HIYA FOLKS!

I have been majorly MIA recently. I don't even have the excuse of planning a wedding anymore LOL! Time is just flying part these days... do you know that on Saturday, we will have been married for 8 weeks! Wowza!

Work is still going well. To those who asked, I will work every second Saturday & therefore get every second Monday off. I don't think it will bother me too much.. it makes the weekends seem really long!

Trying to think what I have been up to... we are going on holiday to Tenerife the end of August! We really like Tenerife (we have been loads before LOL) as it's such a pretty place, plus since it's in the Canaries, you are pretty much guarenteed sun all year long! We have been busy trying to choose our professional wedding photos. Hopefully that won't be too much longer! We have bought a couple of lovely things for our house with wedding money - our living room now looks really homely!

Speaking of my wedding actually, I have tried to put up some photos that our friends & family took during the day on fb, so you guys can see them and stuff. I also put up a wee video that my hubs uncle made for us - did anyone see that? It's kinda cheesy, but really sweet at the same time! Plus it means you guys can see a wee bit of the day, dancing etc. Let me know if you want me to post it on the HH fb page!

We went to the cinema a few times... most recently to see SWatH (see below) and What to expect when you're expecting. I really enjoyed this! Like Christina said, it's not just funny parts in the film - there is sad parts too. Obviously it is about a few pregnant people and - minor spoiler - you have the person who is adopting, someone who miscarries, someone with twins, someone with complications during labour etc. So basically a wide range of emotions - but I guess that is the point of the film! I really liked it. Plus, Anna Kendrick is in it! Which I didn't know before I went to see it.

Anyways, since there is a bazillion pages, I am just gonna randomly say stuff! So... to the posts!

SWatH - I really really liked it! Much more than I expected tbh..as I wouldn't have went to see it if it weren't for Kristen in it. Might be a couple of minor spoilers ahead! I really loved the beginning: how they set up the story, telling the history of how the evil queen became powerful & how Snow White was locked up in the castle. I thought Charlize was excellent as the queen - pure evil! But at the same time, you felt really sorry for her at some parts, especially when you found out why she was they way she was. Chris was great as the Huntsman - he certainly is a looker! inv spoiler: especially at the end, at the church when Snow White is crowned Queen - he's all clean & gorgeous!. Kristen was fantastic! She seemed very vunerable in the beginning, and as the movie went on, her strength grew, which was great to watch. inv spoiler: I loved the magpies (?) in the film, directing her where to go etc when she was in trouble!.
I thought lots of the movie had a very epic feel to it. Parts of it reminded me a LofR (inv spoiler: especially when they were treking over the land, to get to the Duke's palace), and of Narnia (inv spoiler: especially at the land of the fairies & when the white stag (?) came out of the trees - very much like Aslan!). It had some very powerful moments, as you can imagine, espeically as there is a war going on in the film! Inv spoiler: The most powerful part for me(that wonderful power thing in movies that causes my eyes to water & my breathing to sharpen!)was after she awoke from her magically sleep & walked out to everyone thinking she was dead, and asked if they were with her, if they would fight with her. And then they are bowed down before her! Wow!. I read an interview with Kristen that said this part was her “Bravehearty speech” LOL. I guess it kinda is like that, but I think it works!
So overall, I really enjoyed it! I also really liked the Florence & the Machine song at the end during the credits – I downloaded it & am listening to it just now!

Kristen interviews - Tonight I have been watching a lot of SWatH promo (since I'm waaaay behind on stuff like that!) and I wanted to rec the "moviefone unscripted" interview with Kristen, Charlize & Chris - very funny! I normally really like the unscripted interviews; always have a good wee giggle!
I also watched anothet one that asked her about working with Rob and she said that she is "dying to make another movie with Rob, I mean I think we're like, a good team" - I love that!! :D

Some RobSten love - By watching these interviews tonight, it has made me feel all happy inside with the RobSten love! Of course, it is always there ( ;) ) but my shipper heart if really happy tonight! Haha! I actually found this really nice wee video that you can watch right here. It's pictures from Cannes (and so has some papz pics...), some quotes from interviews that I actually watched tonight & it's a lovely wee song! If you watch it, let me know what you think!

HHCon 2012 - All the talk here and on fb makes me sad! Obviously I am so happy that you guys are all getting to meet up, but I am sooo jealous that I am not gonna be there!! I keep checking the flights, just in case LOL, but they are mega expensive. Plus you can't fly direct from Scotland, which I think is really strange & very annoying! And the weekend of the HHCon is our local Galaday, so technically I am busy that weekend, but still! It doesn't stop me looking LOL.
You all need to promise to post MILLIONS of photos!

Marielle - HAVE A GREAT TRIP! I'm not sure if you'll see this before you go... I hope you and your bf have a fantastic time on your road trip & I hope you post lots of pics from that as well LOL.

Lynne - MEGA CONGRATS ON YOUR BOOK!! Try not to worry about that woman saying it's too much like Twilight. Obviously your publisher likes it! And like lots have said, you can find Twilight elements in practically every book. I think this woman is just trying to annoy you tbh!
Btw, "star crossed lovers" tales are my favourite! :D

Brenda - I didn't seem to get a PM from you... did you send my your email so that I can send you MoBS? Do you still want it?

