I've spent the entire day reading Allegiant and it finished in a way I never imagined, that's all I can say without giving too much away.

I finished getting everything out of my car yesterday, my best friend helped, which was nice and we went to a craft store after as a way to cheer me up. We got the notice of the settlement today, which is great, so we can finally move forward finding another car.

Lynne-seeing how I finished Allegiant today, I'm fairly sure I'll be buying the Heir soon, perhaps tonight, because I'm in serious book withdraw!

Song-yeah, it was upsetting. I guess the confusion began when I went by and got a bunch of stuff out of my car, but really it was so full of stuff that I thought it was fairly obvious I wasn't done yet! It was good to go say goodbye.

Marielle-it took a call to a supervisor to get everything going, but I've given my statement and they're giving us the money for the car this week so I can go look for another one! I saw some pictures and it looks like you had fun at the Faire!

Hello!! It's been....I don't even want to say. Probably a year. No, probably since about January. Sorry! :o But I have great news. Action Rob has arrived at my house safe and sound! We have already gotten acquainted and chatted over a plate of home-made Halloween cookies. Of course, Action Rob likes to stay in character so he didn't eat (since that would be gross for a vampire). So I graciously ate his for him.

I'll pop on here and there to update you as to our fun times together.

I also want to say another huge thank you for the amazing part you've played in hubs and I having the opportunity to welcome our second child. Your encouragement and financial support has been so inspiring and relieving. And as you can see in this first picture, I got the adorable little outfits--thank you so much!!

Well, I finished reading Allegiant. While the story was pretty good generally, I won't be advising any of you to invest your emotions in reading it. No more will be said.

I've got to do a few more things in preparation for the launch today. I hope I remember everything ...

Sarah - Um, just remember when getting The Crown that it's not the end of the series. There is another book coming.

lulu - good to see you back! Enjoy Action Rob's company!

Hi everyone.

Sorry I was gone yesterday--internet was out until sometime today.

Probably won't be spending too much time online tonight, because I have that employee breakfast thing that I have to get up a 6:00 tomorrow morning to be ready for, and then I have to work until 4:00, so I have a long day tomorrow.

Hence, I'll look up some stuff here, and then have dinner and do 1-2 other things, then I'll be in bed the rest of tonight.

The thing that really sucks is that I almost got gone chapter 10 of my fan fic done yesterday, and was hoping to finish it last night, but now, I probably won't be able to work on it until the weekend.

But that's what I have on tap the next day or so.

I'll be back later :)

I introduced Bug to the wonder of smoothies this morning. She's hooked! I had bought bananas to take to work with me this past week and then found out I was only scheduled on Monday. So I had 3 bananas and they got overly-ripe, so I decided to make banana bread. My recipe tends to be really dry....I'd like a different one, but until then, I decided to try adding some sugar free applesauce to it to see if that moistened it up. It sure smelled good while it was baking, but I haven't cut into it yet. So I had a little bit of banana puree left over. Bug used to take banana to school with her for her snack time, but some kids called her a monkey and she decided she didn't like bananas. But she wanted to taste the puree. I explained that they get sweeter as they ripen more. She LOVED it. So then I added some of the applesauce, and a couple of strawberries since they were on sale, and blended them up and I was going to drink it. She wanted a taste and then decided she wanted the whole thing after she tasted it. It's ok...it was completely healthy for her. There was no sugar in it. It was just pureed fruit and there was no added sugar in the applesauce, so it was all healthy stuff for her. I guess now I have to go get some more fruit to make more smoothies! I wish I could get MM to taste it! He won't eat fruit AT ALL.
My house has smelled so good ALL day. I baked the banana bread and some zucchini bread and now I've got carrots with onion, garlic, and rosemary and some olive oil in the oven and the house just smells nice and homey.
Tomorrow is Euro-HHcon! I'm so excited. I will be missing most of the festivities because of my busy schedule, but at least I get to have dinner with the girls both Friday and Saturday and I can't wait to meet everyone!

