Hi everyone.

I don't feel as horrible as I did last night, though I still feel a bit out of it.

I'm gonna try and look some stuff up this morning and see where my day takes me. I think it's the heat and humidity getting to me. That stuff often doesn't make me feel well. But hopefully my day will go better than yesterday, because I was just spent most of the day.

Songbird: Yep, they got all that stuff fixed, and we have our car back, too.

I'll be back later :)

Hey there!

I'm working for Rochelle today, in spite of the fact she's finding it hard to find the funds to pay me. She needs me to do a few things. She's still saying she's going to pay me my royalties before the end of the financial year. While I'd like that, fortunately, we can get by without it.

Hi everyone.

I do feel a bit better today, but it's also supposed to be stormy today for sure. Nothing too bad here, but they're calling for a derecho in southern Indiana, southern Illinois, southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky today.

I'll be trying to look some stuff up today and figure out what I want to eat for dinner later tonight. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon for my anxiety stuff. But other than that, I don't expect today to be too busy.

I'll be back later :)

Morning all!

I'm off for another session with the kids at the school today. I'm really enjoying this. It's so much better than doing a book signing. I wish I could get more of them.

We're having a bit of a battle with Little Man's school at the moment. They've practically closed down the big library, using only one small room as the library instead. I thought it was just a resource room, but no, it's all they've got now! NOT HAPPY JAN! They say everyone's opting for more online resources, but unless they're going to give every student and ereader and make downloadable books available to them, that's not good enough, in my opinion. What's more, they've done this on the sly. I certainly didn't know about it. So a group of mothers and I are going to fight for more books. I've already spoken to Rochelle about getting some books from her, so hopefully we can make a difference.

Hi everyone!

I always forget how busy life gets when I'm working :) Big change in comparison to last weekend! I'm in the midst of re-reading Eclipse still and have loved being able to listen to BD 1 on my iPod this week. I'm pretty stoked about going back to Forks as well, though they don't have that Twilight themed store anymore :/ Still, it's supposed to be in the mid 60s and I'm routing us through Port Angeles as well. The drive is about 4 hours each way, so it'll be a long day but very fun.

Lynne-I'm sorry that Rochelle can't pay you, how frustrating :/ How is the business doing financially? Is that why she won't publish Christian books anymore?

I'm so glad the school talks are going well, they sound so fun :) I can't believe LM's school is trying to shut down the library! How crazy. Schools here are constantly pushing reading, especially for parents to read to or with their kids at night.

Hi everyone.

I'm getting ready for my doctor's appointment later today. This will probably not result in any changes for my medication, since the stuff I'm on is working petty well.

I'll also be picking up a library book on my way there, about barn owls. Of course, it should be stated that one of my other favorite creatures, the kitteah, (AKA, house cat) is a major predator of barn owls. Some cats are even known as barn cats (outdoor cats that spend most of their time outside in barns and such), and feed on the same rodents as barn owls. Sorta like most of the cats we currently own, since some of them hunt mice and spend much of their time outside when it's warm.

I'll be picking up a pizza on the way home and getting some stuff from Walmart. Other than that, I have the usual planned--looking up stuff, gaming and fan fic if I get a chance to work on it.

I'll be back later :)

Morning all!

My talk at the school went well yesterday. Next Thursday is my last week there. I know I've already sold one set of my books. Hopefully I will sell a few more. The school is also running an ad for me for free and doing a full page interview with me in their newsletter. They are also paying me for what I've been doing, so all in all, it's been a positive experience.

Sarah - yes, work certainly makes you busy! I don't think it's the money thing that's the problem with Rochelle as far as the Christian books go. She just doesn't want her company to be pigeon-holed as 'the Christian fiction company'. She is certainly still doing books with some Christian content. I'm just not sure if I can make my latest manuscript a little less Christian. It is VERY Christian.

Boy, even Sean hasn't been here!

It's Saturday here today, and a long weekend. Today's going to be pretty quiet, but that's probably a good thing. We'll do some baking, but that's about all.

Hi everyone.

I don't have too much planned for today and to be honest, I don't feel very good. I might just do some stuff online and go to sleep after grandma gets up.

Anyways, I found this on a forum I go to and on Deviant Art, and I love it!:

And there was this I found yesterday:

By the way, due to not feeling well, I forgot. We have four new kittens this morning. They were born after I went to sleep. 2 are black and white and 2 are mostly white with black spots on their heads.

Lynne: I was here, but for some reason what I wrote didn't get posted :?

I'll be back later :)

Hi sibs,
I managed to get myself sick and lose my voice. Not fun, though hubs finds it hilarious.
Bug has been working hard on the loom bracelets and she got it into her head to make a headband in the dragonscale pattern, which is fine, but she has it in her head completely backwards. I told her she has to make it really long to go around her head and it will take days...she thinks the part that is supposed to be the width is the length. So she does like...2 inches of length and thinks she's done and that the part that is actually the width will go around her head. When she discovered it won't come close, she decided to attach 2 bracelets to it. But, she didn't pay attention to the video instructions like I told her to and she removed the band from the loom without tying it off and it all came apart and then she blamed ME because she couldn't watch the video and work at the same time. I told her to watch the video FIRST, without trying to do the steps along, THEN go back and rewatch while she was working. She wasn't listening to me and kept saying she couldn't watch the video first because she couldn't remember what the steps were after she watched it and I kept telling her she didn't need to remember them, she'd be watching along, but that she needed to watch once before she did anything because if her eyes were on her loom, she wasn't seeing what she was supposed to be doing. She had already had to start over 6 times because she either forgot steps or bands came off and she'd have to start over. So frustrating, especially since I have no voice and she keeps asking me to explain it to her and I keep telling her it HURTS to talk, I'll help her later but she wants it NOW. I finally told her to leave it, I'll make it for her.
We're heading for a middle ages festival tomorrow. Should be fun.

Lynne, glad the school talks are going well. Have you approached any schools to ask if you can do more of that?
Sorry Rochelle can't pay you. When is the end of the financial year that you would get paid on? I hate worrying about money!

Sarah, Are you on your trip now or when is it?
