He is SO yummy and worth the wait. Where did we learn that he lost his HEA?? Teak - I'm reading now, where is that found?

Hawke is my favorite wolf (MINE). I think he is a favorite of Nalini (or the fans email her a lot) because it seems in the first few books she sets up that his story will be a while. In the first, Sascha notices that it'll take a "brave" woman to take him and that he'll need to loose/forgive some of the violent/anger in him before he can mate. I also remember Faith (who's book I am just starting to reread) makes an observation about him as well. She's giving the hints (as she has given hints about Dorian...so EXCITED for his book, not that I'm counting the days six to go). So far she is concentrating on the leopards, but I'm sure she'll go to the wolves. I would also like to see Brenna's brothers find happiness and what about Walker?

I need to get my books back from my friend so I can re-read them by next week. I odn't remember Hawke losing his love. I don't tend to remember many details until the 2nd read though.

I had some fun looking at tree houses. I found a few good ones, but I think they would be more overgrown in the books.

Lucas' pad?
a party deck for Lucas
Clay's was multi-storied
Another multi-story house

A few more: (This is not a double post, there is a five url max)

Big enough to be Nate & Tamsyn's
I love how isolated this one is
All lit up
This one seem more organic to me
Low rent district

Hawke said he lost the love of his life as a child. She was only about three years old and he was six. I think it was one of the psy that cornered him into the admission.

I'm partial to the leopards. I think Lucas and Vaughn are my favs.

I can't help to envision them as being modern while being a tree house.

Here a some pictures I found but not quite what I see in my head. Maybe I'll just have to design something...

But not this modern....

Nate & Tammy's house - I don't see there's in the trees since she is a healer and Lucas drives Sascha right up to it (no piggy-backing to the house).

ETA: Thanks Nima, I do remember that. However, she was his love, but maybe not his true mate. To have a first love and loose it like that (I believe she did die) would be terrible. Look how Clay was until he found out that Tally was still alive. Since we've had this storyline, I have a feeling that Hawke's love is not going to come back but he'll meet a new love, his true love/mate. I just can't WAIT!

Wow! Nima and Una you may me feel like such a slacker. I can't even complete a stupid calendar for one class, and you guys research tree houses.

I do remember that now about Hawke. Wasn't it Faith who *discovered* it?

I think I would prefer to live in the aeries (or whatever the cat tree homes are called). I like the openess. I think the caves would make me feel claustrophobic. Maybe if they had some paintings and rugs and cushions the caves wouldn't seem so oppressive. That is just me, give me the open space.

Oh, I hope this is what happens; that he finds his HEA. I don't know why I had it in my head that he "imprinted" on her, so could never imprint again. I so want to see Hawke get his HEA!

Like the pictures you all found.

As I understood it, she could have been his mate, but because she died, they never did the mating dance or completed the last steps that are forever binding. This leaves Hawke open for something good IMHO.

I have to agree, I like the open spaces and the views of the airies. I think those caves ar really cool though, and actually better than what I had in my head.
