Fan: We long past our 2 week spoiler free zone. Please feel free to openly discuss the book!

I finally finished LU early this morning. I was up to 2 am. The passages relating to V broke my heart, especially after he broke down at the penthouse and yes, I got teary and cried. What Butch had to do killed me. I found it interesting that the guys thought of violence while their shellans, well at least Jane, thought of baking. I knew they wouldn't bake together since they are both bonded males who love their shellans deeply.
Although it was labeled as Payne's book, the book was really more about V and his issues. After reading Payne's book, I have a better understanding and appreciation of Jane. It's not that I didn't like her, I just felt she was distant and cold. I warmed up to her as she and V had their problems. I was happy for V to break down his barriers.
Anyone else thought the storyline of the serial killer was unnecessary? I get that Throe was ticked off, but did she really need lots of chapters for that? I would've liked more Payne and Manny interaction. I felt their relationship was too quick and I wouldn't liked to know them better.

Can I say that I hate the SV and Bloodletter even more?! HATE THEM!

 We finally get a female who didn't need a male to rescue her!

Qhuay...*Sigh* I really wished we had their novella first and then Tohr. I don't know how she can transition from Payne to Tohr unless she builds upon the Throe issue. It makes me sad to see them both hurting. I was a bit surprised that Saxton told Qhuinn that he would back off and told Blay that Q was always with them regardless if he was physically present. Personally, I think the Blay/Qhuinn/Layla thing is a cop out. It's not being true to Qhuay or to Layla. She deserves her own HEA and so they do. For her to have their kids would be a selfish thing to do. Besides, I don't think they are ready to have kids. I never got the sense that either of them wanted kids. My guess is that the girl that Qhuinn sees is actually his sister that he never knew about. I find it weird that Qhuinn is the only one in his family to have two different eye colors. What if there was another sibling that had the same genetic defect and maybe died at a really young age?

Anyone know where the Old Country is? How do the Brothers know XCor and company? Where did Lassister go in this book? He was never mentioned.

cullengirl- there was a lot left out of this book...like Lassiter.

Also, where are all these new Lesser recruits coming from?? I guess we may find that info out later on? But I too have a hard time seeing how the next book will be Tohr's...It'll be a jump from one storline to a whole other one.

I really liked getting to see a deeper side of V and Jane. I had always felt like V's book ended without a huge revelation for V, like his story wasn't ever really done. It was nice to see that breakthrough...and see a solidifaction of their relationship.

I definitely wanted to see more of the Manny and Butch connection. I felt like Ward backed off there. I'm hoping more is shown in other books along the way.

On the whole Layla situation...I really considered that maybe Layla ended up falling in love with another a woman? I mean, since she seemed to be striking out with males...I thought it might be a direction the Ward was going in. Then, she might have a child with Qhuinn or Blay that is sort of a baby for Layla, her partner, Blay, and Qhuinn? I know it's an out there thought, but it was just something that ran through my mind as a possibility. But then it was mentioned that Xcor might be Layla's HEA and that ended that line of thinking. My opinion on Xcor...the guy definitely showed signs that he's capable of being a good guy, like letting Payne go...but there is a whole other side to him and that's really gonna be something he has to work through. I mean, he seems to be the next big enemy the Brothers are gonna have to face. So, that's not really someone I wanna see Layla with, unless she works to bring him around.

Ok, so much more to add but stopping there for now :)

When I was reading the book, I got caught up in the moment - just being back in Cadwell. But after it was over and the more I think about it.... there were a lot of flaws with the story line and it really wasn't that great of a book in many ways.

CG: the whole serial killer subplot was A SET UP FOR THE NEXT FALLEN ANGELS BOOK!! Yes... the new cop is going to be the hero of the next book, Envy. She announced that shortly after LU came out. I am disgusted!

Oh well... still love the series! LOL

V's book is my least favorite because of this fact- it just ended and I felt like Ward silenced him. He's got a whole bunch of issues that were brought up but none of them were addressed. I finally feel like there is some closure to his book. Yes, I was ticked because his shellan turned out to be a ghost! In a lot of ways Payne's book reminded me of Phury's- particularly with the lack of twins connection and more focus on the person with the issue.

I was going to be royally ticked off if she didn't mention the connection. I was afraid that he was going to have vampiristic traits and not end up having vamp in him. I had a feeling that Manny and Butch were related and I felt that their revelation was anticlimactic. Kinda like, "So yeah, I'm your long lost half brother. Wanna grab a beer?"

I don't know about Xcor. I still don't understand how the Brothers knew about them or why there weren't brought up earlier as another threat. I know some people think he's like Z, but I don't see it.

Yeah, Tohr's book seems to be coming from left field and I'm worried. I want him to be happy, but I just don't think he's ready. He's only mentioned twice in the book and that's by passing.

Got a few other questions: No'One and Payne seemed close in JM's book but where did she go? I also thought Rhage and Mary are going to have a subplot of adoption. They are going to adopt. There's no way and under no circumstance that Mary is going to let Rhage get with another woman. After his past and the beast, nope. Not going to happen. Is Saxton living at the mansion now? I thought that was a one time deal when he got beat up or is it permanent? Where the heck is the Omega or Lash? And is that threesome suppose to shock people to make the m/m relationship more palatable?

Twimom: That subplot for her other series was so LAME. I also hated the fact that she made a point of Jose trying to find Butch but that came to nothing. Yes, she has another series but she should have said it for the Fallen Angels book. This book is definitely not the best in the series. I actually liked Phury's book more, despite the stupid wizard part.
