OMJ--openhome...I have never actually played a FF game, but I've watched them played, and I've seen Advent Children a thousand times and I've never been attracted to a cartoon before in my life until that (with the exception of Gambit, but that's another story). I had a crush on Yazoo and Kadaj for like, months. And Cloud? And my best guy friend use to talk about how much he wanted Yuffie. I called her a materia stealing b*tch, lol. Anyway, that's all.
Left my heart on the Gen Y thread....<3 my Lexily!
How could anyone say no to this face? Awww....

Spock is SO totally supposed to be attractive! It even happened in the 1960's (much to Roddenberry's shock and dismay).

So, how many of us are interested in the whole LOTR, Twilight, Star Trek thing? That could be an interesting topic of dscussion. I have found that a geek in one theme is often a geek in others. Twilight is my only vampire geekdom.

Here are my geeky themes (I have never told anyone just how many fantasy worlds I like to loose myself in, so this is a little scary):
LOTR, Twilight, Star Trek (all of the series)
Star Wars (yep I've been to the thread)
Stargate
Babylon 5
Final Fantasy (and other cartoony anime)

I am always looking for more, so if you guys have any recommendations, I would love to read them!

Why are we freaking out about my posts...?

I'm not sure if I can list all of my obsessions...
LotR
Harry Potter
Eragon
Welsh legend- which includes Arthurian legends. Heck, my Facebook's language is set to Welsh.
Do ninjas count? I got over Pirates a while ago.
Warcraft. Not World of Warcraft, I play the strategy version.
Epic video games in general, even if I haven't played most of them because I don't have a PS3/Xbox 360.
Halo- awesome game.
I don't think boy bands go under proper nerdy obsessions... unless they had Brendon Urie action figures.
And.. um... a lot more. A lot. I cna't even remember all of them.

Wow! I feel so at home now!
I can't tell you how many times I have had wonderful adventures in my little mind with all my fictional heros while I was supposed to be listening to lectures and taking notes.
Yes, I LOVE Babylon 5!! The creator was brilliant! I have all the DVD's and know all the episodes (I am a little obsessive)
I also love Cloud from FF -- everyone does. He has the perfect combination of angst, sensitivity, and really cool hair. My daughter says he's a whiny baby and that Reno is better. I may have to agree.

I forgot Serenity and Dr. Who. Love them!

Is Spooks British? I haven't heard of it yet.
By the way NERD HERD is the best description of me (us) that I have ever heard. I need to make a siggy with that phrase!

yeah, the nerd herd is deffinatly me and remmett!

yeah spooks is this bbc drama-ish thing about MI5.....homeland security.....it's amazing...they base the plot on events that have been happening that year, and don't even mind killing characters, it's really realistic.....in the first episode of the last series they killed the main character....he was trying to drive that car that had a bomb in it away from inner city london, and got it to a safe place, he had just opened the door and had one foot on the floor when the timer went off and he was killed.
i was like
"NONONO" :shock: :o :shock: "ADAM!!!!"

it's an amazing show, well worth watching! and malcom is just the best....he is the teckie kinda guy, he stays in the base and does all the copmputer stuff...he's managed to survive all 7/8 serieses.....he is the one character that is just never alowd to die. we all love him so much. :D

Ok, love_is_noise - I NEED YOUR BANNER!!!!

i will pay you for it....

and spooks is my absolute most favourite thing in the world. I love it and intend to work in the counter terrorism sector of MI5 when i'm older (where spooks is set)

Oh and FYI my fellow twilight dorks :D:D:D:D:D , the man on the far right of love_is_noise's banner is called Lucas North, portrayed by Richard Armitage and I am toally and utterly devoted to him. this is a love greater than my love of Edward Cullen when I read twilight for the first time. now that's saying something

voice in my head : yeah, that you're a total dork and love fictional characters

me : nu-huh. I love Richard Armitage too. and besides that, i'm proud to be a total dork that talks to herself. so :ugeek:

All of us are total dorks (members of the nerd herd) who have fictional characters talking to us. It keeps the day from getting boring.
My real world isn't nearly as fun as all of the others. Going from one fictional world to another while I do the mundane things of this planet keeps me sane (or at least that is what I keep telling myself). :ugeek:
