God, i do hate Flo, and I mean HATE her. I never know when in the name of all that's holy I'm going to have my period, but the days before I start feeling all sweet, lightheaded, sad and like I was in love- so not the evil witch I am. I'm telling you, it's weird and the worst of it? I've suffered it since I was 10 and time doesn't hellp getting used to the pains at all. I remember the first time Red River visited me I was in class and this guy my sis had a crush on noticed and started laughing and making barfing sounds, I didn't pay attention 'cause we hated each other but then my teacher called and the Let's Not Bring Our Parentage Into This. didn't warn me so I crossed the entire classroom to see her and she told me to, er, go to the bathroom and when I asked what was wrong the Let's Not Bring Our Parentage Into This. my sister had a major crush yelled she has the r*g!! Yeah, horrible, and I still haven't mentioned my sister and I are identical twins, so I ruined her chances with that dog.

It seems all of us have one of those stories, right?

They also happen to me during the worst possible times. On teh field during a half time show, on a school trip, on teh ride back from a 5 hour road trip. I hate it.

What helps you with the cramps and everything, they've gotten so bad that midol, pamprin, IBprofin, or anything doens't help them any.
have you ever thought of doing the pill insted my sister had those sympotoms but worse and the pill toatlly fixed everything it was awesome haha. i thought she was going to die every month. but i don't know a lot about IUD so i don't even know if you would want to switch or could i hope this was helpful at all sorry if it wasn't. :?
I was on the pill for like 8 months and i would always forget to take it and i DON'T WANT CHILDREN! And everything was almost the exact same except the cramps weren't as bad I got EVERYTHING else.. My Gyno told me that I should probably change my diet because i don't eat like I should, I eat light snacks instead of full meals because I'm always at work and it's just easier to grab a bagel and scarf it down then eating something else.

Gargh men don't understand the half of it honestly. Although it is handy that NONE of them will ever ask if you say its a 'girl thing.' Its like they're scared of anything to do with ovaries and such.

My Flo is very strange...I never know when I'll get it, and sometimes I miss it for months at a time. My record was 3 and a half and I must say I wasn't complaining.

Also, I haven't read the whole thread so I'm sorry if I'm repeating something, but has everyone heard of Endometriosis? Its actually quite common, and I wouldn't be suprised if some of you girls with the excruciatingly painful cycles had it...look it up, it could help. :]

I first got mine the summer before 7th grade. I was on vacation with my aunt, uncle, and 2 - female - cousins. So it wasn;t that bad except that I had to drag my older cousin into the bathroom, haha. oBviously I didn't have anything with me, so I had to use her pads. Eh, not so bad.
Generally, mine lasts about 5 days, give or take. Usually not too heavy, except the first day or two, depending. It differs. THAT IS SO ANNOYING. Which leads me to.....I NEVER KNOW WHEN IT'S COMING!!!!! I've kept track (or tried to) but it never comes every x number of days. That is SO frustrating. I don't get cramps before hand so I don't have that to clue me in. I guess I get some food cravings and get a little more emotional, but I'm always like that, so it's hard to tell the difference. SO ANNOYING. I'm going to try REALLY hard to figure out an exact number of days. Stupid period. FUNCTION CORRECTLY! haha, sorry. I needed to yell at myself.
Cramps suck. Luckily I don't get them that often. When I do, though, I get them horribly for most of the day. Midol helps for the most part.

p.s. tampons are the greatest invention ever. do not fear. seriously.

Haha. You see, I get emotional before my period starts. I get really intense PMS. But I can never identify whether it is stress or PMS that is making me want to burst into tears at the slightest thing. And as far as cramps go, I get those sometimes when I haven't had my period for 2 weeks. So I KNOW my period isn't coming then. And I, like the person above me, have tried to keep track, but to no avail. I wish I was one of those lucky girls who get their period on a very reliable schedule.

I usually get mine around the same time each month and it lasts about 6 days. I get some mild cramps and it's usually only heavy the first two days. I just get pretty bad PMS and I cry all the time. I get really annoyed at my parents for only the slightest thing and then cry about it. I get mood swings. I'm kind of an emotional wreck.
I got mine when I was 12 in 7th grade. I got it the morning before I was supposed to go to school that day, but I was too scared to go to school, lol. I don't have any leak stories, either. Tampons absolutely save me.

Sometimes mine will be like extremely late, like three or four months. I start to panic and think that there's something wrong with me. Not that I really missed it, but then when it comes I am soo relieved. Its only been on time like once since I've gotten it. Which is like almost 5 years maybe.

Anyway, when I first got it, I was too embarrased to tell anyone, even my mom. So I just kept it to myself and stole my mom's pads. This went on for awhile, but eventually she found out. It was quite humiliating

  :?  :( :|  = Me on my perioud.
Basically, I'm a little emostional for the first few days and I before I get it, and I'm always craving for food, being moody, too tired to do anything and lastlty but not least, I tend to bite peoples heads off; if there being the slightest annoyence. It's horrible and I always apologize, but still, I always envy my friends who have light periouds and don't experience many cravings, moody-ness or any sort of pain. lol, my family can always tell when I start, expsecialy my brother .. there has been a few moments ware he knows when to back off, put at that lol
