<drags self in, collapses>

We've done 9 cleans in 2 days, we typically do 6 in that time period. My boss wasn't kidding when she said she was loading up the schedule! I think after tomorrow the schedule evens out to a more normal work load which is a relief :) I'm looking forward to the weekend though, where I should have some down time, not to mention Easter. It's typically a day where we don't go to church just to avoid the crowds, but we'll be having lunch with Jason's family at least.

Lynne-how'd your hot cross buns go? Are those sweet or just like normal bread? I hadn't thought about making a themed/traditional dessert for Easter dinner! Were you able to get The Reign uploaded to Amazon?

Hi everyone.

I hope for a warm up soon, because I know that I felt a lot better until this cold crap came back.

I'll try and work on fan fic and do some stuff on a PC game later on, as well as try and do a few other things as well.

Outside of that, I don't really have too much to report on. I did sleep in last night because of it being cold and miserable. I still wasn't feeling all that good, either, though at least physically I feel better.

EDIT: I just found out that I have $110 on my food assistance card. So I'll be going out to shop later today :)

I'll be back later :)

Hey there!

Today Little Man and I are off to one of those play places with a friend of his from school. I get on really well with his mother and I'm looking forward to spending the morning chatting with her.

This afternoon some friends of Hubby's are up from Melbourne and we are having them over for dinner. I've made two pizza bases which we will make up into pizzas and I'll do some garlic bread in the breadmaker for our dinner.

Sarah - that's a lot of cleaning! No, this time the hot cross buns didn't work quite so well. The breadmaker seemed to have a problem in the mixing and didn't mix it all properly, which meant there was a portion of the dough that didn't rise. Oh well, they're still edible, although some of them are a bit rubbery. Yes, The Reign is finally up on kindle!

Hi everyone.

Nothing much going on. I got up at 8:30 and made grandma breakfast and such.

I did work a little bit on fan fic last night. Not much, but at least my current chapter is almost done.

I plan on working on it more and catching F1 practice tonight. But other than that, I don't have too much going on. At least yesterday I bought some stuff--fruit juices, coffee stuff, some breakfast sausage and other stuff.

I'll be back later :)

Hi siblings!
I'm so so sorry. I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off! Finally got all Bug's cavities filled, got her birthday invitations done, though still not mailed. Last weekend...no, 2 weekends ago, we had a performance for choir at a home for severely mentally handicapped people. It was so much fun. They are so receptive and appreciative of the music so it's a real party atmosphere and very laid back. Then this past weekend hubs turned 40 so we were gone for the weekend and it was SOO packed with stuff to do that I need a vacation to recover from the vacation. Swimming every day, bowling, mini-golf, jungle dome, etc. Plus I had a nasty cold and was already tired from that and what I really needed was down time, not running all over with the kids. But, it's over and I'm slowly getting back to myself. Tomorrow is the Easter breakfast at school, so I have to go early to peel fruit, etc. Good news: MM gets to move on to the last pool for swimming in May! So so happy that it's going well. He's loving it, too. But between his swimming lessons, physical therapy, Bug's dentist appointments, and all my stuff for choir and for the school parents board, I've had something to do almost every day the last few weeks. This weekend is the beginning of the May vacation so the kids will be home for 2 weeks. I'm hoping to get some cleaning done, but that's always tricky with kids under foot. And now I have a new book to read for my author friend that may or may not be REALLY hard for me. She says it's more disturbing than some of them I've read, but there was one she wrote that she really didn't think I'd be able to handle and it was no problem...a completely different kind of "disturbing" than the kind I have problems with. I have a hard time with suspense and gore...like a serial killer. But stuff like trauma, while it's devastating, it doesn't give me the nightmares that thrillers do. So I'm going to try to read this one, not knowing in which way it will be disturbing. She does disturbing very well, though. So that's pretty much what's up with me. Busy!!!!

Lynne, I hope you were able to get the books up on Amazon. Is there a link to pre-order from light the dark or whatever the name of the company was that I ordered from the last 2 times?
I love the mountains...a picnic in the mountains is one of life's simple pleasures...I really miss that. Where I went to college, we were only about 30 minutes or so from Lake Marie up in the Snowy Range and my friends and I would go up and "meet a tree" (basically just enjoy the quiet and serenity) and we might grab some chicken, or burgers and go up to the lake and just sit. We also had a day retreat at the lodge up there every year for the audition only choir and we would go outside and sing in the forest...it was so amazing. There was also a natural rock climbing area in the other direction from the University called Veedauwoo (pronounced vee-duh-voo) where we spent many a holiday having barbecues and climbing over boulders. I miss the rugged nature of Wyoming...we don't have that here.