Everyone else - HI THERE!! :D

My hubs is actually away tonight on business so I am all alone! I have enjoyed making this post though, but sorry for the lack of proper replies. I do read everything & I'll hopefully be back tomorrow!

I'm not sure what to do the rest of the night... I really kinda want to watch BD, or a Kristen film (I want to watch On The Road, but obviously I don't have that LOL). I also want to read a great story... an all consuming love story or fanfic perhaps? See! My shipper heart is sooo happy!!

Anyways! I'm off! Bye!

Morning all!

I'm not working today, but I have to go shopping. It's my parents' 45th wedding anniversary party on Saturday, and they're having it at our place. I've got to buy decorations and ingredients to make some goodies for everyone. I hope I remember everything!

Caryn - I was thinking of hiring a P.I. to hunt you down if you didn't turn up soon. But since you come bearing Rob gifts, you are forgiven! ;) You have been busy, so it's not surprising you haven't been able to visit!

Jaclyn - thanks for your good wishes. I hope you enjoy your holiday in Tenerife. Yes, talk about the HHCon makes me sad, too!

Just flying by to say:

Happy Humpday!
I'm loving these Toronto Cosmopolis Press Conference pics! Maybe we should replace the waterbottle-porn with toothpick-porn? :swoon: This made me think of those Japanese cartoons like Pucca. LOL. So cute! But seriously; who can resist this man? I suggest taking a pregnancy test after viewing that one, btw. One more, because I can. He should do watch commercials. I'd buy one!

I had a blast power kiting today! It's really a lot of fun! And the weather was perfect! Although I look like a lobster right now from the sunburn. It's frustrating to burn so fast even though I used a 50 spf sunblock. The perks of being a redhead. Sigh. But it was worth it so whatever. I'm going to take a shower, thread my sunburn with after-sun lotion and go to bed. I'm so tired from spending the day on the beach! I'll try to make a post tomorrow. Bye!

Hi everyone :)

Thanks for the good reviews on SWATH. I wanna see the movie and see if it lives up to what I want it to be.

Kristen has been in LA since last weekend and her stuff's over for about a couple of weeks, and Rob's back in LA and K's gotta be happy not to have to sleep alone now.

Speaking of which, anyone hear of the rumors that Kristen and Rob are engaged. Right now, it's probably just that, a rumor. Nice thought, but that's probably down the road for them. Besides, consider the source, Hollywood Live...meh...

Happy Thursday all!

It's nearly the weekend! Wayhey!

We actually have a very busy weekend planned. Tomorrow it is my uncle's 60th birthday party. It will be good, as I love getting together with family & catching up! Especially since this is the first time we will all have been together since our wedding. Then on Saturday, me & my hubs, my parents and my sister & her bf are going to the casino! We are going for dinner first, then going to play some of the tables. Looking forward to it!

What is everyone else up to?

Anyways...to the posts!

Lynne - Happy 45th wedding anniversary to your parents!! I hope you enjoy the party - I love family get-togethers! :)

Suzan - Whew, that's for those pics! *swoons*
Btw, what exactly is "power kiting"? LOL.

Sean - I think those rumors occur quite a lot, but if it is true, I honestly don't think we would find out. I mean, I don't think Rob & Kris would announce it to the world! It would be really nice if it were true though!
People are also saying that's one of the reasons they gave up smoking - that, and cos they want to have a baby. But like I said, people say this stuff all the time, and if it was true, we wouldn't know for a long time! LOL.

Tonise & Susie - Hey there! :)

I am off now to make my tea. Think I will have pasta (my hubs still isn't back from his work trip yet) and watch some tv.
Have a good one everyone! Catch you all later! :)

Hey everyone!
It’s rather quiet in here… Where is everyone? Is this the silence before the HHcon-storm?

Sean – My SWatH review is up, if you want to check it out. I think you’ll really enjoy the movie, so I hope you get a chance to go see it or maybe buy the DVD when it comes out. Thanks for posting that gif. That’s a very good combination!

Christina – I loved Kristen’s red dress at the Cosmopolis premier as well! She looked absolutely stunning! And I loved the back of that dress! She’s really finding her way in fashion. MTV showed a clip from the Batman movie? Well, a lot of good it did them… not!

Marielle – In case you’re lurking; I hope you had a good flight. And have fun on your trip through Canada! I couldn’t agree more with you on SWatH. Hmm, seems like I’m not the only one who noticed a little something missing from Kristen’s performance at some points. Don’t get me wrong; I still think she’s awesome and a fantastic actress. But there were moments where I thought I was watching Kristen Stewart and not Snow White, if you get what I mean. I posted my thoughts on that at the Kristen Stewart thread if you’re interested.

