Okay so one thing I noticed was that Edward went away like he did in the book, but then there was zip that explained why it was he was gone, and where he went. I wonder if the Denalis are even going to be in the other movies.

To be fair, we only know where he went and what happened specifically from reading what's posted of Midnight Sun.

In Twilight, he tells Bella about going to Alaska and spending time with acquaintances there, but doesn't tell her specifically who they were. If I remember correctly, the first time they're mentioned in Bella's point of view is when the Cullens tell Laurent of their existence, before they leave the house to take Bella away.

The Denalis are kind of just "there" up until Breaking Dawn, when they make an appearance at the wedding (and later, to bear witness for the Cullens). Movie-wise, they can just show up in BD, with a mention of them in Eclipse (when Carlisle calls them to ask for help dealing with the newborns).

No, I mean they didn't even say where he went at all or why he went there. I didn't like that it didn't explain Edward had to leave because of Bella's blood.
And while the Denalis don't make an appearance until BD, their presence is important. They were mentioned in Twilight when Laurent went up to see them, and then again in NM Laurent mentions them. And Eclipse they wouldn't come down because of the Laurent/wolves thing. I just think that they might be kinda random if they all of the sudden pop up in BD.

Aren't vampires supposed to be pale?????
even if his acting was good and stuff, that was, in my opinion, the biggest VISUAL flaw of the movie

Vamps are supposed to look like, basically, they're dead, because all of their blood is drained from them like a corpse would. So vamps that are of color still have that shade to them, but with a chalkier image.

debussygirl: No, I understood what you meant about the Denalis. Which is why I think they should make mention of them, but that they won't actually be "in the movie" until BD.

And I understand now what you meant about Edward's reason for leaving. They should've snuck that in there somewhere.

I wanted to mention that there was one inconsistency that I actually did like: In the movie, when Edward and Bella are walking up to Edward's room, they stop at the framed graduation caps. Every time I see that, I chuckle. I thought it was a nice touch, reminding us how "old" the Cullens really are.

So I was watching Twilight again and they never explained about the Cullen's eyes really. Bella mentions that they changed color, but it was never explained that the veggie vamps have gold eyes, traditional vamps have red eyes, and they get black as they get thirsty.
It seems like a lot of half-explanations were told.
