Re: Scott Westerfeld --The Uglies series
I really loved this series. It was great to read about a distopian future that is so misleading. It was captivating and kept my attention through the whole series... well, until Extras anyway. I didn't like Aya much - I'd rather read about Tally and Shay. There were so many twists and turns and Westerfeld did a phenominal job building, keeping, and then fulfilling the suspense.

Re: Scott Westerfeld --The Uglies series
Oh gosh.
I feel so silly right now.
I had to return the Uglies book back to the library because it's been overdue for more than a month!
And I never even got to read it because I lost it... then I found it a month after.
But I'll read it though!
I'm not sure when, my priorities are all fixed right now, I mean, I'm still trying to get by MS.
(Which I havent started reading yet because I'm waiting on Elaine. She's not ready yet.)
Sooooooo.
This book sounds really interesting though!

Re: Scott Westerfeld --The Uglies series
Ahhh! I loved this series. I actually had the distinct honor of being the proud owner of the first copies our library had, after they'd been discarded. They're..... well loved.
I enjoyed this series through specials, and it's really my favorite series other than the obvious (twilight). I didnt like extras all that much. Aya bothered me a lot...
And is it weird that i actually sort of like the idea of their society, providing that it wasnt all evil like we found out it really was?

I loved Uglies when it first started but I didn't like the direction it went in later on in the series. But all in all, a great series. Probs my third favourite (after Harry Potter and Twilight). I heard they were gonna turned it into a movie but it never happened. What's the deal with that?