Susie, I'm so glad you stopped in! No, we haven't had an appointment with the child psychologist yet...we're on a waiting list. I hope it doesn't take long. MM fell on the playground at school today and worked himself up into such hysterics that he didn't even remember why he was crying, just that he needed to cry. (I happened to be at the school getting stuff ready for the easter breakfast for tomorrow) So I'm really hoping we get in sooner rather than later...we all need help!
Glad your friends are receptive of the book. Are you getting positive feedback from agents/publishers?

Sarah, if you love cleaning, you are welcome to come do my house! It's really hard for me to do anything if the kids are home because you start picking up their stuff and they get more out. Maybe we'll get some nice-ish weather and I can kick them outside in the vacation.
When is your trip again?

Sean, sounds like you are at least getting some decent sleep. Is the headache from sleeping too deeply? I get that sometimes...it's almost like a hangover, I guess, though I have never had a hangover so I don't know. But it's a throbbing headache where your head feels like it's stuffed full of cotton.

Morning all!

it's Good Friday here, so that means it's a public holiday. I have hot cross buns rising in the breadmaker and we'll be off to church in a few hours. Yesterday Little Man enjoyed his time at We Play, but the friends we were supposed to have over yesterday afternoon didn't get here until after six! At least they were able to have our nice dinner of homemade pizza and garlic bread. It was good to catch up with them, even if they didn't stay for as long as we'd hoped.

Susan - my, you have been a busy girl! So much going on! I'm glad your concert went well and I'm sure it was well received. Yes, The Reign is now up on Amazon in both Kindle and paperback forms, but if you want to buy the paperback, you can get it from my publisher here. She's selling The Reign for $17.95 plus $2.00 postage to anywhere in the world, or you can buy the entire trilogy, plus a new Verindon trilogy t-shirt (different from the old t-shirts) and have the whole pack sent to anywhere in the world for $55.00. Just click on the link I provided and you can buy either! :)

Boy I was wrong. Yesterday was another marathon, a ten hour day. The longest day we've ever had! My boss hired someone new and I'm so glad she found someone that seems to be a good fit for the business. If all the paperwork clears, she'll start Monday so my boss will have help when I leave Tuesday! I'm getting so excited but there's so much to do before we leave! Getting packed, making sure we have everything and trying to get my house in order!

Song-Strangely, I love cleaning everyone else's house BUT mine. It really, really needs it too!

Sorry for the scattered post but I'm tired and really should get some sleep. Jason gets tomorrow off since it's Good Friday and he works for a Christian ministry but I still have to work :)

Hi everyone.

I did work on some fan fic last night, but not much, though I'm now almost finished with the chapter.

I mostly watched F1 practice last night and that was it. I did get a new pillow, and it worked amazingly well teamed with my old one. Really helps when I want to sit up in bed or lay on my side.

I'll be watching F1 qualifying tonight, and at Silverstone, Audi and Porsche have demonstrated two different ways to going equally as fast. Audi are insanely fast in the corners, while Porsche has the straightline speed. But if it rains (and the forecasts suggest this), Audi will likely have the edge due to their downforce package.

No NASCAR race this weekend, but there will be the WEC race I mentioned. And I hope to work on some fan fic, including starting a new chapter, too.

I'll be back later :)

Hey there!

We had a good day yesterday. Church was great and the hot cross buns came out really well. Rochelle and her family came over and helped us devour them. Then we did very little for the rest of the day, which was fine by me. I even had a nap.

Today's going to be quiet too. I have cleaning to do this morning and then I have to buy some fruit and veggies. Hubby needs to get me an Easter egg so he and Little Man will come with me and go and do that while I get the fruit and veggies then we'll do ... nothing, I guess. Tomorrow will be a bit busier. We've got church in the morning then a visit to my in-laws' in the afternoon.

Sarah
- at least you got through the day. :) Hope the packing goes well.

Hi everyone.

Got insanely tired around midnight last night, so after F1 qualifying, I went to sleep. So that means I didn't work on fan fic last night.

I'll try and work on it tonight if I get the chance, but there's the actual F1 race on tonight and I'll be busy with a few things today. So it might not be until Sunday night that I'll work on it.

Other than that, things have been fine. I'll be up and about probably until one of my brothers gets up.

I'll be back later :)
