Hi, Y'all!! Just doing a drive-by today! I have just finished catching up with all the Comic Con stuff over on FB and I've now watched the JH interviews with everyone but SM, and I've watched the entire Panel Vid! WOW!!! I am soooooo uber-excited about what I've heard so far about the movie! I know they've all been put under somewhat of a gag order, but I just don't get the feeling from what they've said about how much the fans are going to love this one that there is going to be anything in this last film that just devastates us. At least, I'm holding on to that hope!

I have to go this afternoon and get something for a bake sale tomorrow. We're having a Yard Sale/Silent Auction for the little girl named Ava-bug from our church who has lukemia, and I have signed up to serve all day tomorrow with set-up, money collection, and clean-up. Then, Sunday is my day to do the Cafe' for first service. I'm hoping the sun is totally back out and it'll be pool weather by Sunday afternoon. Monday, I'm going with Mama and Daddy to the hospital for Mama's mylogram to see which side of her neck gets the focus during surgery. We should know more about everything by Wednesday. I'm still praying that her surgery will be either before I go to the beach or after... NOT during. Y'all help me pray! I soooo need that beach trip!

Well, I'm off for now to do what tiny bit of shopping I need to do today. Tonight, I plan on staying in and doing some writing before going to bed early. Set up for Ava's fundraiser tomorrow is at 5 am! Have a great Friday, Siblings! :D

Morning all!

It's Saturday here, and we're going to a dinner tonight for all the adults at our church which my MIL is hosting. I'm really looking forward to it; it should be a great night.

I've just been watching the panel video, and I thought it was great. It was so much fun. I hope we will get to see the clips soon, but I'm not going to hold my breath. I guess they'll be out before November!

I haven't done anymore on my fanfic for the past 24 hours, but Bella is home now, and Edward is guarding the woods outside her house (he won't stay outside much longer!) while she sleeps.

Hi everyone.

I ran my errands, took a nap, mostly watched some TV, and put some books on hold at the library that I hope to pick up next week. So I haven't done much the past day or so that's of much interest, and I'm pretty much tired of the Kristen bra size talk--mostly because it's not a huge deal to me--unless anyone has something to add, or if anyone wants to know my opinion on the subject--which might be better for the Baking thread ;)

I have a sinus headache right now, which is usually a sure sign of rain coming; I can only hope. I also found a new site www.lemans-tv.com, which is an official ACO site, but it mostly links to You Tube and Dailymotion videos.

I'll be back later :)

Hi everyone :)

Sorry to double post, but I've been listening to this song called Young Lust by Pink Floyd from The Wall album, and, though I love the song, it does show, literally and metaphorically, how Kristen and Rob and Bella and Edward are against random sex and selling your soul and lusting for money and greed and excess.

I think that everyone should listen to The Wall once--the messages that Roger Waters wrote into to all of those lyrics still ring true today over 30 years later.

As for me, I have some photos to download and some TV shows to watch later on.

I'll be back later :)

Happy weekend afternoon, siblings! Yep, straggling in as has apparently become my norm. *hangs head a little* But, with all the crazy around ComicCon on Thursday and then yesterday being grant report day, it just plum kicked my tail. But, I'm here now and you know I love y'all more than my luggage, so I'm figuring you'll forgive me. *blushes*

ComicCon2012 Well, what else can be said but WOW!!! I mean, it was pretty epic. First and foremost, I was sooooooooooo happy to see our happy family, AND to get DaddyWard and his babygirl together. Of course, Rob was his giddy, goofy, hot self the entire day. Plus, it was so awesome to see the whole clan with their creator. The whole thing was just downright cool. As you know, my girlfriend who I call Twin was there. She's promised me all the good dirt and wonderful third-row-center pics as soon as she gets home, which should be Sunday. But, she did tell me that she's absolutely positive that I will LOVE both clips.

Lynne~ Looking forward to reading it! Hopefully I get a chance today or tomorrow. I hadn’t thought of the “visual valentine” being a part of Bella raising her shield for Edward, but now that you mention it, that makes a lot of sense, and would be quite cool. Hopefully, you’ve been able to dig in fully to the joy that was ComicConThursday.

Sean~ Yes, there are definite risks to too much downtime at work. But, at least it sounds like folks were happily engaged rather than miserable. As soon as I saw Kris at CC12, I knew you were going to be all over her look. I honestly loved the fact that she wore cool hightops with that mini and tshirt. Bottom line; she looked gorgeous, comfy and low maintenance but still hot. Yes, Rob was DEFINITELY checking her out and much more than once. Can you blame the man?!

Brenda~ Damn, woman! You know the weakness I have for his eyes!

Tracy~ Noticed those biceps, did you? Yep, me too! Given Rob’s continual discussions of the ode to fans during ComicCon, there’s been a lot of discussion around the interwebs on what it is. I personally have no idea, but I can’t wait to find out. Right now, Cosmopolis is scheduled for limited (read LA/NY) release on August 17th, trickling into other markets over the next few weeks. I’m praying, hoping and willing to sacrifice limbs for it to come anywhere near Indy. Yes, there actually was mention of Gisela prior to the fan panel, as well as a ribbon sported by fans and some of the actors, and even SM herself (which I thought was so sweet). I hope you got to go back and watch the vids because, even with the very short interview, they were flipping hysterical with Josh.

