I was thinking Mila Kunis. She is best known as Jackie from "That 70's Show". Her character has been called short and annoying by the other characters. Plus she has an olive skin tone. She also has taken on some serious roles which makes me belive she has the acting chops to pull of the serious tone of the seeker. See Max Payne and Book of Eli.

I like the idea of Christina Ricci or Lucy Lui. Or even someone TOTALLY unkown, which would be better.
