emmet_<3 It'll be ok after awhile. The couple of months are the worst but after that you get used to them and then it's no big deal.

I don't know why people hate how their braces look. Actually i think girls with braces look cuter, just my thing i don't know, haha

I had braces for a while, i didn't mind them too much, I just had a problem with wearing my bands, so I had to keep them on for alot longer.
I had more problems with my retainer, cause I never could remember to wear it.
At least with braces you don't have to take them off and stuff, they are always there!

I have an open bite, so I'm getting it treated with an expander. I get that off around October, then I get top braces put on. I already have braces on the bottom. I kinda like having them, because I get to change the colors all the time and lots of my friends have them too. They don't hurt as much as they used to.

I think it's just the fact that you have colored squares and wires covering your teeth.

I have braces for 2 years now.
at first it was fun, but having them for so long now is not as fun as it seems anymore.
and the elastics. are so painful. I wake up at night because it hurts so much.
but the changing the colors every month are pretty cool!

Ugh...I hated having braces. They were awful. But it's totally worth it when they come off and your teeth are straight!

How ironic that I found this thread today, right after getting my braces tightened!

i've had my braces since May 12th...I absolutely hte them. I've gotten used to the way they look but I hate having to brush my teeth after every bite I eat, and the pain is terrible. I just got my head-gear today and when i tried it on it hurt so bad I almsot started crying...and I'm a pretty tough person.

*sigh* Three months down, 21 to go!

i had braces for two years before finally getting them off last november.
i can't really say that i hated how they feel, because after the first few months i didn't even notice they were there. what i can say that i didn't like how they looked when i smiled for school pictures. ugh. i am soo happy i don't have em any more.

but, for those of you who have them or are getting them, don't sweat. its all worth it in the wrong run.
