At first my folks didn't know what I was reading because they would always see me with a different thick book everyday. but then when I told my mom if she could buy Breaking Dawn she asks if she could read it because the cover caught her attention. I told her she wouldnt get it if she didnt read the first 3 books. Then in about 3 weeks she loved the books. She even loved the movie and i gotta tell you my mom is a hard critic on movies. Although she is not that obessed with it like me. Now I'm trying to convince her to let me see the movie Interview with the vampire. She says " I dont want you to turn into a goth! Twilight is different." I'm not a goth and more closer to being an Emo. My dad has no idea that Twilight exists. My mom apart from my best friends
is the only who understands Twilight.Because other people ask what the book is about and I tell them vampires and werewolves. They walk away whispering " freakin gothic girl" and i just flipped them off in public .

Yeah, my mom's okay with it. She even saw the Twilight movie with me. But now she wants to read the books.
At first I'm like "Okay, sure!" But now that I think about the stuff between Edward and Bella in Breaking Dawn, I don't think she'll be too happy with me when she gets to that part :? ...

My parents are perfectly fine with me reading Twilight. They don't really care what I read as long as there is no sexual content in it....we haven't discussed Breaking Dawn, hehe.
My mom took me to see the twilight movie the day it came out.
Then I dragged my dad to the movies to see it again on Saturday.
Now, I am going to drag my mother to see it one more time this Satuday.

I never had to worry about my parents being to worried about what I read it terms of vampire novels. I grew up with the Grimm's Fairy Tales (I hated the watered-down versions), traditional Welsh stories, and a love of forensics and death that worried my parents for a total of three months before they just gave in and bought the books I asked for.

The only books they had problems with were the Anita Blake novels as they are very sexually explicit and I had not informed my mother about this. She had opened one of them and read a bit and was shocked, but she just looked at me and said: 'You know to use your judgment, so I won't rag on you.' (Granted, she got upset about the Tutors. My mother is so weird. xD)

My mother has gotten used to my weird quirks. My college is offering a literature class about vampires in literature (they offer it every Winter quarter.) I'm gonna check out the teacher and see if I like them and perhaps take that since I need another English credit.

Plus, it's Washington.
We are all vampires anyway so there is no need to get worked up about it.

Actually...... My mom is the one who got me into the books over the summer. We read them together, and actually would stay p until like 2 in the morning reading and we got t-shirts and were looking up pics and info about the movies and we went to the midnight release of breaking dawn. We were crazy about these books and still are. Also my mom and i are fantasy people and we are basically vampires because we are so fair skinned. We like the vampires of twilight and find the aspect of vampires pretty cool.

My dad just rolls his eyes. But he has read some of the books. He just doesnt really get it LOL.
I have AWESOME parents. (blushes)

I don't think they really care. They think I'm weird, but they don't have a problem with it. Actually, my mom is reading Twilight right now. My dad just thinks I'm crazy, but that's ok. They also think it's weird that I saw the movie three times, but they don't have a problem with it. Although they might have a problem with it if they knew how addicted I actually was.

^^Hehe! My mother is fine with vampires (she used to watch Buffy the Vampireslayer among other things containing vampires). She's never asked to read the books, but I don't think she would be enitrely pleased with everything in Breaking Dawn either... And I don't think my father has a problem with it. I never asked him but he hears me talk about it and has never said anything that has demonstrated a disapproval for it.

I thought at first that my parents would really mind that I was reading a story about vampires but they really don't care. I told my mom about it before I saw the movie and she was fine with it. My dad doesn't like them but he doesn't like most of the things that I like lol. Anything supernatural that could never happen in real life is out of his league  .

My mom is now reading it. :D My sister now reads them also, and my mom introduced them to some of her friends as well.