Lynne...Allegiant...is that the Divergent series that Sarah has been talking about? Or is Allegiant a different series? I get so mixed up with all the poplular literature of the moment.
Any luck getting Sarah convinced to join the discussions on Goodreads? I haven't seen any comments from anyone but you, so I'm guessing not.

Lulu, it's so good to see you back! How are you feeling? When are you actually due? That was so nice of you to save Action Rob from having to eat the cookies against his character's will. You are very thoughtful!!

Sarah, did you like Allegiant? It doesn't sound like Lynne enjoyed it much and I was just wondering if you had the same reaction.

Morning all!

I'm working for Rochelle today. I hope it will be a good day. I need cheering up; I'm still in mourning after Allegiant.

Songbird - yes, it's the Allegiant that's the final in the Divergent series. Sarah's really upset too. No, it seems my friend Sarah isn't interested in coming to join the conversation yet. I will be pushing the topics a little more after The Crown is officially released.

Have fund at Euro-HH Con, those who are going! :)

Hi everyone.

Long, tiring day. 10 hours total of work-related commitments today. The employee breakfast went well after the crowd stuff died down. I also got 15 minutes of bonus time at work. But by the end of the day, I was pretty wiped out, and I work from 10-5 tomorrow. At least I get paid tomorrow.

I don't know if I'll watch F1 practice or not tonight--or should I say this morning. It comes on at 4:30 because the race is in India this weekend. Since I do have a long day at work, I might skip it in favor of more sleep. After all, first thing I did when I got home after work as go to sleep, and I only got up about an hour ago.

Well, at least the week's almost over and I do get paid tomorrow. Of course, I have to hope that I'll be awake enough to cash my check and do some grocery shopping. And, yes, I will try and finish my fan fic chapter this weekend.

I'll be back later :)

I've been in mourning for two days over that dang book. I'm devastated with how it ended. I keep wishing I hadn't finished the series and only read the first two. It just burns me that the author knew the entire time that's how she wanted to end it. I returned my copy of Allegiant today to Target, though they technically don't take back books that are read..but it was in perfect condition since I read it once, then re-read the ending once more to see if I could salvage it. Nope, not happening.

Lynne-I'll have to give myself a few days before buying The Heir. I'm emotionally drained! I keep thinking there's something wrong with me since I've been mourning the trilogy but I've also been lurking the Divergent fan forum and we're not alone. 90% of the fandom feels the same way we do. Bring back Twilight and our wonderful Edward.

Song-oh yum smoothies!! Let me know how your banana bread is, I might want the recipe!

And see my above paragraph about the book ;)

Today's the day of The Crown's book launch! There will be posts every hour on my Facebook author page and regular ones on Twitter. I've got quite a bit to do, and i hope it all runs smoothly, and that we sell a lot of books.

To those girls who are having fun and Euro-HHCon, think of us who can't be there. I hope you have a great time together. :)

Sarah - you know, I don't even feel like reading anything at all at the moment. I persuaded myself to pick up my kindle last night, but all the top books were all the Divergent ones, including Free Four and The Transfer. I really enjoyed them, but now they only make me feel sad. Apparently, VR has been getting quite a caning from the fans for this. I was reading an article about it yesterday. The backlash against it has been incredible. I've been discussing it at a few forums on Goodreads and most people are angry. Some are more philosophical about it. I don't begrudge VR being allowed to end the series the way she wanted to, however, I hope she didn't expect fans to like it, because that's never going to happen, especially taking into account the morose nature of the final chapter. None of the characters really seems happy in it. It's not a great way to end the series.

Good luck Lynne!!! I hope it goes well!!

I agree with you. She's an author, a writer..she's entitled to end it how she imagines. But if she thinks the fans were going to embrace it (and her anymore, for that matter), she is clearly out of touch. The entire book just felt so muddled and rushed. And you're right, no one seems happy! What was the point of the series then?

I'm trying to decide if I want to sell the books or not. I love Tris and the Divergent world and I keep books with me..I never forget them, it seems..which is why I'm still mourning. I'm really tempted to re-read Twilight, I need something happy!
