Hi everyone.

I have an early start tomorrow, which means that I have plenty go do and not a ton of time to get it all done.

I hope to work on some more fan fic tonight, and make a fried chicken/mashed potato dinner. I also have a few other things that I'd like to try and do.

So my plans: Look up my normal stuff, get that done by about 9:00-10:00, play a VG while I'm thawing my chicken. Make dinner. Get back in here and work on fan fic. I hope to be done in time to get some serious sleep before I have to wake up at about 8:00 tomorrow morning to get ready for work.

Aside from that, it's still hot and humid here. At least those of us here in the mid-west will be getting a big break (hopefully) by Labor Day. According to weather.com, the temp's supposed to really drop by then.

So I have work early tomorrow, so I'll be in a bit of a rush to get some stuff done, but I should be able to get everything done that I'd like to.

I'll be back later :)

Well, my FIL has lost his job. It's a bit of a worry, as I know his memory hasn't been great lately, and we're worried that it's a sign of early Alzheimer's which his mother had. He's 65, so he's not going to try and get another job. My MIL should be able to support the two of them. But it's a bit of a worry. I'm hoping he'll be okay and enjoy his retirement.

That's sad, Lynne..it's hard to watch people lose their functionality. Hopefully he'll like retirement!!

It's pouring buckets here today, crazy...we haven't had much rain all summer (bad for the Cullens ;) ) and it seems like it's making up for it all today!

I put together the cat condo for the cat..it's 52 inches tall and she seems to like it!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Hi everyone.

To say I haven't been up to much today is putting it lightly. When I got home, after checking my blood sugar and getting something to eat, I just went to sleep and I didn't get back up until about a half hour ago.

I haven't felt well all day since I got up yesterday morning. I didn't feel well all day at work, and I still feel like I'm in a fog, like I usually do when I'm about to get a sinus headache.

I'm tired already of the heat and humidity. I almost never feel well when that crap happens. That's probably the big reason why I feel like crap, and have felt like crap off and on all week. It also makes it hard for me to sleep.

So I'll try and do a few things before I shut this down and try and get some more sleep. Today is pay day so hopefully that'll brighten up my mood a bit. But it's hard to be in a really great mood when you fell nothing but yuck and the weather is probably helping one feel that way. At least I only have to put up with it for a couple of more days, then the weather will be great again. I also have a few things that I'd like to try and buy off Amazon when I get my money over the weekend.

I'll be back later :)

We've got to paint more skirting boards around the house today, in preparation for when our new carpet's put in in a few weeks' time. It will be good to get that done!

Rochelle told me yesterday that she's hoping we'll have The Crown in stock by mid-October, so if you pre-order a copy, you might just get it before it's officially released! :)

Sarah - thanks for that. I'm hoping that we're just being alarmist. I'd love it if he could have a nice, long, healthy retirement.

Hi everyone.

I had a pretty good day at work. For one, I didn't feel like crap all day, though the weather still sucks.

I do have some good news. My friend Andrea got promoted at work, and she starts her new job next at the end of Sept. Of course, aside from getting a new co-worker, this doesn't really effect me much. I won't be pursuing Andrea's old job, because I can't really work full time right now and it would be 8-5 Mon-Friday of the same job that at times still give me anxiety.

But the news there isn't all bad. There's a probability that there's an open for a scanning department opening up at where I work. If it opens up there, my boss Renee would like for me to try it, mostly because she thinks it's a better fit for me than what I do now. Provided that it's where I work, I'll probably end up working there if I get hired in to do it. And it'd be an actual part time job where I can work more hours. If that happens, hopefully I'll apply for and get that job.

Aside from that, I haven't been up to too much today, aside from running to the library and Walmart. I did put my money on the debit card, so I can try and buy those books I want this weekend. And hopefully they'll be here soon once I order them.

And my outing for next week isn't set up yet, but I should know soon when it is. Hopefully it'll work out and I can have some fun.

I don't have too many plans for tonight aside from maybe working on fan fic and some VG stuff and watching a few videos. At least this heat crap will be out of here by Monday.

I'll be back later :)

Hi everyone.

I've only been up about a hour now, but I've done a few things and made a few plans for the rest of my day. It's still warm and humid out here, and it feels like it'll storm at any moment.

For all of that, I do have to say that we do sort of need the rain. Even after all the rain in June and July, we haven't had much rain in a month. And it'll break this streak of heat and humidity that's been here all week.

And, unbelievably, I bought 4 bags of Doritios yesterday. Chipolte BBQ, Ranch Buffalo Chicken, and the Locos Tacos Nacho and Ranch. I tried the Ranch Buffalo ones, and they're not really that bad. And I'm not a fan of most variation of buffalo seasoned chicken.

I do plan on enjoying this weekend, since it's a long one. Of course, that means that I'll be working for 4 days in a row next week. But at least the weather will be pleasant, and I'll be able to go out on an outing with some friends next week. I hope to find out more on Monday or Tuesday.

I'll be back later :)

It's Fathers' Day here in Australia today. Little Man woke us up early (as usual), eager to give Daddy his presents. For church this morning we're all going to a park to have brunch, which should be fun, then we're going to my parents' place in the afternoon. I'm going to get Hubby to take a photo of me, my dad and Little Man for an article I'm going to write about three generations of writers. It's for promo for The Crown.

How exciting about The Crown!! :)

I hope so too...I've been encouraging my parents to take better care of themselves..they're not close to retirement age yet but this is when they need to start doing better!

Happy Father's Day, Lynne :) I'd like to read that article when you're done!

Quiet weekend for me, just trying to get caught up on sleep and relaxing :)

Hi everyone.

Checking out the FIA WEC race, and it's not even a fight. Audi was firmly in control, and even more so now. After 10 laps, the leading Audi had a 10 second lead over the sole Toyota, which then got taken out due to a collision with a lapped car. Audi now run an essentially uncontested 1-2, and Toyota's hopes for either the drivers' and manufacturers' titles are basically over, since they were already way behind Audi in both rankings coming in. They don't have much to salvage now, aside from trying to go out and win races, which as Audi have shown all year, including today, that's much easier said than done.

And after writing this, the #2 Audi lost a lap after the right rear wheel came off after a pit stop. At least the dorsal fin on the car served a use. Driver reattached the wheel and drove the car back to have it replaced.

Weather is still hot and humid, but I have faith that it'll break soon. At least that's what the weather channel is telling me.

I ordered my Amazon.com items this morning, and they should arrive in a few days hopefully. A couple of aviation books I've been wanting for a while. Gives me something to read over the winter. I've also reorganized the bedroom a bit, to make some of my stuff that I've been wanting to look at easier to get to.

So today has been productive, and I'll probably take a nap in a couple of hours and enjoy the rest of my long weekend.

I'll be back later :)
