Hi again everyone.

Fan fic update: I'm gonna get off line, but only for a while :) I have a few things that I'd like to do before I really get into my fan fic. I'd like to eat some dinner, catch some TV and do some WWII stuff to get some ideas for my fan fic--I have the basic skeleton, but I just need some "stuffing" for filling in the thin parts.

However, this will probably be a pretty fun chapter for me. And yeah, I know that I've said that Guyver is heavily action packed, and we'll be getting to some action soon, but Twilight wasn't all about action, and it worked just fine, didn't it? ;) And the action will be pretty funny/comical to read, too.

I'll be back a little later :)

Hey everyone!

For those of you who don't frequent Facebook, Hubby has done a new headshot for me which is on there, if you want to have a look. Go here to see it.

Good morning everybody.

Would you believe we had snow again!!! Grrrrr… Luckily it wasn’t much and it probably will be gone by the time the sun is fully up but still…

I dyed my hair yesterday. I had my own color for a while already and I got bored.
I’ve got it two colored. Extreme blonde with Chesnutt. It look really nice but I wish I took a bit more hair for the darker color.
Anyway it still looks really cool.

Last night we got some sad news about my bf’s grandma. It looks like she won’t make it. They found a bleeding in her brain and they can’t get it stabilized. They have very small hope that it will stop and that she will recover a bit.
I’m really not up for an other round of mourning and a funeral but I guess you can’t escape it.

Anyway,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRACY!!! I hope you'll have a great day!

Suzan, I hope things slow down soon. We still have a Holland-HH meeting to arrange. I guess it will be March before we can plan that.

Lynne, it’s really strange, from origin Holland is a bikers country. I don’t think there is an other country that is so focused on bikes and bikers safety. Here the kids learn how to ride a bike as soon as they can walk and most of us do everything by bike. However we don’t have that high rate of injuries for bikers. It isn’t more than cars or people who travel by foot. I think that’s because here, no matter the situation the person driving the car, van, truck or motor bike is always guilty if they have an accident with a biker. You have to have a really good case to let a judge rule against the biker.
I saw your new pictures. They look really nice. Must be handy to have a professional as husband.

Sean, I was thinking more the South West. California or something like that. I believe it isn’t as humid there. I really love the dry heat. Sadly we never get that here in Holland.
Perhaps the Canary Islands are something for you. They do have the occasional bad weather but even now they have around 60F and dry weather.

Alright, no more posts to reply to…
I’ll see you all later!!!

Hey all..

Yesterday was stressful with traffic court, which went fine, but I found out I was caught speeding through a school zone with a camera and got another ticket! I'm sure it was just an accident, I just didn't slow down in time but ugh! Oh well..at least hours have picked up this month...just frustrating!

Marielle-sorry to hear about your BFs grandma :( so sad! I love it when I dye my hair..always makes me feel pretty!!

Lynne- loved the new pic :) very nice!! Glad to hear about LM doing better at school!

Hi Susie!!

Brenda- I'm so glad you're doing better! I will have to check out OSC's other books. Enders Gamecwas a required read in high school but I kept going with the series and then picked it back up over the summer.

I'm working for my FIL today since tax season has officially started and hopefully I will get a day to rest on Friday since this week has been pretty stressful!

Hello to anyone I've missed!!

Happy Birthday Lynne and Tracy :)

Marielle: Sorry to hear about your BF's grandma. I lost one grandma immediately after Thanksgiving and we're trying to figure something out about my other grandma as far as a possible medical issue.

As for the places to live, deserts aren't really a good place for me because I can't really tolerate heat, either, even dry heat. However, never being able to experience that, I can't really be a good judge, but we do have occasional dry/low humidity heat in Ohio, and it doesn't feel much different than the normal humid heat. I can only tell you, though, that when we've had heat waves here, it's usually been atrocious.

Some place where it's like 50-70 degrees all year--or at least without such severe temp extremes--would be great. Strangely, I have family who live in Phoenix, and one of my fan fic OC's lives there for much of one story, and I have another who was born in Roswell, NM--which when you consider what is also inspiring a couple of fan fics I'm working on now, that should get one thinking about a connection (the manga and anime Bio-Booster Armor Guyver is inspired by aliens/alien technology/alien conspiracy to take over the world, and Roswell is at the center of a common alien/UFO conspiracy)

Everyone: Sorry I didn't get around to the fan fic stuff last night, but with it being warmer today and me being awake, I should be able to get a start on it today/tonight.

