oh my goodness, YES!

Paprika:
that's another dream role for me — Christine ... it's just such an amazing part vocally. i just didn't put it down because there is no way i could hit the high notes. Another role I'd love would be Grizabella in Cats — for the song Memory.

I'm an alto.
Mainly, I only sing for musicals.
I'm more of an actress.
Some people hate my singing.
Others love it.
I've never heard myself though.

I have a friend who's told me to watch CATS and I want to but the DVD is perpetually out of the library.

you should definitely see Cats! The songs are just so amazing and funny and clever lyrics — and Memory is spectacularly done in the film version. Seriously, it can bring me to tears, that song can.

Here's a fantastic quality video of the song — http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_UQil4j_i8
i wouldn't mind being Jemima, the other cat that sings, because at least i'd be singing a piece of this fantastic song.

I'm a soprano, but sometimes sing alto if needed. I was in a voice workshop class last year, and we only had a few altos in that class so I bumped down to help them out. They weren't really the loudest bunch. There's a lot of people in my class that claim they were a soprano because they didn't want to sing the alto parts. I didn't mind, but I can't really go past a low A. Anything lower hurts my throat...

I'm taking Musical Theatre in my school this year, second semester. We get to sing "melodies" of Mamma Mia! and Fiddler on The Roof.

oh, my chorus sang "Tradition" from Fiddler on the Roof last winter — I was in the "mama's" section.

Like everyone else, I love to sing also. Sadly most I've ever done with it is sing along to the songs in my radio and participate in church choir. I've been thinking about pursuing professional lessons and college but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Good luck to all the peeps with dreams of going to broadway and beyond!

My dream roles:

---Madame Giry/ Meg Giry in Phantom (I could never pull off a Christine)
--- Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde
--- Elle Woods in Legally Blonde
--- ANY PART in Wicked.

So yeah...but I would happy just to get a chorus part ;D

OKAY, who brought up the Cell Block Tango??

He had it coming. He had it coming....He had it coming all along.

I'm traditionally an alto and am working on recording an album currently. Nothing big or fancy but I do perform for local events here.

Most recent song I covered is Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps by Doris Day. You can hear it by going to myspace.com/erithcollinsworth. It's my music profile.

I've recently gotten into some sinus trouble so my voice isn't what it can be... but my dr. and I are working on stuff to fix it. Gotta love the human body sometimes. Am I the only one who wanted to read about one of the vampires singing and try to figure out how they sounded? ;)