Lynne – It is kind of ridiculous that those doctor can just get away with mistakes like that. They should do some sort of tests or something when they install that thing. I mean the wire was connecting to a muscle, which made my grandmother have spasms like she was having constant hiccups. You’d think they’d notice that. They turned the wire off when they realized what was going on though, so she doesn’t have to walk around with the hiccups for two weeks, but still. Congratulations on your parents wedding anniversary. I’m sure the little party you’re planning will be wonderful. And definitely :swoon: LOL

Caryn – Aren’t you the one that always tells us that we don’t have to apologize for real life? And it certainly sounds like you had your fair share of real life the past couple of days. I still appreciate the gifts though. :swoon:
I hope you had a nice time on your family weekend, even with the stressful schedule.

Jaclyn – Another vacation? Good for you! Hope you have fun! I’m glad you enjoyed SWatH. I posted my thoughts on the Kristen Stewart thread if you’re interested. I really liked how they give us some more background into the characters. With the Disney version it’s always like: Yes, there’s a princes and an evil stepmother and a prince who saves the day on his white horse. But you never really ask yourself how they came to be that way. You never question their motives. They just are the way they are. I thought it was really clever of everyone in this version to get into that aspect of the story. I LOVED, LOVED the video you posted!! GAH!! And uhmm… Don’t tell anyone, but secretively I’ve been checking flights too. LOL Never going to happen though. :(

OK, dinner is waiting to be cooked, so I better get going. Bye!

Good afternoon, siblings. Looks like this will likely be my new regular posting time, as often as that works out anyways. I seem to have a bit more downtime just after lunch as I don't get to the office now until mid-morning.

RobNews~ Of course, Bel Ami begins hitting theaters in the US this weekend, a fact over which I am over the moon. I've watched it a few times on OnDemand and can't wait to see it with the HHCon crew. And, it looks like we finally have a US date for Cosmopolis!!! It is set to open in NYC and LA on August 17th and then to wider markets in the weeks to follow. And, speaking of Cosmopolis, Rob wrapped up the Toronto opening by taping an appearance on the George Stoumboulopoulos Show, a very well respected talk show on CBC. They put out a clip yesterday that is sooooo worth the watch. I have to say, I might have developed just a bit of a crush on Strombo (as he's apparently called up north). If you watch, you'll see why. He asks great questions, is very respectful and clearly interested in Rob's thoughts, and gives Rob the chance to actually answer the questions, which of course leads to some very insightful and really cool answers from Rob. My favorite is the discussion of his argument with Adele. That's just bloody priceless. I can't wait until we get the whole thing! And, can I just interject how much I have come to seriously adore David Cronenberg? I mean, I've always admired the man as a filmmaker, even if I thought his films were a bit odd. But, as you know, I kind of have a rule that, if you love Rob, I have to love you. Thus, when DC makes comments such as Rob becoming one of his favorite actors, yeah, I kind of have to have serious love for the man. It's been obvious since well before Cannes, as David became more and more vocal about Rob's talent and how he's been unfairly dismissed or labeled, that David was becoming one of Rob's best supporters. But, it's become so clear during promotion that David truly respects Rob, and sees and appreciates his talent. Yep, he's as far under Rob's spell as we are. *giggle* Yes, it's going to be a big finish to 2012 for our Rob. I'm still trying to figure out how he's going to work in shooting two films and promote BD2. Alas, we shall see. Right now, I think he's earned just a few days of R&R, don't you?

Jaclyn~ I made sure to take a look at the new photos you all posted on FB. I love seeing the shots of various family members. Everyone looks so happy. The professional photos can definitely be a chore, especially if you had a good photographer. I love taking out my album and just leafing through it. Always makes me smile. I loved everything you said about SWatH. But, the format was even better. Just know that we’ll miss you at HHCon. We’ll be thinking of all of you who cannot make it.

Lynne~ Aww, happy anniversary to your parents! 45 years is quite an accomplishment. As much running around as I’ve been doing, I’m sure I could have given the PI the slip for a while.

Suzan~ OH YES!! This last week, but Toronto especially has just given us all manners of porn; watchporn, toothpickporn, lollipopporn, chestporn, smileyporn, fingerporn… the list goes on and on and on. Powerkiting sounds like a ton of fun. Hopefully, the sunburn doesn’t sting too much.

Sean~ Yes, I’m positive that they are giddily happy to be back together for a few weeks. The rumors I’ve seen are even more ridiculous. There is lots of speculation that they actually got married in Cannes! The best one so far, though, was the article in Hollywood Laugh that claimed to have all of their wedding details, including Rob writing a song to sing to Kris which he would perform on the guitar she gave him for Christmas, their first dance being to VanMorrison and exchanging black wedding bands. My reaction was some serious eyerolling. I posted in one of the FB groups that I wonder if, when they are actually planning their wedding, they would consult the article. :rotfl:

Susie~ Good to see you alive and well. After the amount of chest flauntage flying around the last week or so, I was seriously worried for your health. ;-)

Suzan~ Actually, with all the kids out for the summer and responsibilities with that, and all of the adjustment crazy, it does tend to get a wee bit quieter around the HH in the summer. Yes, yes, I know. I do always say to never apologize for real life. But, see, I work on the basis of this horrid double-standard that allows me to forgive others just about anything, but beat myself up horribly about the same things. I’m weird that way.

Just because we go SOOOO much from Cosmopolis promotion that we'll never share it all, and Rob was just amazing throughout!!