Marielle~ No worries, hon. I think Toby would actually be pretty keen on being one to bring you to country from metal… Myself, I’ve got everything on my iPod from Toby and Garth to Muse and Metallica and loads in between. It’s good to be well-rounded, you know. Ah, but see, that’s why the halo works; because the horns hold it up so well. Yes, I can see yoga being a challenge with your aches and pains. But, if introduced slowly, sometimes it can help with that kind of body pain. I don’t do yoga, but I do regular stretching to keep my muscles and ligaments loose, which can often be the source of those aches and pains… well, I try to at least. Yes, CC12 was epic in so many ways. There were so many great moments, both in the press conference and in the panel. I don’t know that I’d say the first time they’ve been at CC together. CC09 happened just after most people think they really became “a couple” and the kind of unresolved tension between them was just fabulous. And, of course, last year all ANYONE could talk about was the wedding and the wedding night, so they were really amused by that I think.

Raine~ I’m so glad you got to join us for a bit of discussion on all the yummy on Thursday!

Ginnie~ Hey, sweets! It’s just good to see your green again. Sorry the 7-Monster ate your post. Hopefully we’ll get to see you again soon. *hugs*

Tonise~ Wow, you do have a full couple of days, don’t you? Well, I’ll be sending my good thoughts for the success of the bake/yard sale, and for the outcome of your mom’s tests. I don’t know about that… did you see this interview Rob gave? First, I think there’s likely a Summit exec or two that would like to have a conversation with him. But, it sounds like at least a bit of a kitten with which we are familiar has been let out of the bag, don’t you think?

Hmmm, given my prolonged absence, and the fact that I've used up my 7 links, I think I'll have to do a quick double, just to make sure y'all didn't miss any of the loveliness... *sorry Kayla, but I know you'll forgive me... I mean... LOOK AT HIM!!*

Yeah, there was just too much yumminess to not post a few more pictures.

THANK THE GODS, Rob has rediscovered the buttonflys!!!

Looks like the official photogs have gotten smart and gone straight to B&W.

There was LOTS of silliness during the panel, and poor McKenzie was front row center.

Rob was strutting his stuff like the pro he is.

Rob's laugh is like angel's singing, and we heard it A LOT on Thursday!

But, he was also very thoughtful about things.. well... at least some answers. Umm, and... yeah... the biceps... just.. :swoon:

But the absolute highlight of the whole day for me came very early. Rob explained to FanboyJosh why all of the kissing awards are mostly for Kristen. He's just a receiver, you see, and she does all the work. He just makes his kissyface. :rotfl: (no, the edit isn't mine. I totally stole if off of FB. But it's still freaking hysterical!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Morning all!

We had a lovely three course meal last night. We started off with a pumpkin soup, then went on to filet mignon, before winding up with my MIL's speciality: black forest cake. Yum!

I'm not happy with what Rob said about the end of BD Pt 2 in the link to that interview that Caryn posted. I presume it must be some kind of vision if everyone's dying, but surely that would have been clear in the script! I will not be happy if there is any sort of battle in real time.

I also was interested to hear in the panel that they had filmed the dog bowl scene for BD Pt 1, but it didn't make it into the movie. I wonder when we'll get to see it.

Caryn - yeah, as soon as they started to talk about the visual valentine, the first thing I thought of was of Bella raising her shield so that Edward can read her mind. It seems logical that it would be that.

Happy 2nd lexiversary to ME!!!! :D
(I know it says my join date was in March, 2010. I didn't start posting until July 14th, so I just always count today as my Lexiversary).

Hey, y'all! I just wanted to stop by here on the Lex and give a drive by hello. Even though I always talk to everyone on Facebook, it's still been so rude of me to abandon the Lex for so long.

Hi Everyone!

Sorry I've been gone so much lately!!

I really miss you all and constantly dwell upon the fact that I'm neglecting you, but my schedule has gone like this: teach my class, prepare for the next day, go home, drive Sonny to circus, do errands while waiting for him to finish, come home and make dinner, eat a leisurely dinner on the deck with family and then clean up and watch a 30Rock episode or Downton Abby with my big kids and then go to bed. I don't want to neglect them since Daughter Dear is leaving on August 15 and Sonny goes back to college in September.

Love all I'm seeing and hearing from Comic Con - the whole casts seems so happy about the film, and Robsten - what can I say? They just don't have to hide it anymore. *sigh* I saw an ad for Ellen's Monday show saying she's having the Twilight cast on. Isn't it a little early for this? Are they going to hype this movie even more than the others? Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining! Too bad I have to drive Sonny to circus during that time. I'll have to catch it later online.

I don't think I'll be able to catch up on all the posts, although I've skimmed them all.
I'll do my best to get to the highlights now:

Chrissy - HAPPY LEXIVERSARY!! It's great to see you back here.

