Most of the time actors don't use them, unless directed to by the director and both are comfortable with it. I'm guessing here they don't... maybe in Breaking Dawn though... *shrugs* I mean, they have to hold something back so that that first kiss after Bella is changed is something different and spectacular.

Hmm I thought in one of the MTV.com interviews Catherine Hardwicke was alluding to Kristen and Rob making the kissing scenes really steamy when someone asked her if there was tongue kissing? Something like "the fans won't be disappointed." I'm not sure.
I still can't believe that Rob landed the role by making out with Kristen on C.H.'s bed, um hot much, its not fair! Okay maybe they weren't making out, I think all that was mentioned was that they did a "love scene". They have great chemistry I think.

I think it makes complete sense that they used a more romantic scene as an audition scene... if you don't believe the relationship between Bella and Edward, the movie doesn't work. If they won't die for each other and do anything to be with one another, the rest of the plot is moot.
And from what we've seen of that kiss from the preview... I don't think disappointment is going to be a problem.

In one of the Twilight Tuesdays video interview with Rob and Kristen they asked Kristen what she thought of how Rob kisses and she said he has sharp teeth but she likes it. OK how can she feel his teeth if they didn't use tongue???
Just a fair question. I think Kristen gave away too much on that interview.

Agreed. I think Kristen was just having a little fun with some bad vampire humor. Although I think right after that, Rob said they didn't French kiss, butthey did Chilean kiss. Those crazy kids.

Anyway, I often wonder what actors do when they have a hot kissing scene or even a sex scene.
Man that could get uncomfortable. Especially if one might like the other actor.
