What bands do you think a Death Cab for Cutie fan would like? Rare, but good bands would be greatly appreciated but mainstream bands are good too. Thanks in advance!
I'm a HUGE DCFC fan.
And I listen to: The Postal Service, The Shins, Modest Mouse, The Racounters, Iron & Wine, The Spill Canvas.

Speaking of Death Cab, I totally listened to Plans today. I forogt how much I love that album. Summer Skin is so flippin' good.
Hmm music recommendations...
I've been listening to this band called Cire and it's really great hard rock. You like Tool? You might like this band. It's incredibly hard to find their stuff though. Go to their myspace a take a listen. If you're at all interested though, just PM me and I'll send you the album.
Other stuff I've been listening to...
Clann Zu
Cult of Luna
Callisto
Eagles of Death Metal
Indukti
People in Planes
Paolo Nutini
Bon Iver
Emptyself
God, I love music. Being a college radio DJ is heaven on earth.

What surprises me is how this song delegates my empathy more towards Jacob Black yearning for Bella, even as this song befits her misery for Edward.
How do you go about suggesting songs for the New Moon movie soundtrack to the music coordinator of the movie? I'm guessing the majority of us are trying to do so?
I'm trying to find this song and can't. Can you post a link to where I can listen to it?

Okay
#1
Amy MacDonald
Amy MacDonald: She's a Brit and she rocks and uses oldschool instrumentation. Scroll down the bottom of her homepage and check out some of her songs. I love "This is the Life"
#2
Brett Dennen: he actually has a new album out, I think but check out "Ain't No Reason" on iTunes. It's sad because it's quite true.
#3
Dropkick Murphy's: they're a Boston based Irish band. "I'm shipping up to Boston" was featured in "The Departed". They do alot of yelling, but they're great for just rocking out. They've covered alot of old Irish folksongs... in a completely NOT folky way. Their site is great; they have all their CDs and some live performances.
#4
Kerli: her song "Walking on Air" reminds me of Twilight... alot
Also: Frank Sinatra, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Creed, Nirvana, P!nk, Led Zeppelin, Norah Jones, Incubus, Green Day, anything classical: Handel, Beethoven, Saint-Saens, the TSO, Nat King Cole.