Caryn - I think you outdid even yourself with all that RobCrack. Very lovely indeed. I loved seeing your conversation over on fb during the Comic Con!

Marielle - I've been worried about you! I'm sorry I didn't send you a message. I really wanted to write as soon as you said you were having such a hard time, but I didn't have the time needed to write a well-thought out message. As it is all I can say is that I'm very concerned about you and that it sounds like you shouldn't buy a house that needs a lot of work. I think it will be too stressful for you. I know what you're feeling is very scary and that you probably feel like no one else ever feels that way, but it isn't uncommon at all. More and more people are experiencing anxiety symptoms it seems and perhaps it is our modern lifestyle. Heck, it could even be something in the environment causing it. Could it be a side effect from one of your heart medications? My dad has had a couple of things happen that were side effects (not from heart meds, but from other meds). Keep us informed, OK?

Lynne - That dinner menu sounds delicious! I love filet mignon. I'm a real "beef" person. I could never be a vegetarian. Good for you, posting the first part of your fanfic! I just want you to know that I don't get around to much fanfic because I have to always try to reduce the number of hours on my computer. This is where I'm different from most of the other gals. I felt really out of it in Chicago when they were all talking fanfics. I have resolved to try to remedy that in the near future, but I'll have to wait until the fall.

Sean - It's a shame that the library doesn't have enough work for you! There's nothing worse than having to sit there with nothing to do. I hope they get their act together. Sorry you got sick at work. Was it from your sinus headache?

Tonise
- You are such a busy bee with all of your admirable activities. I guess it mostly keeps you out of trouble, right? I'm praying that your mama's surgery does NOT get scheduled during your beach trip. How's Chapter 3 coming? Regarding your earlier comment about not knowing if something (God forbid) happened to one of us. I've had the same feeling, especially back before we knew addresses and phone numbers. I have the emergency contact list from the HHCON, perhaps I could make a copy for you and then the two of us would have that at least. Of course we will NEVER have the occasion to need such a thing, right? I think it is so cool that we think alike, that the same thing even crossed our minds.

Ginnie
- As I said on facebook - Not very good customer service at all, Windows! That is terrible. I can't wait to hear about how your job is going. I guess I don't know much about it at all.

Christina - Oh No! I'm so sorry to hear that your beautiful car got water damage! Was that from being parked at the airport or was that after you got back? What a pain to settle all of that insurance stuff. I'd love to see a collage of all of the pics you had taken with each of us individually at HHCON before we left.

Brenda - Thanks for the special Susie Robcrack. How kind of you! I love that you are making regular posts now. You're doing a heck of a lot better than I am. I'm glad things are going well for you and that your niece will have a chance to turn her life around. Glad you got my check. ( put money in Coffee Can labeled, "Future HHCON Trips". 8-)

Tracy - I was very impressed to hear that you were painting your son's room! You're so handy! What color? Regarding the "visual valentine" I'm really curious about this too! I was thinking it might be like what was done during Bella's transformation when we get to see scenes from all the movies. I think I'll be a puddle on the floor when that scene comes on. Hopefully I'll have my sisters near me and we can cry into each other's arms. Thanks for that Robcrack you posted especially for me earlier! drool.....

Raine - You certainly show a high level of devotion sacrificing quality sleep hours on a work night to watch Comic Con. How did you get through the day at work?

Amy - Summer is busy for my family too. I totally understand why you can't get online as much as you can during the school year. It's sounds like you're having lots of fun with your kids and husband.

Suzan - Wow. That's really sad that your mom isn't speaking to her father anymore. Does that mean you don't get to see him either? It must put a strain on family gatherings. I guess most families have some sort of drama eventually. Back to your former roommate, you're right, it could be jealousy. It's really too bad though, isn't it? People get jealous of you and mistreat you all because you're happy! Or talented, or smart. I've had one experience where a co-worker sabotaged me all because she was jealous of me. I gave Marielle 5 Euro to give to you - now you have to meet for drinks!

Thanks to those of you who expressed concern over my problems with my SiL and my parents' cabins! Things are a little better now - my parents are getting past it. I'm going to adopt the policy of taking the high road. I'll be going up there next week with my friend Mary and staying in the cabin on the hill. No other family will be up there then, so it will be OK. Mary and I have been staying there nearly every summer for the past 17 years.

Nighty Night!

I have a Raspberry Pie to bake tomorrow morning....

We went to the RACQ (Royal Automobile Club of Queensland) Motorfest today. They had lots of cool cars on display. I mainly tagged along while Hubby and Little Man looked at Lamborghinis, Mercs, BMWs, Jags, etc, etc, etc. At least I got a bit of exercise!

Chrissy - congrats on your second Lexiversary!

Susie - that's a tight schedule! No, I could never be a vegetarian either, I love meat too much. I don't read a lot of fanfic myself, but I find it fascinating to be in Edward's head, so if I'm thinking about what he's thinking, why not write it down?
