Ok, so here's my theory.

The Doctor is real.
The universe is so much bigger than we could ever imagine and doctor who is most definately real, as is torchwood, sarah jane's adventures etc.
Now, Everything that happens in the whole 'the 21st century is when it all changes' thing is slightly off time is all. 100 years to be precised.
So, when the daleks and cybermen attacked in the battle of canary wharf in 2006, it did infact happen in 2106.
its a pretty simple theory - and obviously alot of it is ficticious but that's just because a TV show is made to entertain. but the basis of all episodes is real. I mean, they wouldn't know the exact words he said so, of course, that was written by the BBC.
or was it?
You see, this whole plan revolves around one man. John Barrowman.
Think about it. Torchwood is dead - what now is left to celebrate the doctor's memory?
So Jack leaves, teleports back to mid 20th century and he starts a television show called 'Doctor Who', because through all the years he knew the doctor, he never really knew who he was.

And the theory really does work if you think about it. and its actually quite an interesting thing to contemplate. I mean, we've all cried over Tosh and Owen dying but their parents might not have even been born yet, let alone them. So their parents have to be born, meet, have kids, the kids grow up, then the kids meet each other and then they die.

Cool, eh?

And all Jack has to do is develop a manipulation science similar to that that the carrionites used on Shakespeare and use it on the BBC writers, or give tell them the truth and then retcon them, to make them think that they had the idea in the first place.

Although, his vanity did take its toll a bit and so he did take his own character and hense spin off series.

I could write more but I think that's basically it.

So... What do you think?

Truly brillian Remmett! I love it! :D
You need to submit that to the BBC or SciFi channel. I can definitely see a mini-series out of that! I mean, if they twist the Star Trek universe to re-start the whole franchise over again, why not have that as a sub-plot as well.

You sound just like my daughter. She has this great saying everytime she messes up what she is trying to say, which is quite often.
To quote my daughter..."Leave me alone, I'm speachingly dyslexic!"
By the way, she IS a natural blond.

By the way, ask love_is_noise about Tribbles. Star Trek has had 9 babies.

Google :The Trouble with Tribbles or try to find it on You Tube. Best Star Trek episode ever.

Had to laugh. Not at the haircut, but at your reaction to it. It doesn't matter what we do, mothers just can't be cool.

Not fair. Of course, sometimes moms do go a little overboard.

My mother used to take us to the beach and wear a bright red moomoo with a HUGE red straw hat with garish daisies around it. She thought it matched. She never understood why we disappeared into the water so quickly and refused to come out until she was already heading to the car and yelling that, "I am leaving you kids here to burn in the sun!"

Marilyn Monroe doesn't seem to bad to me. ;)

 Hell, your mother sounds worse than mine!

And that takes some doing *nods head reassuringly*

Then again, who needs a cool mother when you have a certain timelord for a father, eh? *waggles eyebrows* ;)

Ya know, maybe it was the retro haircut that attracted him to her in the first place. He's been all over time, maybe he had a crush on the original. ;)

Good Thinking.
The doctor - this uncoming storm described as;

He's like fire and ice and rage,
He's like the night and the storm and the heart of the sun,
he's ancient and forever,
he burns at the centre of time and he can feel the turn of the universe.
And he's wonderful.

fell for his first and most awsome companion because.... she had great hair.
so that's why they didn't televise that part of his life.