I'm also gonna try and have a fried chicken dinner tonight before I go to bed--and, hopefully very soon, I won't need the electric blanket as much as I've needed it though out most of winter so far.

Other than that, I don't really have much news, aside from the improving weather, which that is posing a minor issue right now--glare on the laptop screen because of a Ford Bronco parked in our back yard and the low sun angle. And there's no provision right now for mounting a curtain on the back door's window to cut down on it. However, that won't be much of a problem in an hour or two, and by the time I start writing, it won't be an issue at all.

I have work tomorrow and Friday, but then I'm free for the weekend.

I'll be back later :)

Happy birthday, Tracy!

Yes, here it is my birthday. Hubby and Little Man gave me some Hugo Boss perfume this morning. I will wear it when Hubby and I go out to dinner tonight!

I've got a fairly quiet day today, which is good. I'm trying to pre-empt my publisher by doing rewrites on the third book in my series, The Truth, before she's even seen it!

marielle - I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma. Yes, it is handy to have a photographer for a husband. Yeah, I don't know if Aussie cyclists are just more reckless or what it is. Whatever the reason, you have to wear a helmet on a bike over here.

Sarah - I'm glad traffic court went okay. And you got another ticket??? Oh dear! Yes, Little Man is doing better this week.

Sean
- thanks for the birthday wishes!

I'm gonna log off for a while--but I won't try to do what I tried last night. Actually, I'll get to work on my fan fic shortly after the couple of things I want to watch go off. While I'm working on it, I'll think about thawing my chicken and get to work on that after I'm done writing. Then it'll be off to reading in bed and sleeping. At least the weather will be more "charming" tomorrow. I know that 40 degrees isn't something that'd make most people happy, but here, that's about 10-15 degrees warmer than it has been most of the past 3 weeks or so.

So I'll try and get a start on my fan fic a little later.

Hello everyone~

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I had a great day and enjoyed receiving many good wishes from coworkers and patients today, as well as from friends and family in person, or via text, phone, Facebook, and here on the Lex. Hubs and the kids had flowers waiting for me at home after choir tonight, and I also received several gift cards to a couple of my favorite stores, and a local day spa. Speaking of day spas....I'm finally using the gift card from my last birthday to receive an eighty minute Swedish massage tomorrow! My daughter is having four girlfriends here for a sleepover Friday night to celebrate her birthday, and we'll go out for a relaxing family dinner Saturday night.

Can you believe we're on page 191 of this thread, "Rob's Halfway House #11?! I wonder if we'll "move" to a new thread at page 200, as usual?

Sean~ How did the writing come along tonight? I'm glad you're enjoying warmer temps tonight as I know you aren't too fond of the cold. Do you still need to tend the wood stove in slightly warmer temperatures?

Brenda~ I'm glad to hear the counseling continues to go well. Good for you for getting enough sleep! I'm terrible about that, and stay up way too late during the work and school week. I'm thinking of giving up staying up late for Lent....which would seriously be more difficult for me than giving up dessert for 40 days last fall.

Lynne~ I'm so glad LittleMan seems to be adjusting to school and know that must be a relief for you. The head shot you husband took was quite lovely. I know I must have missed something a few pages ago, but where do we go to order your book? Happy Birthday to you too! Did you enjoy your Birthday Dinner?

Sarah~ I'm glad to hear traffic court went well, but sorry to hear you had received a ticket. I received a ticket many years ago for speeding through a school zone too ....I was probably zoned out listening to the radio and not as aware of my surroundings as I should have been.

Marielle~ Your hair color sounds quite lovely....any chance you could post a pic? I'm sorry to hear about your bf's grandmother? Are they very close?

Susie~ Are you enjoying using your new phone? Congratulations on making your first post from your "mobile device". :D

Hello to Tammy, Susan, Songbird, Desiree, Ginnie, Jaclyn, and anyone else I've missed.
