Hey there!

It's school holidays now, and yesterday Little Man and I went to a place called Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. If any of you came to see me in Australia I'd probably take you there (unless you insisted on Australia Zoo!). It's great fun. I've been going since I was a kid. There are loads of Australian animals to see and experience.

Tonight I'm going to something called Books in our Backyard. It's a special celebration for all new authors in the state of Queensland (where I live) who had books released in the previous calendar year. The best part is The Heir and The Crown will be on display at the state library for a while. Hopefully it will generate some interest.

Hello all!

Nice weekend filled with lots of socialization, which was a nice change! I got to finally go see The Fault in Our Stars, which was simply brilliant! Extremely well done and of course, I cried :) I brought tissues though (thanks for the reminder, Lynne!) and we went and got some great ice cream afterward.

Today I bought a kiddie pool and gave it to my parents for their puppy, my Mom couldn't fit it in her car :) He loves it! It's supposed to be in the 80s tomorrow so I thought the little guy would like one. Rolph associates water with baths so he's not a fan of it, otherwise I would've bought him one too :)

Lynne-that signing sounds like work! I'm glad you made some sales though. I saw your Koala pictures, they're so cute! Is the Australia Zoo where Steve Irwin worked until he died? I know he had a zoo somewhere, shows how much I know about Australian geography!

Hi everyone.

Big thing today is that me and my brother are trying to get out and get my money out of the bank so I can go grocery shopping and pay off a fine at the library. I'm supposed to get a call when my brother gets off work so I can get ready to do this stuff.

Other than that, I don't have much planned today. I might work on fan fic later tonight after things cool off, and I'll for sure be doing dishes later tonight, too. I might have a couple of videos to post later on, too.

But right now, I'm waiting to hear if I'll be going shopping today.

I'll be back later :)

Morning all!

I'm working for our business this morning so Little Man is going to spend some time with his grandparents. It's quite cold here this morning (for Brisbane!) so I'm dreading going to walk the dog which I'm going to do soon.

Sarah - glad you enjoyed Fault in our Stars! Yes, Australia Zoo is where Steve Irwin worked. His father founded it. It's about an hour's drive from where we are.

Hi everyone.

This is my last at work until next week. Then I'll start getting more hours at work starting next week. Today weather wise for me has been the first decent day since last week.

My kittens are healthy and I'll be resting up the next few day and trying to get back into the swing of gaming and fan fic writing.

I'll be back later :)

Hey there!

Little Man is, at this moment, chucking a barney on the couch. I'm really getting fed up, but I'm trying to leave Daddy to handle it, as he is the one interacting with him. *sigh*

I'm doing some work for Rochelle today. Hopefully I'll get a lot done and Little Man can play with her kids.

Hi everyone.

Sorry for the late posting, but I was up all morning after my brother went to work, and I stayed up way too long and only got up about an hour ago.

Aside from that, everything's OK and I'll probably be making some sandwich wraps tonight for dinner. I'm also hoping to do a bit of gaming and such and try go get to sleep at a more respectable time. At least the weather is much better. Much cooler at least and at night it should be good sleeping weather.

So that will hopefully be what I'll be up to soon.

I'll be back later :)

Hi all! We are celebrating great report cards and new class lists for next year. Bug got a slightly less amazing report card than last time, but still great (last time she had all "excellent" scores and this time she got 2 "above averages" and the rest "excellent"), and MM improved so much. He went from poor to above average in vocabulary, he went from average to excellent in spelling, and his writing is now finally satisfactory, thanks to physical therapy. MM will have the same teachers next year. There were 2 first grade classes this year and next year there's only 1, so they needed to move some teachers. So he will be with the same teachers he had this year, which is nice because they know him and I don't have to explain all the emotional issues to them, just keep them informed about his Psychology sessions, etc. And they pulled 2 boys that were in his class this year apart for next year, which is fantastic, because those 2 boys are toxic when together and I think the class will be a lot less chaotic without the one boy in it, and another little boy who was apparently also kind of a problem is being held back. So 2 major contributors to the chaos will be in other classes, and the little girl he gets along with so well will be in his class next year, so I think that will be good for him. Bug has a really good teacher for next year who she really likes and most of her best friends are in her class for next year. We're happy. So we're having dessert day for dinner!!

Lynne
, I spent all day yesterday reading the blurbs from your website and discussions on goodreads. So much fun! I hadn't seen all the scenes from Keridan's POV. I had seen the one from after art class and the one in her room, but not the others, so those were fascinating!! Is there any chance you'll be doing similar things for the The Crown and The Reign?

Sean
, about your question regarding citizenship. Not necessarily. Not every country has the deal where they get citizenship if they are born there. Some countries also make you choose at some point. And that's IF the baby is registered. But, given the fact that most Vampires are not in society with humans, I doubt that Jennifer would have any citizenship at all. Think about Edward and Bella with Renesmee...they hardly registered her birth through vital records. Bella has to get false documents for her so she could flee with Jacob if she needed to. But Jennifer would have no need to do that as they don't mix in regular society...she probably has no birth or death records, and no actual citizenship. Should she need to fabricate documents for some reason, she would just have to choose the country from which she wanted the documents to be.

Sarah, yeah I looked up that book after you mentioned it...yuck. Seems like most people agreed with you, too.
Great that you got to see TFiOS. I want to see it, but not until it's on DVD so when I go into the ugly cry there are no witnesses.

Hi everyone.

I'm not feeling so well this morning. I think that I overate before I went to bed, plus I only got about 6 hours of sleep before I got up this morning. I might take a nap before too much longer, after my grandma gets up, I get her meds and breakfast and her settled in. I just feel really groggy and stiff this morning.

I hope to catch a NASCAR race tonight and I seriously hope that I feel better than I do right now.

Happy 4th of July everyone :)

Songbird: I asked mostly about character development in my fan fic (Jennifer, remember, is only mentioned in text in Breaking Dawn and she were referred to as Jennifer when the Twilight Guide came out), mostly because (spoilers) she lived in England for a while before moving permanently to Forks with a couple of my OCs. She could also freely and truthfully register herself in society as a vampire hybrid when some events happen in my story as well. Of course, she did have to chose a last and middle name for herself... ;)

I'll be back later :)

Morning all!

Hubby took the day off yesterday so we went to a place called Ravesnbourne National Park. There are photos on Facebook is you want to have a look. It's about two hours' drive from here. We went on a bushwalk through a rainforest, then had lunch and played soccer at a lookout. Then we went to a rose nursery that's near there. They specialise in developing roses that do well in Queensland, where things like blackspot are a huge problem, not to mention the fact that many roses burn in our hot weather. Apparently these ones do quite well and their roses smell divine. I'll plant them later today.

Susan - I'm glad to hear that the report cards were good and that the kids are looking on track for next year! I loved your questions about The Reign. I didn't realise how long Hajitis' back story was until I started writing it. I might have to put it on my website too, as it seems that everybody loves him. I don't think I'll be doing Keridan's POV stuff for The Crown or The Reign. I'm supposed to be writing new books, so I'd better get on and do it! :)
