Morning all!

I'm working for Rochelle again this morning, and I just have to hope that she has enough money to pay me today. Things are a bit tight.

We had friends over yesterday. I haven't seen them for a while, and they were very excited to hear about my book. They're all invited to the book launch. Of course, you are too, but something tells me none of you will be able to come!

Hi everyone.

I've had a dinner of onion rings, hush puppies and some blueberry pie. This weekend was pretty much a huge success overall. And tomorrow, I'll be going to Golden Corral with my brother after work.

I'll probably be headed to bed fairly soon, after I catch up on a few things, namely the mailing things that I wanted to work on. And I also have one or two more fun things to do before I call it an early night tonight.

I'll be back later :)

Hi Everyone!

Still no news on the job front for hubs. These things take time. Marielle asked about phone interviews - they are common for technical positions. They check to make sure you really do have the kind of technical experience you put on your resume. It's to save everyone's time if the candidate isn't all he's cracked up to be. Companies in the get hundreds, if not thousands of resumes. Hubs hasn't heard back about the result of the phone interview yet. He usually comes across well - he has excellent communication skills.

Sorry I can't respond to you individually. Still, it's better to make an appearance than not, right?

We're expecting 3-5 inches of snow tonight into tomorrow morning and then high winds in the afternoon which will blow it around. Fun!

Only one more week of teaching and then it's Spring Break! We are planning to go to Buenos Aires to visit Daughter Dear. The flight we wanted is getting full - probably Pope related. It's just too coincidental. Argentina is on everyone's radar all of a sudden. Wish us luck getting there. I haven't seen my little darling daughter since August 15. (she's 22 years old)

I hope to check in later in the week. I have still been writing whenever I can get a block of time on the laptop.

Have a great week, everyone!

Good morning everybody!!!

While I hate that it is Monday I can't seem to get the smile of my face... I'm still totally stuck on a pink cloud...(which is good it helps me through the last hard weeks of winter...)

I have reason to believe that my bos will be away until wednesday so it will be a easy two days for me.. which is also really good because I can't seem to keep my mind focused on one thought for too long.

Rob news... I saw on Robsessed that Rob has apperantly been linked to another movie. I believed it's called Posh... they say they are in early stages of talks with Rob. They want him in it and send him the script. but more excitingly also linked to that movie are Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), Douglas Booth (Noah), and Max Irons (The Host) !!!
Now it's easy to say that a movie like that is going to be murder...

anyway,

Sean, did you see the F1? I saw the race on a german channel... I wasn't too happy with the results. Though I could live with a win for Raikonnen when it keeps Vettel from winning...

Lynne, I would love to come to your book launch. If I had no money issues I would have been there in a heart beat... (I really need to win the lottery)... sadly that are only dreams... But I'll be there in spirit...

Susie, I'm sorry your hubs hasn't heard anything yet... I'll keep my fingers crossed for him...
I hope you drop in before your trip to your daughter. I wish you lots of fun there... It will be great.

Alright, that's it for now... (we need people back here)...
I'll see you all later!!

Hey everyone!

The party went smoothly (thank God I had help with the food! That totally saved the day!) and I'm relieved it's over! Then I went to watch BD2 with my best friend..I actually watched the Carlisle beheading scene-ack! Still hard to watch..I couldn't watch Jasper's death though.

I'm hoping today to get caught up with homework and housework :) back to the grind now that everything is settling down!

Marielle- ah okay :) sounds like you had a great time this weekend! I felt the same way when I met one of the guys from Hanson 2 years ago (yes they're still around and no, I didn't like them back in 1997 with Mmmbop haha!) even though I was happily dating Jason at the time!!

Susie-Hi good to see ya!!! I really hope hubs finds a job soon! That has to be frustrating :( good luck getting your flight!

Lynne- hopefully Rochelle has been able to pay you! Wish I could be there for the book launch..Australia is on my bucket list!

Hi siblings!
I'm sorry I've been so distant. I've been re-reading HP, which always grabs me and I have a hard time putting it down, plus I've been sick this last week, so I've been sleeping as much as I can so I get better faster. I feel much better today...I might even be able to do my workout again tomorrow.

