You know, I've been sitting on the decision of whether or not to get an industrial for soemthing like six months. I think if it takes me this long to decide I wont do it. Cuz everything else I got done, I knew immediately that I wanted it, it's the stuff I agonize over that I regret.

That said, I want to get another row in the lobe. so far I have two, and I also want a rook in my right ear since I have my cartiledge done in my left and need a little balance. I'm definately getting the ashtray heart I showed tyou guys earlier on the inside of my left ankle even though I know it;'s gonna hurt like a mofu. I already got the estimate (fifty bah and an extra ten if I get the words "mi corazon es mi cenicero" inside the empty heart) Since I've just been fascinated eith the idea of an ashtray heart since I heard that James Dean used to have his gay lovers stub out cigarettes on his chest, his heart really was their ashtray and that symbolizes so much for me. Beyond just the usual low self-esteem and self destructive relationships that most people take it as. And lucky me Placebo also happened to do about 4 different songs that have the same point so I'm calling the design "my ashtray heart" both after the song and the imagery I relate it with....

wow I talk a lot.

I've been planning and thinking about getting a tattoo since I was 14...
When I finally turned 18 I got sick and now I'm not sure if my body can handle the damage it does to my skin..
A normal scratch takes about 3 times longer to heal... but the doc doesn't object against it...

I still have no idea what I really want, it can't be to big for the first time but it has to have a huge meaning for me...
I like quotes I have one in my mind allready.

it's from Harry Potter: The last enemy to be destroyed is death ( not sure if that is the exact quote)
As the twilight saga is a very big part for me at the moment I would love a tattoo based on that but I need ideas...
I thought about a howling wolf... or a quote...I don't know yet...

maybe you guys have some good ideas? :?:

Now I don't have any tats that are quotes but I was thinking about if I ever got a quote, I wanted it to be Twilight related. I decided upon "Be Safe". Those two little words just stood out to me and they just mean so much.

I also like a quote that Emmett used when he was talking to Bella about what brought about his change (which was deleted from the books but can be found on SM's site titled Emmett and the Bear). He says,"Hell's not so bad if you get to keep an angel with you," it's a pretty long quote but I really liked it and thought it was great.

Sorry if I couldn't be of any help but those are two quotes that I would love to have tattoos of.

@ashley
oo, i hope she lets you get it, sneaking that would be a little tough, although not undone obviously
and what age is it okay for yall to get one without permission? for some reason i feel like you can get one with parental permission at 15 here, and then 18 for not needed, i cant remember....
and for my piercings, my mom and i have gone to the same place, the ink shop, because the claires at our mall doesnt do traguses, so when my mom got hers, she went there and weve just been going there since and a lot of my friends are going there now cuz ive been telling people about the whole shattering the cartilage thing and all
@sami
yeah, if youre skeptical, youll probably wanna wait until you know youre sure about things like that
and i hope you can get that tattoo! i wanna see pics when you do!
@marielle
aww, thats too bad that your sickness is gonna hinder that, i hope everythings okay = (
i like that harry potter quote, and the wolf idea, i dont have any specific quotes right now, but if i run across any, ill pm you!
@skylarblue

Sam~Its 16 with permission and 18 is when you don't have to have permission anymore. And the sneaking around would be a bit difficult. I don't live with her so I could easily hide it when I am around her, but the hard part is that my uncle is only 13 years older than me so the tat artist might be a bit skeptical although he looks older than he is.

Skylarblue~The quotes are awesome, and I loved the one that Emmett says when I first read it. I agree with Sam that people at my church may have some issues if I came in with that inked on my skin, but its all about personal preference and remember that other's opinions don't matter as long as you like it. :)

So today I am calling my mum to ask her about a nose stud and if she says no then I will say that it could be my Christmas present from her this year (I actually don't want anything so this could work out perfectly) because she doesn't have too much money for presents to begin with and this way she has one less kid to worry about. :) Then hopefully I can get her to say yes to the tat. I wouldn't be able to get it until my 16th b-day in April, but I am starting the Scarsdale diet today and I could play it as a "congrats on losing the weight" type thing if it works and by April, I will have lost the weight that I am trying to lose. Although, knowing her, she is going to want to think about that last part a bit and say something like "Erm...Umm...well...we'll see if you can lose the weight first. Then we'll talk about you getting a tattoo." :roll:

And yesterday while I was at Wal*Mart I saw this guy that had a Twilight quote on his arm. :) It was the words from Midnight Sun "Not her." on his upper left bicep so I asked him about it. Apparently his daughter had been in a car accident that he was a witness to and she was in a coma for a year. During the time his wife had read the Twilight Saga to her (along with other books) during visiting hours and after she came out of the coma, she remembered hearing bits and pieces of it and ended up reading the entire Saga plus Midnight Sun after she was released from the hospital. So he read them trying to find a quote that would work for a tat to remember what had happened to his daughter but didn't really find anything until he read MS. I just thought I would share that seeing as its a really cool story behind that plus its a Twilight related tat as well. :)

@ashley
okay, that makes sense
yeah, sneaking is never necessarily easy.... :lol:
depending on the kind of tat place, you could probably get it done, do you have the same last name?
and yeah, i know its my decision, im just really into church lately and i think it would be overstepping something, i know its not like swears or anything, i just think it would be something i would always regret and id hate that =/
good luck on calling your mom! im getting mine for my 16th birthday! =D
whats the scarsdale diet?
that story is flipping amazingggggggg! =O

Sam~No, his last name is different than mine, but I don't have the same last name as my mum either. The Scarsdale diet is this thing where you eat like a slice of bread or a little bit of meat, some fruit, and a cup of coffee for every meal. you can't have dairy or pasta and a lot of other good stuff is cut out too so its essentially meat, coffee, some fruits, and bread. You basically eat like that until you lose the weight. Its rather hard, but you lose the weight fast and its healthy.

So far my mum isn't answering her phone. *pouts* She seems to do that a lot, but I shall be back sometime to say if she is gonna let me get the nose stud.

*grumbles* So, my mum ended up saying no to the nose stud, but I'm still getting it. My friend River has done my other friend's septum and a couple other nose studs so I trust him. All I need to do now is pick out a nose stud and buy it.

Sam~Yeah, I am having major issues with the no pasta thing, especially because there is lasanga in the fridge. But, its been 5 days and I've already lost 6 pounds, so its totally worth it. :D

And I know this is off topic, but I am going to get low-lights in my hair which I am very excited about. :)
