantage.

2. Why is it still so important to him that she marry him before he changes her? Is there more to this than a strategy to delay her?

Delaying the marryage is one stragtedy. If she knows that he will change her if she marrys him, that will give him time to have her learn more about the history of vampires (through Jasper). Also marriage is a metaphor of ending one chapter of your life and beginning a new one. It seems appropiate.

3. Why is Bella so panicked at the thought of marrying Edward? Is there more to her reaction than she is saying? Does she actually understand her own reasons completely?

She never told Edward that she is bitter about the straight out of high school marriage because thats what her parents did, and then ended in a nasty divorce. As of now, they aren't even on good terms. She doesn't want her relationship to Edward to end this way.

4. After the epiphanies of NM, how could Edward still imagine being immortal was more important to Bella than her love for him?
He's insecure about himself and I don't think that he really see what Bella sees in him. Plus, he doesn't know if Bella's feelings for Jacob are strongly then her feelings for him.

5. Edward says that changing Bella is the most selfish thing he will ever do. Why is he nevertheless prepared to do it? Is this morally weak of him?

I think that he feels like if he does it, than Bella will feel like her transfrmation is more of a choice than a regret. I knows that being a vampire is not something that you can go back on, so if he convinces her that he will change her knowing that He is her first choice, then he can allow her to exoerience as much human life as possible. Plus she will be more happy with her change. No it's not morally weak.... this is what Bella wants
