I don't mean to sound trite, but "The Scientist" by Coldplay used to make me cry.
Mainly because I used to listen to that song a lot after I finished reading New Moon for the first time :)

Currently... The Soundtrack to Les Miserables and "Defying Gravity" from Wicked make me cry.
Specifically "On My Own" because when I saw the musical (very recently) I cried my eyes out at Eponine's unrequited love, and for the actress's amazing performance.
And... whenever I sing "Defying Gravity", I forget everything. I sort of BECOME Elphaba. It's just loud vocals, me in the car, and all of my dreams and aspirations wrapped up into one amazing song. And it's the song that made me decide to pursue theatre. Plus, Idina Menzel is a vocal goddessss!

Ditto!!!! I get lost in that whole soundtrack!!! I'm sure whoever see's me singing at the top of my lungs while driving on the highway surely thinks I'm crazy! I would have loved to see Idina and Kristen live. I don't think that soundtrack will ever get old for me.

I know! I'm so sad that they left the show! However I am happy that they're doing great. Have you heard Kristen Chenoweth's song "Taylor the Latte Boy"? It's so funny! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXS0nEOx_20
When I first saw Wicked I cried my eyes out

I cry whenever I hear the song Moon River, which we sing a lot at school.
It's a beautiful song.

I have to agree with Defying Gravity and add For Good from Wicked. I've seen Wicked twice on Broadway and cried the entire way through both times. I'm actually listening to For Good right now lol

Oh there is this one song its called Almost Home by Craig Morgan it makes me cry every time

Here are the lyrics

He had plastic bags wrapped 'round his shoes
He was covered with the evening news
Had a pair of old wool socks on his hands

The bank sign was flashing "5 below
It was freezing rain an' spittin' snow
He was curled up behind some garbage cans

I was afraid that he was dead
I gave him a gentle shake
When he opened up his eyes
I said,"Old man are you ok?"

He said,"I just climbed out of a cottonwood tree
I was runnin' from some honey bees
Drip dryin' in the summer breeze
After jumpin' into Calico creek
I was walkin' down an old dirt road
Past a field of hay that had just been mowed
Man I wish you'd just left me alone
'Cause I was almost home..."

Then he said,"I was just comin' round the barn"
'Bout the time you grabbed my arm
When I heard Momma holler son hurry up
I was close enough for my old nose
To smell fresh cobbler on the stove
And I saw daddy loadin' up the truck
Cane poles on the tailgate
Bobbers blowin' in the wind
Since July of '55
That's as close as I've been

"Yeah, I just climbed out of a cottonwood tree
I was runin' from some honey bees
Drip dryin' in the summer breeze
After jumpin' into Calico creek
I was walkin' down an old dirt road
Past a field of hay that had just been mowed
Man I wish you'd just left me alone
I was almost home"

I said,"old man you're gonna freeze to death"
Let me drive you to the mission
He said,"Boy if you'd left me alone
Right now I'd be fishin'"

"I just climbed out of a cottonwood tree
I was runnin' from some honey bees
Drip dryin' in the summer breeze
After jumpin' into Calico creek
I was walkin' down an old dirt road
Past a field of hay that had just been mowed
Man I wish you'd just left me alone
'Cause I was almost home"

"Man I wish you'd just left me alone
I was almost home..."
