I think... Seeing as when you turn into a vamp you get all frozen and stuff... I think the soul will be stuck in the host... forever?

Haha, that's a good hypothesis! I've never really thought about this. Wouldn't it be hard for vampires like the Cullens and the Denali clan to blend in if they lived in the world of The Host? They would probably have to permanently go into hiding, move from place to place, etc.

I guess the Cullens wouldn't have to hide... I don't think the Souls could hurt the Cullens. The Cullens would woop their asses.

Hmmmm, I would think that as long as the souls knew that vampires were in existence, once a vampire bit it, it would recognize the venom and "dislodge" itself from the host-killing itself and the host. I could be wrong, maybe they would be happy that they wouldn't have to keep recycling hosts. Hmmm. Very curious indeed.

I really enjoy this cross-over thread. In my opinion, there isn't time for the soul to disengage from the host if it was bit. Plus, someone (or it would have to figure out how to do it itsself) would have to do the incision at the back of the neck to allow the soul out. There would also need to be another host ready for the soul to slip into. Unfortunately, if a vampire bit a soul, the host body would change and the soul would be trapped in the vampire forever.

The big question is: would the soul try to control the vampire host and keep it to killing animals or would it be tainted by the bloodlust and kill humans?

I wonder if the souls wouldn't want to be in a vampire (not like the Cullens with their whole "vegitarian" thing) because of the violence...
