Una, I'm so glad you had a good weekend. And it is so cool when hubby gets to come to the doctor appts. It is a wonderful thing to share. It sounds like you are right on track with your health and baby health. That is great news. Can't wait to hear if you are having a boy or a girl (you will tell us won't you?!).
I have no desire to go back to being a teenager. They were tough years for me. Now, I wouldn't mind going back to be a young 20 something. I would want the knowledge I have now though. I would definitely make some different choices. Of course, some of the choices I made are what got me to where I am, so how do you decide what ones to keep the same and which ones to change? Good thing we can't really go back.
Happy Birthday Love2Dream!

Happy Birthday Love2Dream!!!
I wouldn't want to go back. High school was bad enough the first time. I'm grateful for the experiences, they helped to mold me into who I am, but some were pretty painful and I just don't want to live that again.
Bac, of course I'll let you guys know pink or blue!
ETA: Thank you to the wonderful and awesome Nena for updating our title!!!

Happy Birthday, Love2Dream! Have a gutterific day!
Going back to the teen years?? Man, I wouldn't go back if you paid me. I enjoyed being a teen (minus the hormonal junk). I wouldn't necessarily change things I did; I would do them better...IF I went back.
Yay, Una! I can't wait to hear what you're having! My sono is on Sept. 22; let's hope that Baby J cooperates so that we do indeed find out blue or pink!

As I said, you couldn't pay me to be a teen again, however, there are some things now that might make it a little better.
1) Proactive! I would have needed it in body wash form.
2) Midol. Where was that when we needed it?
3) Cell phones. Wait... um, maybe not. I got away with way too much stuff since I couldn't call.
4) Spray tans. How many burns did I endure all for freckles and wrinkles?
5) Starbucks. I had to sneak my caffine in McDonald's cups.
6) The internet. I had to pay my friends to write my journal entries for me.
7) Computers. Who can remember the nasal woman's voice and the sound of 30 typrewriters screwing up in unison?
I'm very glad to have made it through to this side of womanhood!

It's so funny that ya'll are talking about going back in time...my mom and I were just having this conversation the other day! My problem is, I'd be afraid to go back because I would no doubt do things differently and then I might not have the two beautiful children I do today. But there are definitely memories I wish I didn't have...so ugh, I'm just glad it's not an option I seriously have to consider!
Thank you Naureen!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVE2DREAM!
I still really wouldn't want to go back to being a teenager again unless I could go back with the ability to stand up for myself and my ADHD diagnosis so I don't have to endure the bullying and the school/learning problems.
I kind of miss having summers off to just goof around.

Okay, I do miss this. Summer vacation, *sigh* I wish. I get three weeks a year total time off...minus one week for our office closure between Christmas and New Years...yeah. I have two weeks a year for vacation and sick.oleander wrote:I kind of miss having summers off to just goof around.

That'scertainly one thing I love about being a teacher! I get all the holidays off that my children get off and summers!! It's excellent! It saves me having to find someone to watch my kids when school's out, too. If only the pay was better...then it might just be the best job ever! LOL
Thank you Naureen!!