Not much news...the kids got their report cards. Bug is doing AWESOME. She scored in the top 20% of kids in the Netherlands for math and spelling on the standardized tests. They don't test them yet at this age for reading on the standardized test, but she's still reading more than a year above her age group. They are going to see about switching her to the other 1st grade class for reading because they have a few kids in the advanced book, whereas she's the only one in her class. And the other class is smaller, so she'd have more one on one instruction so hopefully she can advance even more. She's ahead, but hasn't really progressed since the last report, so they want to see if interaction with others helps her get more out of it. MM is not thriving in his class, but I think it's more to do with boredom. The teacher said he knows his letters and can sound words out, he scored really well on the standardized test, but he is easily distracted in class, especially when he is supposed to be doing artwork. Well, duh....what 5 year old boy wants to sit and cut, color, and glue stuff when he could be doing much more difficult work, or be playing outside, or something? Give him a puzzle or a board game and he can sit for hours. But even at home, he'll ask me for a coloring page because Bug just asked for one, I print one off, and he gives it to Bug to color for him. He likes the pictures and doesn't want to be left out, but has no patience for actually coloring them himself. He'd rather play chess. But Bug's teachers last year said the same about her...she doesn't concentrate, she gets distracted, would rather talk to the other kids than do her work...and now she's in the top 20 percent in the nation, now that she's actually doing real school work rather than the trivial cut and paste stuff. So I'm not worried. I know he can do SO much more than they know about. He's reading simple books, he is a math whiz....so I think once he gets to actually LEARN stuff next year, his concentration will improve a hundred fold. They said he's enthusiastic about learning, loves to learn new stuff....it's just the artwork he has no time for. The only thing is that he has to get screened for his motor skills because his writing is shaky. We'll see how that pans out.

Susie, I hope you get your flight! When does Daughter dear get home?

Sarah, I think I missed something...what party was this? Glad it went well!

Sean, yay for getting paid! Is there a reason you are taking your brother out? Is it his birthday?

Marielle, I saw a couple of pictures...you must be so happy to have gotten your fix! The weather here today was great and it actually felt like spring! How was it over there?

Lynne, I hope you can get paid!! That must be a bit nerve wracking to know you might not be! Is it at least going better with your photography business?

Jenn Jenn, so good to see you back here! Thanks for stopping by!

Morning all!

I'm feeling a little down this morning. I'm working so hard I'm forgetting to do stuff around the house and I'm tired all the time. I worry that my best efforts won't be enough. I hope they are.

Nothing much happening here today, although I'm going to check if BD 2 is out today. Last time it was out a day early. I hope so!!!!

marielle - I'm glad you're smiling. I really wish you could come too.

Sarah - I'm glad your party went well and I hope you're able to catch up today. Hopefully you will be able to get here one day.

Songbird - I'm glad Bug is doing so well. I hope MM will do better. They should definitely be doing more interesting things in class! Yes, our photography business is going much better at the moment, so at least that's something. One of our competitors is going bust, so a lot of new clients are coming to us from them.

Hi everyone.

Songbird: No reason other than to do something different, now that I have the money to.

Everyone: I got my tax refunds today and I gonna get them cashed tomorrow. I hope that good things come in at least threes--Audi winning Sebring, my refund checks, hopefully my Social Security back pay will be next.

Other than that, I had a pretty good day at work. I didn't make it to Golden Corral today, but I did settle a library fee and with my refund checks, I'll be going there tomorrow.

Again, not much Rob news, though it seems that Rover filming has wrapped either today or yesterday (Australia is almost a full day ahead of us here in the US). Tonight, I'll be watching Top Gear and trying to find something to do for the hour in a half that goes between airings. Then I'll probably be off to bed and resting up for tomorrow.

I'll be back later :)

I just posted this at Facebook, and I thought I'd post it here too:

I bought a DVD today! ;) I watched it this afternoon, and during the final scene when they're in the meadow, I forgot that she was going to lower her shield for Edward (in spite of the fact I've read the book sooooooo many times and seen the movie twice  ), and I was so happy about what he saw that I burst into tears!
