Yep, those were the days
Hahaha. Yep. My mom was convinced it was going to turn me into a demon or something. Same with Sailor Moon. I remember once I bought a pack of Sailor Moon videos from the store and a few days later my mom told me that she'd had a talk with God and he told her to throw them out (just like the time she had a talk with God and he told her that it was okay to let us go trick-or-treating).

no offence but your mom sounds crazy, she had a talk with God? And what's wrong with trick-of-treating? But yeah Sailor Moon is basically porn, I relized that a lot of anime and stuff we watch as kids has a whole nother meaning we don't get untill we are older. My mom actually adheres to Catholic Chruch's banned book list, well she used to until I made her read some of the novels....

Lol, silly. Anime isn't porn. Sure, there's hentai... but the kids' shows are just cartoons. Believe me, I still watch them occasionally and it's rare that I find any lude references, even when I watch them in Japanese. But yea, my mom is a crazy. Always has been, always will be. And not the good, fun kind of crazy either. I'm talking the should-have-been-locked-away-a-long-time-ago crazy.

Lucky you. But seriously, I was watching Outlaw Star the other day, which is supposedly about a race with space ships nothing but sexual metaphores and phallic imagery. And don't even gget me started on thundercats. Either that or my brain has been completely polluted and I see dirty things everywhere. Which is beyond possible.

So about the places we read....

I generally read in my room and on occasion I read upstairs in our living room or at the kitchen table. Of course, reading upstairs depends on if anyone's home.

I usually read in my room or in the living room by the fireplace. In the summer I like to read outside in my backyard.

I read in/on my bed and on any sofas around the house.
The one place I can't read is in a moving vehicle, car bus etc. It makes me travel sick.
For some reason, I can't read in a library without getting a headache. I read there anyway, but it gets annoying!

For the most part, I read on/in my bed. It's so peaceful in there and a comfortable place to read especially when the sun is shining through my window. When it's warm outside, especially in the summer time, I like to sit outside on my patio with the umbrella up to prevent glare and a cushion on the chair to lean into. I miss reading in my old yard; the trees caused something of a releasing background when they swayed in the breeze and dappled the sunlight. Oh well....

I usually always carry the book I'm reading with me when I'm riding in the car, but I can't concentrate too well.
