None of Anne Rice's books are YA. If anything they are borderline erotica (with the exception of her two newest books on Jesus Christ). I first read IWTV when I was 21 or 22 and I was shocked! I wasn't a prude either. That was over a decade ago. Just in case you think you might like them because they are smutty, that isn't the whole deal either. The books deal with adult themes as well. Religion, reproduction, incest, and history are also themes in her vampire chronicles and mayfair tales.

I've been interested in the Vampire Diaries; are they good? What do you like about them?

Hahah, I agree! Stefan is hot! He kinda reminds me of Edward in a way... how he was all trying to avoid Elena in the beginning...

And then there was Damon! Hahah, total bad a**.
I really liked that book(:

Cirque du Freak by Darren Shan, I've only read the first one and it's not really like Twilight, but it's still good.

My 12 yo niece is reading Circue di Freak. She loves it. I read in the Sunday's Parade magazine ( a few weeks ago) that Circue du Freak is being made into a movie. I haven't checked it out yet. What do you like about the series?

I like the dark horror of it and the fact that he was only trying to save his best friend so he became a vampire and when his friend found out, he decided he would be a vampire hunter (i'm a fan of irony).

I have heard about the movie but I can't remeber anyone but John C. Reilly is in it. sorry if i spelled that wrong.
