Envious
Envy,
It burns, flaming,
Bright green in every heart.
Twinkling with hope,
Hope, that one day we'll be better.
Better, than others.
At something,
Something you've longed for ages.
Thinking, planning, re-running in your mind.
Too embarassed to suggest,
Suggest what you want to do.
Everyone's envious of someone else who wasn't too embarassed,
Wasn't too ashamed,
Was able to risk disappointment and failure.
So they could succeed at what you want.
Everyone's heart holds burning emeralds twinkling with envy.
Waiting, to get out.
And shine!

A random poem i'm gunna make up



Fear
It crackles low beneath,
Everyone's beating heart.
Pulsing with the beat of your heart.
It makes you run,
Makes you hide,
It's the crisp tear that rolls down your face until you taste the salt in your mouth.
It's your brain switching,
It makes your mind confused.
It makes your soul weak.
And your body quiver.
Makes the tingles down your spine.
Makes your lip shiver,
Your eyes water.
Makes the whole world stop.
Makes you curl up in the corner and sheild yourself from life.
It breaks you.
It shatters you.
It makes you stumble.
The fear pulses behind everyone's healthy heart until it breaks through to the surface when awoken.

Lock to my Heart
I see your face
and my heart starts smiling
before I know it
I give you the key

I trust you enough to love me
As much as I love you
Place the key in the lock
and my heart is free.

It's yours now
That I do not regret
Use it wisely please
and don't ignore it.

Dark Light

Dark light,
I see through the crack in the wall
Is it night?
When dreams happen and nightmares
Twist like vines in my mind.

When shadows move
Like they have minds of their own
When everyone's home
And I'm alone.

Rain
It splats on my roof,
Filling me with dissapointment.
It puts droplets on the blades of grass,
Like tears, gathered bits of a soul.

Dreams Come True

I'm sittin' here
Drownin' in my own tears
Chokin' on all my fear
Wishing I could tell you how I felt
You're sittin' there
Leaned back in the chair
You run your hand through your hair
You don't know you're causin' my stone cold heart to melt
When I dream at night
you are the one I see when I'm sad
your smile comforts me
but you're oblivious
don't realize what you do to me
I figured it was obvious
the effect you have on me
but you don't know
I won't let it show
just how bad I want you
i know it's only in my wildest dreams
you love me too
the way I love you
but my heart just won't agree with my head
it says "sometimes crazy dreams come true"
then my heart goes on dreamin' of you

It's been a long time since I've written any poetry & when I saw this thread I decided I'd try & write something, I used to enjoy it. Now because I'm the obsessed Twilight fan I am & because NM has been on my mind a lot lately (thanks to the movie filming) I have written 2 poems from that book. I'm sure you can guess whose pov they're supposed to be. I have no idea if they're any good but here we go.

Leaving
I have to leave her
Of that I am sure
She's in constant danger
because of what I am
Wouldn't it be better for her
To have a normal human life?
I know I will miss her
The clumsiness and beautiful blushes
The one person in this world
who has stolen my heart
The pain of seperation may come
But I can handle it for her
She's the one I care about
And won't put in danger anymore
Goodbye, My Love.


Never Whole
He's Gone
How can that be?
This feels like a nightmare
Will I ever wake up?
I don't know what day it is
or what I had for breakfast
I can't breathe fully
And there's a whole in my chest
I will never be whole again.
But I have to be strong
If not for me, for Charlie
The white house is so empty
I knew it was a mistake
But I needed to see
He said he stopped loving me
But I will always love him.

Skies
I look up above me
to cerulean skies
stroking the clouds
with a paintbrush's smile

Crystal blue
piercing through the skies
How I'd love so much
to fly and fall in the indigo blanket

The blue is fading
and red has appeared
I cry silent tears
and wait for my cerulean skies.
