love_is_noise wrote:so what do all you people think the new doctor and assistant will be like?
me and ermmett have a sneaking suspicion that the assistant will be abit of a kate (from robin hood)...she's anoying, tries to be s strong female character, but jsut gets in the way alot....you may think there is no point in her but wait...she has her wit! :?

and I'm looking foward to the doctor, he was ace as jim(ruby in the smoke), but I think it'll take me a while to get over the loss of tennant
Davie T is great, yeah, but I don't think it'll be that much of a shame.

to be honest, I am just so petrified of the fact that he isn't living out the full potentials of his regenerations.
I mean, without stealing the regenerations of other timelords, He could have about 1300 years.
but no. he has to go and be reckless and waste them.
so if he regenerates after say, 20 years in one regeneration - that's throwing away 80 odd years of his life!!!
he'll probably only live 500 in total, knowing him

And I know we don't know how long Chris E was the doctor but ONE SERIES?! COME ON!

one day he's just going to get shot. the end.

*sulks* I love him so much - HE CANNOT DIE ON ME!

so in conclusion, I'm not too fussed about which actors come and go because the writers are basically the same which means the character is basically the same - I'm just annoyed that he's digging himself into an early grave. god i'm such a dork.

I just hope she isn't another Rose, unless they are willing to play on the Dr.'s feelings about that. Sometimes, it's nice when he shows loss from one personality to another. I will miss Tennant, I think he was brilliant!

Remmett - absolutely agree! How can a guy go through a life in 13 or 26 episodes and be so old?!? They waste them like he has an indefinite number of regenerations, and at this rate he will have to resort to thievery every five years or so! The older series didn't kill them off so fast.
Wow, do I sound old and cranky!

Yeah, me too - and i'm only 14!

although, I have this theory with my friends which means i'm secretly half timelord - in which case, we worked it out and i'm really 29.

don't ask - I could write paragraphs.

Welcome to middle age, then. Does it work backwards? I would LOVE to be 29 again (only with the smarts and experience I have gained since then).

Mmm... no my theory was all about cross referencing the fact we don't know who my biological father was (because my mum went away for a while and then came back pregnant) and my infinate similarities with the doctor.

We reckon he's my dad.

then, with some extensive hours of mathematical calculations, we reached the conclusion that I regenerated at the age of 15, making my true age 29

:D Well, i'll put in a good word for you, 'ite?

Thetey boy's always looking for a new companion.

Although it should just be Rose, followed by River Song (one Rose has died)

RUssel T Davis just screwed up a happy ending : /

idiot.

The've screwed up LOTS of happy endings.
Sci Fi gets screwed up all the time.
Did you ever get the show Eureka or Firefly there? I loved those shows, and both are in limbo.
Yet, the awful soap operas that infest the airwaves daily go on for years with the same plot and awful writing.
I don't get it.

OMG did anyone watch torchwood!! :x most stupidest ending ever!!!

oh we also have a theory about how doctor who and torchwood are actually documentarie type things but from the future...remmett, care to expand...

Yes! Please expand. This could be good.

By the way, kinda sounds like the plot from Space Quest, where the little freaky aliens thought that the old tv show was a documantary. I love that movie. :D
